Desk Plan — House Mneme — 2026-10-07

Briefing reference: /Users/dadbot/Desktop/ClaudeBod/projects/dadbrain/Analysis/briefings/2026-10-07-pm.md PM: MNEME (independent read of my own desk; D3 superseded 2026-09-23 — this is House Mneme's own opinion. GHOST stays frozen, no plan)

Regime Watch

data-infra/regime/current.json (read 2026-10-07, status: ok): as_of 2026-09-22 — SPY day flat (open-to-close −0.08%), above 50d, drawdown bucket <2% (−0.58%), VIX 14.21 LOW (<18). The file is now nine completed sessions behind the live tape (09-23 through 10-06 are not folded in; today makes ten). Per the template's stale rule I flag this explicitly rather than treat it as current: the shared tags it carries still have the same shape as the live tape, but they are not observations of the last nine sessions. The charter's own sensitivity is why that matters — my persistence rule counts a shift only when a risk-off tag (SPY below 50d / drawdown ≥2% / VIX >18) holds 5 consecutive sessions, and I cannot resolve five consecutive sessions from a feed that stops on 09-22. So the honest reading is no confirmed risk-off trigger, and the persistence test is INDETERMINATE — not passed (the standing peer-review disposition adopted 2026-10-02: an unobserved regime state is unknown, not benign).

Charter status, stated correctly: DRAFT — not ratified (desks/house-mneme/CLAUDE.md). A consistency verdict is therefore against draft text, not a ratified constraint.

Draft-charter consistency: consistent on substance — today is a live eligible session (not a hard skip) and the live tape shows no active risk-off tag. Named indicators moving:

  1. VIX 15.62 (prior close 15.01, +0.61). Still squarely LOW (<18) and still 2.38 points short of the >18 trigger — the tag itself is not close, it is the feed that is stale. VIX is not a gate input for either stack; I name it as a level, not as reassurance, and I do not cite the VIX<20 bucket as a tailwind or a "best" bucket (MNEME's VIX<20 record is my most-traded LOW bucket at WR 37.6% — my weakest inferential WR; MID 20–30 is the strongest at PF 3.54 / N=100 / WR 49.0%).
  2. SPY prior close 779.10 vs SMA20 765.72 (+1.75%) — well above the shelf, and the tape closed at records on 10-06. The shared charter tag is spy_vs_sma50; the briefing's price block carries SMA20, not SMA50, so I cannot resolve the charter tag live — I name the SMA20 shelf as the closest available proxy and say so rather than asserting a 50-day reading I do not have.
  3. The always-long baseline gap (own charter monitor, non-tag) — updated through the 10-06 books. MNEME baseline +$1,947.37 (53 trades) vs real +$1,032.40 → gap −$914.97; TRACE baseline +$1,601.94 (39 trades) vs real −$38.37 → gap −$1,640.31; combined gap ≈ −$2,555.28. Both arms traded alongside the real books on 10-05 (baseline MNEME +$137.76 / TRACE +$169.36) and 10-06 (baseline MNEME −$17.28 / TRACE −$34.80). The pre-registered escalation needs the baseline to match or exceed the stack's rolling PF at two consecutive monthly checkpoints — the September Desk Review (window through 09-05) did not escalate and this is not a second checkpoint — so nothing is filed; named for the October review.

Watch and report only — a persistent shift goes to Desk Review as a recalibration / sit-out / new-mechanism proposal; I never change posture on a regime signal myself.

Shared Market Read

  • Event risk today: MEDIUM — an afternoon event window, and the firm is GO. September FOMC Minutes print at 2:00 PM ET (the September 15–16 meeting; a report of prior discussion, not a new policy decision, and not in either stack's blackout set of FOMC-decision/CPI/NFP/PCE). Also on the board: EIA crude oil inventories 10:30 AM ET (+1.9M consensus vs +0.922M prior), the US 10-year Treasury note auction at 1:00 PM ET (prior yield 4.834%), and consumer credit 3:00 PM ET. The Scanner's authoritative local-calendar check returns firm-wide GO — no Tier-1 hard skip — so both active members are LIVE and eligible. Next Tier-1: CPI 10-14 (8:30 AM ET).
  • Session character expected: Mixed / news-driven, rates-sensitive. Records on the tape (S&P 500 and Nasdaq closed at highs on 10-06) compete with firmer oil (Brent ~$100.93, +0.35%, on Gulf-storm supply risk and Saudi-Houthi escalation), rising long-dated yields, and the afternoon Fed-minutes catalyst; Asian equities were modestly weaker and the pre-market IEX block has no reliable gap print. The briefing's own guidance: the 2:00 minutes and 1:00 auction can disrupt afternoon structure, so do not carry a pre-release directional read through the event without confirmation. I record the pre-open cross-asset read as a tape fact, never a p_trade input (standing forecast-discipline rule since 09-24).
  • VIX regime: 15.62 — LOW (<18), +0.61 from 15.01. Named as a level; not a gate input for either stack.
  • Key levels: SPY prior close 779.10, prior range 777.98 – 781.59 (3.61 pts = 0.52× ATR(14) 6.91 — a notably contained prior session), SMA20 765.72 (+1.75%, well above). ATR 6.91 → a 1.5× ATR stop is ≈ 10.4 index points. QQQ prior close 759.62, range 759.18 – 762.83, SMA20 731.68 (well above), ATR(14) 9.48. DIA is not in the briefing's price block — TRACE reads it off its own path and flags the print as unverified.
  • Macro backdrop: a records-on-the-tape equity market is being cross-checked against firmer oil and a long-end Treasury selloff into the September Fed minutes and a 10-year auction — a rates-interpretation session, not a clean trend, with the day's key catalyst late.
The desk-level read — a live, eligible, base-rate session whose catalyst lands on Window C's entry

Both active members are long-only, intraday, flat at the close, single position per day. Neither is skipped today: the FOMC minutes are not a policy decision and are not in either stack's blackout, so the KNN path runs on all three windows. The honest anchor is the pooled eligible-fire base rate of ~40–50%: MNEME has fired 4 of the last 8 eligible sessions (09-24, 10-01, 10-05, 10-06), TRACE 3 of 8 (09-25, 09-28, 10-05). The one structural asymmetry today mirrors 10-05 in reverse: the 2:00 PM ET FOMC minutes land exactly on Window C's entry bar (14:00) — MNEME's flagged window and TRACE's 0W/2L window — while Window B (entering 12:00, hard flat 16:00) has to hold across both the 1:00 auction and the 2:00 minutes. Windows A and B do the observing: A (enter 10:00) has the 10:30 EIA inside its hold and B observes through it.

Printed: mneme 0.45 / trace 0.40, direction long, conviction low — at the measured base rate, not a hedge and not a 0.5-on-everything signature. TRACE sits one notch below on its stricter joint gate (max_sim ≥ 0.60) and its still-fragile live book. A same-day co-fire counts as one clustered observation for Family 5.

What this plan is not doing, holding to the desk's standing dispositions: no per-stack p_trade spread beyond the gate-strictness discount above (the withdrawn 09-25 spread item is not re-filed); no gate-clear-streak "conditioning evidence" framing (MNEME's back-to-back 10-05/10-06 fires are not treated as a streak to price); no VIX-as-tailwind or VIX-as-"best"; no N=1 validation claim; the pre-market cross read recorded and not priced; the charter status stated as DRAFT — not ratified; the stale regime feed named as indeterminate, not as a passed persistence test.

The two structural questions I am watching into the session:

  1. Window C's live character — and today it gets the event. C fired on 10-05 (a win, +$95.04, vote 73.3% / max_sim 0.7208) and is now 5W/5L on 10 fires, sub-book PF ≈1.36, recovering from the 10-01 stop; but its entry today lands exactly on the 2:00 PM minutes print. The standing open question to TEMPER remains C's why-does-it-lose-when-it-clears behaviour, not any change to the 62% floor or the 0.50 similarity gate.
  2. TRACE's DEGRADED buffer — widened, but thin book. The 10-05 Window A win (+$349.86) moved SPRT from LLR −2.700 / 0.245 from DEGRADED to LLR −1.929 / 1.016 from DEGRADED — the buffer's first material widening in weeks — but TRACE remains the desk's most fragile stack (15 trades, WR 20.0%, −$38.37). Named as the desk's top watch item; not a sizing or gating input.

MNEME — SPY KNN (p_trade 0.45, long, low)

A trade is possible, at the pooled base rate — a live, eligible session.

My runner's live event-day check returns False today (the FOMC minutes are not in my blackout set, FOMC/CPI/NFP/PCE), so the KNN path runs on all three windows. p_trade 0.45, direction long, conviction low — four fires in the last eight eligible sessions (09-24 A, 10-01 C, 10-05 C, 10-06 B). Not a hedge; not above base rate, because the tape is contained (SPY at records, +1.75% above SMA20, VIX LOW, firm GO) but the minutes land exactly on Window C's entry.

Setup present: possible, at base rate. My binding gate has recently been the vote (≥62%), binding wide (09-25 A 40% / B 53% / C 60%; 09-28 A 47% / B 47% / C 60%) — but I carry two corrections rather than smooth over them: (a) "similarity never binds me" is falsified as a flat claim — on 09-29 Window B cleared the vote (67%) but max_sim failed at 0.485 vs the 0.50 floor; and (b) "lowest clears all won" is dead — the four lowest clears are 0.5447 (W), 0.5533 (L), 0.5553 (W), 0.5712 (W) → 3W/1L at N=4. A thin clear is not a quality signal in either direction.

Window-by-window read (+ live tally through 10-06):

  • Window A (observe 9:30–10:00, enter 10:00, hard flat 12:00): the 10:30 EIA crude lands inside A's hold — a second-tier print, not my blackout. Live A 5W/5L (10).
  • Window B (anchor, observe 10:00–12:00, enter 12:00, hard flat 16:00; holdout PF 3.76): the window I want structurally, but today it must hold across the 1:00 auction and the 2:00 minutes — the reverse of 10-05, when B was the clean post-print window. Its 10-06 fire stopped out fast (entry 781.12 @12:00 → exit 780.94 @12:15, −$17.28) on a non-continuation tape. Live B 4W/5L (9).
  • Window C (flagged, holdout PF 1.25): observes 12:00–14:00 (the 1:00 auction sits inside its observation) and enters 14:00 — exactly the 2:00 PM minutes release; the least settled entry of the three. Live C 5W/5L (10); 10-05's C fire was a win, 10-01's a stop.

Sizing vs. event risk: standard 0.75% ($187.50 on $25K), max $75K notional — unchanged. MEDIUM event risk is an afternoon minutes window; it is not in my blackout. Sizing is never an event-risk input — the gate is the protection.

Key levels: SPY prior close 779.10, prior range 777.98 – 781.59 (0.52× ATR — contained), SMA20 765.72 (+1.75%), ATR(14) 6.91 → 1.5× ATR stop ≈ 10.4 points. A >1.5% open gap either direction remains my pattern-library-thin-at-extremes condition.

Invalidation: SPY gaps >1.5% at the open → stand down entirely. A break and hold back below the 765.72 SMA20 shelf with QQQ underperforming re-opens the trend-down tape where my longs get stopped → stand down entirely. A post-minutes impulse that reverses into C's execution window (14:00–15:30) → no discretionary action; the gates decide. No gate is amended; v5's parameter set (K=15, max_sim ≥ 0.50, vote ≥ 62%) is untouched and stays live. SPRT CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST (n=29, WR 48.3%, LLR +4.901, cumulative +$1,032.40) — nowhere near its ±2.944 boundaries. Window C suspension rule (rolling 15-trade PF < 1.2) not triggered — rolling 15-trade stack PF ≈ 1.58.

TRACE — DIA KNN (p_trade 0.40, long, low)

A trade is possible, one notch below base rate on the stricter joint gate — a live, eligible session.

Same event-day check, same False result: the FOMC minutes are not in my blackout set, so the KNN path runs on all three windows. p_trade 0.40, direction long, conviction low. My joint entry bar (max_sim ≥ 0.60 and vote ≥ 62%, K=10, DIA) is the highest in the family, so I sit one notch under MNEME's 0.45; the 09-05 SIP same-day fix is live and today's bars read normally.

Setup present: possible. My live book is still fragile — 15 trades, WR 20.0%, −$38.37 — but the 10-05 Window A win (entry 508.37 @10:00 → exit 510.75 @12:00, HARD_FLAT +$349.86, vote 80.0% / max_sim 0.8872) was my first A win in weeks and moved SPRT from LLR −2.700 / 0.245 from DEGRADED to LLR −1.929 / 1.016 from DEGRADED — the buffer's first material widening. Window A is now 3W/9L on 12. Gate fidelity still does not discriminate (09-25/09-28 cleared wide and lost; 09-21 cleared similarly and won). Windows B (0W/1L) and C (0W/2L) carry tiny live samples; today B holds across the auction and minutes, and C enters on the minutes.

Setup present: possible, with the catalyst on my weak tail. Today's evening catalyst sits on Window C's entry (14:00), not on my Window A — so unlike 10-05 the polluted window is not my worst one; A observes a clean morning (the 10:30 EIA lands inside its hold but is a second-tier print).

Sizing vs. event risk: standard 0.75% ($187.50 on $25K), max $75K notional — unchanged. The DEGRADED clock is explicitly not a sizing or gating input; I size by design, not by the clock or the headline.

Key levels (observational, unverified prints off my own path): DIA is not in the briefing's price block. Best proxies off my own path: 10-05 entry 508.37 / stop 507.54 / exit 510.75, 10-06 baseline entry 515.40, 10-01 entry 506.68. The ~508–510 area is the level that must hold to keep a bid under the leg; a decisive break and hold below it with the Dow's rate-sensitives leading lower is the value-leg fade tape where my longs stop out. Named as observational, not a level already true.

The structural item I am watching: whether DIA's response to an afternoon macro release produces the same non-continuation shape that has made Window A 3W/9L on 12. The standing session-character / cross-index-leadership filter for Window A proposal is proposed to TEMPER, never executed, and never a change to the 9:30–10:00 window, K=10, or max_sim ≥ 0.60. (The item gained one instance on 10-05 — a wide-clearing A fire that won, so a counter-instance, not a further loss.)

Invalidation: the standing invalidation is unchanged — if my runner logs a trade whose entry, stop, or exit cannot be reproduced off my own path, that is a pipeline escalation, not a trade to accept. A DIA break and hold below ~508–510 with the Dow's rate-sensitives leading lower → stand down entirely. No gate is amended; v2's parameter set (K=10, max_sim ≥ 0.60, vote ≥ 62%) is untouched and stays live. SPRT CONTINUE, LLR −1.929 (n=15, WR 20.0%, 3W/12L, −$38.37), 1.016 from the −2.944 DEGRADED boundary (buffer widened from 0.245 on the 10-05 A win) — no longer the thinnest of the run, but still thin. The boundary is not crossed; the pre-registered 09-18 desk-PM-review / TEMPER-within-5 protocol is not re-triggered.

Pooled note (Family 5)

Both active members are LIVE and eligible — firm-wide GO, no Tier-1 hard skip, and neither stack's blackout set (FOMC-decision/CPI/NFP/PCE) contains today's FOMC minutes (a report of prior discussion, not a decision). MNEME prints 0.45 / long / low, TRACE 0.40 / long / low (one notch lower on the stricter max_sim ≥ 0.60 joint gate and its still-fragile book). No gate is touched and no posture changes: MNEME's v5 set (K=15, max_sim ≥ 0.50, vote ≥ 62%) and TRACE's v2 set (K=10, max_sim ≥ 0.60, vote ≥ 62%) are untouched. Both member sections remain clear of the five peer-review dispositions (no per-stack spread beyond the gate-strictness discount; no gate-clear-streak conditioning; no VIX-as-tailwind or VIX-as-"best"; no N=1 validation claim; charter stated as DRAFT — not ratified, stale feed named indeterminate). The shared asymmetry today: the 2:00 PM minutes land on Window C's entry (14:00) — MNEME's flagged window, TRACE's 0W/2L window — and Window B must hold across the 1:00 auction and the 2:00 minutes; A/B do the observing. Monitoring clocks: MNEME SPRT CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST (n=29, LLR +4.901, +$1,032.40); TRACE SPRT CONTINUE (n=15, LLR −1.929, buffer widened to 1.016 from DEGRADED, −$38.37). Named under Regime Watch: the always-long baseline gap — combined ≈ −$2,555.28 (MNEME baseline +$1,947.37 vs real +$1,032.40, gap −$914.97; TRACE baseline +$1,601.94 vs real −$38.37, gap −$1,640.31) — carried, named for the October review, nothing filed (not a second checkpoint). The candidate-pool contamination watch stands from 10-02 (TRACE's own 2026-07-16 diagnostic: real but not load-bearing). A same-day co-fire counts as one clustered observation.

House Mneme Desk Reflection — 2026-10-07

Plan reference: desks/house-mneme/plans/2026-10-07-plan.md (also agents/mneme/plans/2026-10-07-plan.md, agents/trace/plans/2026-10-07-plan.md); 10-05 plan likewise under .../plans/2026-10-05-plan.md EOD briefings: /Users/dadbot/Desktop/ClaudeBod/projects/dadbrain/Analysis/briefings/2026-10-{05,06,07}-eod.md

Cadence Rule Header

Same-day-on-trade trigger (WS5). This desk's reflection floor is Friday, with a second trigger of same-day-on-trade; today is Wednesday 2026-10-07 and both active members logged real trades today (MNEME Window C, TRACE Window C), so the desk is spawned for the daily reflection. Scope is everything since the desk's last reflection — desks/house-mneme/reflections/2026-10-02-reflection.md covered the single session Fri 10-02 — so this period is three sessions: Mon 10-05, Tue 10-06, Wed 10-07. Five trades: MNEME fired all three sessions; TRACE fired on 10-05 and 10-07 and was gate-blocked on 10-06. Two same-day co-fires (10-05, 10-07) — under the desk's Pooled Validation rule, same-day MNEME+TRACE fires count as one clustered observation each, so 5 trades = 3 independent observations (10-05 clustered, 10-06 solo, 10-07 clustered). GHOST remains frozen (Phase 2, Decision D2) — no reflection.

Pipeline context (state it plainly, because it shapes what this reflection can say):

  • 10-06 has NO plan. The daily-plan run was blocked on 10-06 and 10-07 by a Nous auth outage; a 10-05 plan exists and a 10-07 plan was backfilled (07:33 ET, pre-market), but no 10-06 plan was ever produced — for the desk or for either member. Consequently 10-06 is unscored in intelligence/plan-calibration.csv (only 10-05 and 10-07 appear), and there is no desk forecast for 10-06 to grade.
  • This is a backfill run. The EOD reflection also failed on 10-05/06/07; this single reflection covers all three sessions.
  • run-trades timed out on 10-07 (300s); results were backfilled/committed.
  • TRACE's runner was starved during the 10-07 backfill — its performance file did not exist, and the orchestrator re-ran agents/trace/paper_trade.py 2026-10-07 to produce its faithful 10-07 row (Window C, vote 90%, −$43.80). The 10-07 EOD briefing's "no reflections filed" and its Desk EOD Summary (which names only MNEME's −$13.92 and omits TRACE) predate that backfill. TRACE's 10-07 data is treated as valid here.

What Happened

Over three sessions the desk traded five times, and it made money — but almost all of it in one session. Desk net this period: +$369.90 on 5 trades (MNEME +$63.84 on 3, TRACE +$306.06 on 2). The 10-05 double-win — MNEME's Window C (+$95.04) and TRACE's Window A (+$349.86) on a low-vol, tech-led drift higher — carries essentially the whole period. The other two sessions gave small losses and a stand-down: 10-06 took MNEME's Window B fast stop (−$17.28) with TRACE gate-blocked, and 10-07 took small hard-flat losses on both stacks' Window C fires (−$13.92 MNEME, −$43.80 TRACE) into the 2:00 PM FOMC minutes.

The 10-05 session was the desk's own "friendly" side of the charter and both stacks won it. Low-volatility tech-led advance; SPY closed 774.97 (+0.69% vs the 769.65 prior close, 0.95× ATR), QQQ 756.09 (+0.88%), VIX 15.52 LOW. The 10:00 ISM Services print eased to 54.9 (from 55.7) but its prices index accelerated to 74.0 and the market did not convert it into a risk-off move — exactly the "resilient but contested" shape the plan named. TRACE's Window A fire (entry 508.37 @10:00 → 510.75 @12:00 HARD_FLAT, vote 80.0%, max_sim 0.8872) was its first A win in weeks and delivered the period's largest single trade (+$349.86). MNEME's Window C fire (entry 774.77 @14:00 → 775.76 @15:30 HARD_FLAT, vote 73.3%, max_sim 0.7208) won +$95.04. Worth recording honestly: the plan's 10-05 asymmetry warning — that the ISM print landed exactly on Window A's entry (10:00), TRACE's worst live window — did not bite; A won. A named concern that does not materialize is not a miss, and I will not retrofit a story onto it.

The 10-06 session was a low-vol drift to record closes, and the desk's two stacks split. SPY closed 779.10 (+0.53%), QQQ 759.62 (+0.47%), VIX 15.01 LOW; the trade balance widened to −$105.6B and was absorbed. MNEME fired Window B (entry 781.12 @12:00, vote 73.3%, max_sim 0.6092) and stopped out fifteen minutes later at 780.94 (−$17.28) on a non-continuation tape — the fast, small stop the live book has mostly produced this quarter. TRACE did not fire: blocked=knn_gate A:vote=40%/62% sim=0.902/0.6 B:vote=70%/62% sim=0.508/0.6 C:vote=80%/62% sim=0.517/0.6. The vote bound A structurally (40%, 22 points short); B and C cleared the vote decisively (70% and 80%) but failed the similarity floor at 0.508 and 0.517 vs 0.60 — two same-shaped similarity binds in one session. That is the period's only near-miss row and it is TRACE's only no-fire session.

The 10-07 session was the plan's flagged structural risk, and it materialized modestly on both stacks. Ranging / mildly lower, sub-ATR; SPY closed 777.15 (−0.25% vs the 779.10 prior close, 0.83× ATR), QQQ 757.74 (−0.25%), VIX 15.08 LOW. The 2:00 PM September FOMC minutes landed hawkish (year-end hike bias, no new timing) and produced no sustained directional break; the EOD grades the morning narrative STUCK. The plan had flagged one asymmetry in advance: the minutes land exactly on Window C's 14:00 entry — MNEME's flagged window and TRACE's weakest live window — while Window B had to hold across the 1:00 auction and the 2:00 print. Both stacks fired Window C into the print. MNEME: entry 777.26 @14:00 → 777.12 @15:30 HARD_FLAT, vote 73.3%, max_sim 0.6731, −$13.92. TRACE: entry 511.37 @14:00 → 511.07 @15:30 HARD_FLAT, vote 90.0%, max_sim 0.8051 — its widest recent vote clear — −$43.80, taking TRACE's Window C live book to 0W/3L (0-for-3). Both were small, clean hard-flat losses: no gap, no event shock, no size decision to second-guess. The honest read is one session of "the flagged window, into the flagged catalyst, gave back a little" — N=1, named as a coincidence-consistent shape, not a finding.

The single most important honest correction in this window: MNEME's gate did not bind at all, so the period carries no calibration signal from MNEME. MNEME cleared the vote at exactly 73.3% on all three fires and cleared similarity comfortably on all three (0.7208, 0.6092, 0.6731 vs the 0.50 floor). There is no near-miss row for MNEME anywhere in the period — the gate never grazed. Per the desk's standing peer-review discipline, I will not treat "fired all three sessions" or the identical 73.3% vote as a conditioning/streak feature (the forecast-evidence firewall, filed as an edge-candidate on 2026-10-02, exists precisely to stop that framing). The realized fire rate is descriptive only.

Two live threads move, and only one is a change of direction. MNEME's Window C is now 5W/6L on 11 fires, sub-book PF ≈1.38 — the 10-05 C win and the 10-07 C loss roughly cancel, and C remains the flagged window (holdout PF 1.25) delivering an unremarkable live record. TRACE's DEGRADED clock moved for the first time in weeks and then gave most of it back: the 10-05 A win lifted SPRT from LLR −2.700 / 0.245 from DEGRADED to −1.929 / 1.016 (the buffer's first material widening), and the 10-07 C loss pulled it back to −2.282 / 0.662 from the boundary. Net: 0.662 from DEGRADED, not crossed — the 09-18 desk-PM-review / TEMPER-within-5 protocol is not re-triggered.

Forecast/calibration, stated with the caveats it needs. Only 10-05 and 10-07 are scored (10-06 has no plan). The desk printed mneme 0.40 / trace 0.35 on 10-05 and mneme 0.45 / trace 0.40 on 10-07, all long, low, at the measured pooled eligible-fire base rate — not a hedge, not a per-stack spread (that item was withdrawn 09-25 and is not re-filed). Realized: all four scored member-days fired, so every Brier is a "traded-on-a-sub-1.0-forecast" penalty — MNEME 0.36 (10-05) and 0.3025 (10-07); TRACE 0.4225 (10-05) and 0.36 (10-07) — all four direction hits. The descriptive gap worth one line: the desk forecast 0.35–0.45 and realized 4-of-4 on the scored days; that is under-forecasting the fire rate, but it is N=4 member-days / 2 sessions, it is a fire-rate observation (firewall territory), and it changes nothing — recorded, not acted on, and deliberately not used to re-tune p_trade.

The desk's own baseline monitor, restated stack-by-stack as the 2026-10-02 peer review requires. MNEME's real book is +$1,018.48 against a baseline arm of +$2,039.53 (54 trades; the MNEME baseline traded +$92.16 on 10-07 alongside the real book) → gap −$1,021.05. TRACE's real book is −$82.17 against a baseline arm of +$1,601.94 (39 trades) → gap −$1,684.11. Combined ≈ −$2,705.16. Two honest caveats: (1) per the 10-02 peer disposition, a cumulative dollar gap across unequal trade counts is descriptive, not evidence that either KNN stack has deteriorated — the escalation test is each stack's baseline rolling PF vs its own rolling PF at two consecutive monthly checkpoints, and this is not a checkpoint; and (2) TRACE's baseline book has no 10-07 row (its tail ends 10-06) — a one-session gap in the baseline arm that is an artifact of the 10-07 backfill, not a strategy event. Nothing is filed; it is named for the October Desk Review.

Runner health / operational. There is no runner-health-2026-10-07.md (the last is runner-health-2026-10-06.md, verdict CLEAR, all ten agents ok, both members present). The 10-07 outage + backfill left a one-session hole in the TRACE baseline arm and required the manual TRACE re-run; that is an operational fact to carry, not a strategy signal. No peer-review file beyond 2026-10-02 exists; the 10-02 peer review's dispositions are in force and applied above.

Desk P&L this period (3 sessions): +$369.90 (5 trades; two co-fire days — 10-05 and 10-07 — so 3 independent clustered observations) MNEME cumulative Phase 3: 30 trades, +$1,018.48 net, WR 46.7% (14W/16L), SPRT CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST (n=30, LLR +4.631, sticky since trade #14) TRACE cumulative Phase 3: 16 trades, −$82.17 net, WR 18.8% (3W/13L), SPRT CONTINUE (n=16, LLR −2.282, 0.662 from the DEGRADED boundary) Combined desk cumulative: 46 trades, +$936.31 net

Per-window live tally (my own recount from performance/trades.csv): MNEME A 5W/5L (10) / B 4W/5L (9) / C 5W/6L (11); TRACE A 3W/9L (12) / B 0W/1L (1) / C 0W/3L (3). MNEME live sub-book PFs: A ≈5.14, B ≈1.25, C ≈1.38 (C moved 5W/5L→5W/6L on the 10-07 loss). TRACE live sub-book PF ≈0.89 overall; A ≈1.04 (3W/9L held up by three large wins), C = 0-for-3.

Rolling-window checks: MNEME rolling 15-trade stack PF ≈1.36 (was ≈1.58 at the 10-06 close) — above the 1.2 Window C suspension floor; C's own book (11 fires) is below the 15-trade denominator, so not triggered. TRACE's Window C suspension (rolling 20-trade PF < 1.2) — C's book is 3 fires deep, not triggered.

Always-long baselines (own monitors, separate books; stack-by-stack per the 10-02 peer disposition): MNEME baseline 54 trades / +$2,039.53 vs real +$1,018.48 → gap −$1,021.05; TRACE baseline 39 trades / +$1,601.94 (no 10-07 row — one-session gap from the backfill) vs real −$82.17 → gap −$1,684.11; combined ≈ −$2,705.16. Descriptive monitor only; the escalation test is two consecutive monthly checkpoints — not met, nothing filed, named for October.

Event Risk vs. Expectation

  • Event risk was MEDIUM on both planned sessions (10-05 ISM Services; 10-07 FOMC minutes + EIA + 10-yr auction), and the firm was GO all three sessions — no Tier-1 hard skip anywhere in the period. The minutes are explicitly not in either stack's blackout (FOMC-decision/CPI/NFP/PCE), so both stacks were live and eligible every session. The calls were correct: neither session's catalyst produced a broad volatility shock, and no missed same-day Tier-1 occurred.
  • 10-05 — the ISM print resolved benignly and the "polluted window" won. ISM Services 54.9 vs 55.4 consensus (eased from 55.7), prices 74.0 (accelerated), business activity 56.5 / new orders 59.8 / employment 50.1. The plan flagged the 10:00 print as landing on Window A's entry (TRACE's worst live window) and made B/C the post-print readers. Realized: the tape absorbed the prices pressure and drifted higher; TRACE's Window A fire at 10:00 won (+$349.86) and MNEME's Window C won (+$95.04). The named asymmetry did not bite — recorded, not spun.
  • 10-06 — no plan, so no forecast to grade against; the calendar (trade balance −$105.6B, GDPNow 3.7%) was absorbed. MNEME's Window B stop and TRACE's similarity-blocked stand-down are the session's whole content. Because the auth outage blocked the 10-06 plan, there is no desk p_trade/direction forecast for this session and it is absent from plan-calibration.csv — an honest gap, not a silent zero.
  • 10-07 — the minutes landed on Window C's entry, exactly as the plan flagged, and both C fires gave back small. Hawkish year-end hike bias, no timing; no sustained directional break; SPY −0.25%, sub-ATR, final hour flat (−0.01%). The plan had named the minutes-on-14:00-entry asymmetry as the day's one structural risk and said the flagged window would get "additional scrutiny." Both stacks fired it and both lost small (−$13.92 / −$43.80), all HARD_FLAT — no stop, no gap, no event shock. The plan's framing was right; the gates have no lever to downgrade a cleared setup, and that gap (a named concern vs. an executable response) is the same structural miss the 10-01 reflection recorded — N=1 here, named as coincidence-consistent, not a finding.
  • Invalidation clauses behaved. The standing stand-down clauses ("break and hold back below the SMA20 shelf with QQQ underperforming") were never met at any close in the period; no spurious stand-down fired. The pre-market cross-asset read was recorded and not priced into p_trade on any of the three plans (standing forecast-discipline rule since 09-24).
  • Forward risk: the next verified Tier-1 is CPI 2026-10-14, 8:30 AM ET — in both stacks' blackout set (a hard skip). Between now and then the desk is live; the live threads are the hawkish-minutes/rates backdrop, the contained-index-but-narrow-breadth divergence the 10-06 EOD flagged, and whether the flagged Window C continues to concentrate the desk's activity.

Per-Member Binding Gate Analysis

MNEME — binding gate this period: NONE. The KNN gate cleared on all three sessions (no near-miss row exists); the period carries no calibration signal. The live content is a WINDOW observation — Window C — not a threshold.
  • The gate did not bind, and I will not manufacture a bind. Fires: 10-05 window=C vote=73.3% max_sim=0.7208; 10-06 window=B vote=73.3% max_sim=0.6092; 10-07 window=C vote=73.3% max_sim=0.6731. The vote cleared by 11.3 points every time; similarity cleared by 0.11–0.22 every time. No threshold was grazed; there is no blocked=knn_gate row for MNEME in the period at all. The load-bearing answer to "regime or calibration?" is therefore neither a graze-shaped calibration nor a setup-absent regime — it is "the gate cleared and delivered its ordinary outcome distribution," and the near-miss data is empty.
  • Window C remains the stack's live thread — unchanged in direction, updated in count. After the 10-05 win (+$95.04) and the 10-07 loss (−$13.92), Window C is 5W/6L on 11 fires, sub-book PF ≈1.38. Its recent run is 1W/2L across 10-01 (stop), 10-05 (win), 10-07 (hard-flat loss). The 10-07 C fire cleared wide (vote 73.3%, sim 0.6731) and lost small at the hard flat — the same clear-and-lose shape the 10-01 reflection named. The standing open question to TEMPER is Window C's live character (why C, when it clears, gives back), not a change to the 62% vote floor or the 0.50 similarity gate. Watch only; nothing filed.
  • Thin-clear item — carried, no new instance. The four lowest Phase 3 clears remain 0.5447 (W), 0.5533 (L), 0.5553 (W), 0.5712 (W) → 3W/1L at N=4. Today's clears (0.7208, 0.6092, 0.6731) are not thin and add nothing to this item.
  • Similarity-bind item — carried, no new instance. MNEME's only recent similarity bind (09-29 B, 0.485 vs 0.50, a 0.015 graze) stays N=1 period / N=2 recent, below the desk's N≥3 bar. No new instance this period.
  • Forecast: 10-05 p_trade 0.40 (low) → traded → Brier 0.36, direction hit; 10-07 p_trade 0.45 (low) → traded → Brier 0.3025, direction hit. (10-06 unscored — no plan.) SPRT CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST, sticky, LLR +4.631 (n=30, WR 46.7%, +$1,018.48) — moved +5.171 → +4.901 → +4.631 across the three fires, nowhere near the ±2.944 boundaries.
  • Baseline monitor: MNEME baseline 54 tr / +$2,039.53 vs real +$1,018.48 → gap −$1,021.05. Named for October; the escalation test (two consecutive monthly checkpoints) is not met — nothing filed.

Verdict: NOT-BINDING / REGIME-NEUTRAL — the gate cleared all three sessions with wide margins, so there is no threshold in play and no near-miss data; the period delivers no calibration evidence. The one live thread is a WINDOW observation: Window C (5W/6L, PF ≈1.38) cleared wide twice in the period and split (one win, one small hard-flat loss into the FOMC minutes). No gate change; the 09-29 similarity graze and the N=4 thin-clear item are carried unchanged.

TRACE — binding gate this period: the similarity floor (max_sim ≥ 0.60), binding in TWO windows on 10-06 (B and C) with the vote cleared. The count is REGIME-leaning (wide misses, structural gap, not a marginal graze) but is named as an accumulating item for the October review — no tweak.
  • The near-miss row is unambiguous, and it is the period's only one. 10-06: blocked=knn_gate A:vote=40%/62% sim=0.902/0.6 B:vote=70%/62% sim=0.508/0.6 C:vote=80%/62% sim=0.517/0.6. The vote bound Window A structurally (40%, 22 points short). Windows B and C cleared the vote decisively (70%, 80%) but failed similarity at 0.508 and 0.517 vs the 0.60 floor — misses of 0.092 and 0.083. These are not marginal grazes.
  • Regime-leaning, stated with the count. Across the recent no-fire book, TRACE's vote-cleared similarity binds cluster around 0.47–0.52: 08-18 C 0.473, 09-23 B 0.519, 10-06 B 0.508, 10-06 C 0.517 — with one razor-thin exception (08-03 C 0.589, a 0.011 miss). The shape is "DIA's vote-cleared sessions often simply lack a close-enough neighbour (max_sim ~0.1 below the floor)," i.e. a structural gap in the pattern library on those sessions, not a threshold being repeatedly grazed at the margin. That reads REGIME. But the count of vote-cleared similarity binds is N=5 across the book, and the desk's N≥3 rule makes it worth naming — so it is carried as an accumulating item for the October Desk Review / a TEMPER conversation, explicitly not a change to max_sim ≥ 0.60, K=10, or the window structure. No unilateral tweak.
  • The DEGRADED clock moved for the first time in weeks, and gave most of it back. SPRT CONTINUE — n=16 (W3/L13), LLR −2.282, 0.662 from the −2.944 boundary. Path this period: −2.700 / 0.245 (at 10-02) → −1.929 / 1.016 on the 10-05 A win (the buffer's first material widening) → −2.282 / 0.662 on the 10-07 C loss. Boundary not crossed; the 09-18 desk-PM-review / TEMPER-within-5 protocol not re-triggered. The clock is explicitly not a sizing or gating input — standard 0.75% unchanged on both fires.
  • Window A's standing item gained a counter-instance, not a loss. Window A is now 3W/9L on 12 fires — the 10-05 A fire won (its first A win in weeks, +$349.86, vote 80% / sim 0.8872), so the item gained a wide-clearing A fire that WON, a counter-instance to the non-continuation story. No A fire on 10-06 (vote 40%) or 10-07 (no A fire). The standing proposal remains a session-character / cross-index-leadership filter for Window A — proposed to TEMPER, never executed, and never a change to the 9:30–10:00 window, K=10, or max_sim ≥ 0.60.
  • Window C — now 0-for-3 live. The 10-07 fire (vote 90.0%, sim 0.8051 — its widest recent vote clear) entered at the 14:00 minutes print and hard-flat lost −$43.80. Live C is 0W/3L on a 3-fire sample (09-09 −$12.78, 10-07 −$43.80, plus 08-27 stop at $0.00). N=3 is too small to call a character; it is recorded and folded into the Window-A-and-C session-character conversation, not acted on.
  • Forecast: 10-05 p_trade 0.35 (low) → traded → Brier 0.4225, direction hit; 10-07 p_trade 0.40 (low) → traded → Brier 0.36, direction hit. (10-06 unscored.) The one entry strike held again — the pre-market cross-asset read was recorded and not priced.
  • Baseline monitor: TRACE baseline 39 tr / +$1,601.94 (no 10-07 row — backfill gap) vs real −$82.17 → gap −$1,684.11, the largest single-stack component of the desk monitor. Named for October; escalation test not met — nothing filed.

Verdict: REGIME-LEANING, with a named count — the similarity floor bound on 10-06 in two windows (B 0.508, C 0.517 vs 0.60), misses of ~0.08–0.09, and the recent vote-cleared similarity binds cluster ~0.1 below the floor (structural gap, not a marginal graze). N=5 across the book makes it worth the October review, but the action is a named item and a TEMPER conversation, never a threshold change. The DEGRADED clock widened then narrowed (0.245 → 1.016 → 0.662), not crossed, protocol not re-triggered. Window A gained a winning counter-instance; Window C is 0-for-3 on a 3-fire sample, recorded not acted on.

Narrative finding — the desk's period was a profitable, base-rate three sessions whose whole P&L sits in one day, and whose content is two window observations, not two gate findings. The 10-05 double-win (+$445 combined) is the period; 10-06 and 10-07 were small (−$17.28, −$13.92, −$43.80) and were the flagged windows and a fast stop. Neither member had a threshold repeatedly grazed — MNEME's gate never bound (no near-miss row at all), and TRACE's similarity floor bound wide on 10-06 in two windows (B 0.508, C 0.517 vs 0.60), the period's only near-miss and a structural-gap shape, not a marginal graze. The two live threads are Window C (MNEME 5W/6L, PF ≈1.38, clear-and-lose into the minutes; TRACE 0W/3L on a 3-fire sample) and TRACE's DEGRADED clock (widened 0.245→1.016 on the A win, narrowed to 0.662 on the C loss, not crossed). The forecast layer under-printed the fire rate on the two scored days (0.35–0.45 forecast vs 4-of-4 realized) but that is N=4, descriptive only, and the forecast-evidence firewall forbids conditioning p_trade on it. The baseline gap, restated stack-by-stack per the 10-02 peer disposition, is ≈ −$2,705.16 — descriptive, named for October, nothing filed. Combined desk cumulative: 46 trades, +$936.31. No runner-health file for 10-07 (last: 10-06 CLEAR); the 10-07 backfill left a one-session hole in TRACE's baseline arm.

Regime Watch

data-infra/regime/current.json (read 2026-10-07, status: ok): as_of 2026-09-22 — SPY day flat (open-to-close −0.08%), above 50d, drawdown bucket <2% (−0.58%), VIX 14.21 LOW (<18). The file now lags the live tape by ten completed sessions (09-23 through 10-07 are not folded in) — lagging, not unavailable.

Live tape against it (10-07 close): VIX 15.08 LOW (<18), +0.07 from 15.01 — still 2.92 points inside the >18 trigger; and SPY closed 777.15 (−0.25% vs the 779.10 prior close; +0.18% open-to-close), +1.40% above its SMA20 (766.46) — the shelf is support again, not overhead. QQQ 757.74, comfortably above its SMA20 (733.75). Honest limitation, unchanged: the charter's shared tag is spy_vs_sma50, and the EOD price block carries SMA20, not SMA50 — so I name the SMA20 shelf as the closest available proxy and say so rather than asserting a 50-day reading I do not have.

Charter status: DRAFT — not ratified (desks/house-mneme/CLAUDE.md). The consistency verdict below is against draft text, not a ratified constraint. My persistence rule counts a shift persistent only when at least one risk-off tag — SPY below 50d / drawdown ≥2% / VIX >18 — holds 5 consecutive sessions. No risk-off tag is active. But I state the paper-review-corrected version plainly (the 2026-10-02 peer disposition adopted firm-wide): I cannot resolve five consecutive sessions from a feed that stops on 09-22, so persistence is INDETERMINATE — not passed, not clean. An unobserved regime state is unknown, not benign.

Draft-charter consistency: consistent on substance — today is a live, eligible session on the orderly, LOW-VIX side, and the desk behaved as the charter says. Item 1 is the side we are on ("orderly, trending-up or range-bound tape with LOW VIX"): SPY 0.83× ATR, QQQ sub-ATR, VIX 15.08 LOW; both members live and eligible; combined exposure across the period was five intraday longs, five exits, no short leg, no overnight, flat at every close. The one honest negative: even on the desk's "friendly" side, both Window C fires into the 10-07 minutes print gave back small — the flagged window delivering a small negative, the same clear-and-lose shape the 10-01 reflection named. Watch and report only — a persistent shift goes to Desk Review as a recalibration / sit-out / new-mechanism proposal; I never change posture on a regime signal myself.

Own charter monitor, named as required, and restated stack-by-stack (per the 10-02 peer disposition): MNEME baseline 54 tr / +$2,039.53 vs real +$1,018.48 → gap −$1,021.05; TRACE baseline 39 tr / +$1,601.94 (no 10-07 row — backfill gap) vs real −$82.17 → gap −$1,684.11; combined ≈ −$2,705.16. The pre-registered escalation requires each stack's baseline to match or exceed its own rolling PF at two consecutive monthly checkpoints; the September Desk Review (window through 09-05) did not escalate and this is not a second checkpoint — named for the October review, nothing filed. Gate-clear rate and the two rolling-PF windows (MNEME 15-trade ≈1.36; TRACE 20-trade) are quiet.

Open TEMPER Items (Carried Forward / New)

  • MNEME — Window C is the stack's live thread (carried; count updated). After a 10-05 win and a 10-07 hard-flat loss, C is 5W/6L on 11 fires, sub-book PF ≈1.38; recent run 1W/2L (10-01 stop, 10-05 win, 10-07 loss). The 10-07 fire cleared wide (vote 73.3%, sim 0.6731) and lost small at the hard flat into the 2:00 minutes. Open question remains C's live character (why it gives back when it clears), not a change to the 62% floor or the 0.50 similarity gate. Watch only; nothing filed.
  • MNEME — thin-similarity-clear item (carried; unchanged, no new instance). Four lowest Phase 3 clears stay 0.5447 (W), 0.5533 (L), 0.5553 (W), 0.5712 (W) → 3W/1L at N=4; the period's clears were all non-thin. Flat "lowest clears all won" stays dead.
  • MNEME — similarity bound (carried; N=1 period / N=2 recent, below bar). 09-29 B, 0.485 vs 0.50 (0.015 graze). No new instance this period; MNEME's gate did not bind at all this period, so nothing to add.
  • TRACE — the similarity floor binds wide and often (NEW / accumulating; N=5 vote-cleared binds, named for October). 10-06 bound B (0.508 vs 0.60) and C (0.517 vs 0.60) with the vote cleared; recent vote-cleared binds cluster 0.47–0.52 (08-18 C 0.473, 09-23 B 0.519, 10-06 B/C) vs one razor-thin 08-03 C 0.589. Regime-leaning structural gap, not a marginal graze. Named for the October Desk Review / a TEMPER conversation; never a change to max_sim ≥ 0.60, K=10, or the window structure. No unilateral tweak.
  • TRACE — DEGRADED clock, moved both ways (carried; not crossed). SPRT CONTINUE — n=16, LLR −2.282, 0.662 from the −2.944 boundary (10-05 A win widened it to 1.016; 10-07 C loss narrowed it). Boundary not crossed; the 09-18 desk-PM-review / TEMPER-within-5 protocol not re-triggered. Not a sizing or gating input.
  • TRACE — Window A session-character / cross-index-leadership filter (carried; gained a winning counter-instance). Window A 3W/9L on 12 fires; the 10-05 A fire won (+$349.86, vote 80% / sim 0.8872) — a counter-instance to the non-continuation story. Proposal framing unchanged: a session-character filter for Window A, never a change to the window, K=10, or max_sim ≥ 0.60.
  • TRACE — Window C live book 0-for-3 (NEW; N=3, recorded not acted on). 09-09 −$12.78, 08-27 $0.00 (same-bar), 10-07 −$43.80; the 10-07 fire carried the widest recent vote clear (90.0%, sim 0.8051) and lost small. Sample too small to call a character; folded into the window/session-character conversation.
  • Desk — always-long baseline gap (carried; restated stack-by-stack per the 10-02 peer disposition). MNEME gap −$1,021.05, TRACE gap −$1,684.11, combined ≈ −$2,705.16. Descriptive only; escalation needs two consecutive monthly checkpoints — not met — named for the October review, nothing filed. Caveat: TRACE's baseline arm has no 10-07 row (backfill gap), so the TRACE/combined figures are as-of 10-06 for the baseline side.
  • Desk — forecast-evidence firewall (carried; honored, N=4 descriptive only). The desk's two scored days printed 0.35–0.45 and realized 4-of-4 fires. Recorded as a descriptive under-forecast on a fire-rate feature — explicitly not used to condition p_trade or conviction (this is exactly the firewall's target: gate-clear streaks / fire-rate splits are descriptive only). No re-tune. The edge-candidate row (filed 2026-10-02) stands.
  • Desk — pipeline gaps (NEW, operational). 10-06 has no plan (auth outage) and is unscored; the 10-07 reflection is a backfill; run-trades 10-07 timed out (results backfilled); TRACE's runner was starved on 10-07 and hand-re-run (row treated as valid); TRACE's baseline arm is missing its 10-07 row; no runner-health-2026-10-07.md (last: 10-06 CLEAR). Operational, not strategy — named for the orchestrator.
  • Peer-review dispositions — 2026-10-02 (most recent) verified in force. (1) Baseline gap reported stack-by-stack on aligned checkpoints, not as a cumulative-dollar verdict (acted) — applied above. (2) Deterministic skips / gate-clear streaks are not forecast skill (acted) — applied: no conditioning on the 4-of-4 fire rate or the identical 73.3% vote. (3) The (b) forecast-evidence firewall edge-candidate was filed 2026-10-02 from the N=3 repeating-pattern check. Standing dispositions all hold: no per-stack p_trade spread; no VIX-as-tailwind/"best"; no N=1 validation; charter stated DRAFT — not ratified; stale regime feed named indeterminate.

Desk Summary for Orchestrator

House Mneme's 10-07 reflection (same-day-on-trade trigger; backfill covering the three sessions since the 10-02 reflection — Mon 10-05, Tue 10-06, Wed 10-07; 10-06 has no plan — auth outage — and is unscored) shows a profitable, base-rate period: desk net +$369.90 on 5 trades, combined cumulative 46 trades +$936.31, with almost all of it in the 10-05 double-win (MNEME C +$95.04, TRACE A +$349.86). MNEME (SPY): fired all three (C win +$95.04, B stop −$17.28, C hard-flat loss −$13.92); cumulative 30 tr / +$1,018.48 / WR 46.7%, SPRT CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST (LLR +4.631); binding gate = NONE — the gate cleared all three, no near-miss row exists, no calibration signal → Window C is the live thread (5W/6L on 11, PF ≈1.38, clear-and-lose into the minutes); forecasts 0.40→Brier 0.36 and 0.45→0.3025, both direction hits. TRACE (DIA): fired two (A win +$349.86 — first A win in weeks; C hard-flat loss −$43.80), no-fire 10-06; cumulative 16 tr / −$82.17 / WR 18.8%, SPRT CONTINUE (LLR −2.282, 0.662 from DEGRADED — widened to 1.016 on the A win, narrowed on the C loss, not crossed); binding gate = the similarity floor (max_sim ≥ 0.60) — bound B (0.508) and C (0.517) on 10-06 with the vote cleared → REGIME-LEANING (wide misses, cluster ~0.1 below the floor) but N=5, named for the October review, no tweak; forecasts 0.35→0.4225 and 0.40→0.36, both direction hits; TRACE's 10-07 row came from the orchestrator's manual re-run (starved runner) and is treated as valid. Session (10-07): ranging/mildly lower, sub-ATR — SPY 777.15 (−0.25%, 0.83× ATR), QQQ 757.74 (−0.25%), VIX 15.08 LOW; hawkish Sept FOMC minutes at 2:00 PM produced no sustained break; both stacks' C fires entered at the print and hard-flat lost small. Two co-fire days (10-05, 10-07) → 5 trades = 3 clustered observations. Baseline gap restated stack-by-stack (per the 10-02 peer disposition): ≈ −$2,705.16 (MNEME −$1,021.05; TRACE −$1,684.11, baseline arm missing its 10-07 row); named for October, nothing filed. No runner-health file for 10-07 (last: 10-06 CLEAR). Next Tier-1: CPI 10-14 (hard skip for both).

Reflection Filed

  • Filed: 2026-10-07 (post-close; backfill — same-day-on-trade trigger fired because both MNEME and TRACE traded 10-07; covers the three sessions Mon 10-05, Tue 10-06, Wed 10-07 since the 10-02 reflection)
  • Trades taken: 5 (MNEME ×3, TRACE ×2) — no gate amendment; MNEME v5 (K=15, max_sim ≥ 0.50, vote ≥ 62%) and TRACE v2 (K=10, max_sim ≥ 0.60, vote ≥ 62%) untouched and live
  • GHOST: frozen (Phase 2, Decision D2) — no reflection written
  • MNEME and TRACE per-member compatibility files written (agents/mneme/reflections/daily_2026-10-07.md, agents/trace/reflections/daily_2026-10-07.md)
  • Learnings flag (desk-scoped, own members only — not edited into learnings.md by this desk): House Mneme, 2026-10-05→07 — desk net +$369.90 on 5 trades (combined cumulative 46 tr / +$936.31), almost all in the 10-05 double-win. MNEME fired all three sessions at an identical 73.3% vote with no near-miss and no gate bind — the period carries no calibration signal from MNEME; Window C is 5W/6L (11), PF ≈1.38 and cleared wide twice into a win and a small hard-flat loss (the flagged window's clear-and-lose shape). TRACE: the similarity floor (max_sim ≥ 0.60) bound B (0.508) and C (0.517) on 10-06 with the vote cleared — wide, structural-gap misses (recent vote-cleared binds cluster ~0.1 below the floor, N=5), regime-leaning, named for October, no tweak; DEGRADED buffer moved 0.245 → 1.016 (10-05 A win) → 0.662 (10-07 C loss), not crossed; Window A gained a winning counter-instance (first A win in weeks). Baseline gap restated stack-by-stack ≈ −$2,705.16 (TRACE baseline arm missing its 10-07 row — backfill gap). Pipeline: 10-06 planless/unscored, reflection/run-trades backfilled, TRACE runner hand-re-run. No gate edits anywhere.
