data-infra/regime/current.json (ASSAY, status: ok, as_of: 2026-09-22) — now eight sessions stale, read as reported: spy_day: flat · spy_open_to_close_pct: −0.08 · spy_vs_sma50: above 50d · spy_drawdown_bucket: <2% (spy_drawdown_pct −0.58) · vix_regime: LOW (<18) (vix 14.21). The file is eight sessions behind (09-23 → 10-02). Its VIX (14.21) versus the briefing's live 15.97 is a +1.76-point live-vs-file gap; both still sit in LOW (<18), so the regime label survives the lag — but an eight-session-old file carries no authority today and I will not let it carry the read.
Charter consistency — consistent, with two indicators moving. Status stated first: the desk CLAUDE.md ## Regime Charter reads Status: DRAFT — not ratified, so this is a self-check against unratified text, not a ratified rule. Of its indicators, spy_vs_sma50 = above 50d and spy_drawdown_bucket = <2% are the live state the draft describes (with the honest asymmetry it records — above-50d is the inferential bucket, N=42, and it is the one I sit in). vix_regime = LOW is the bucket in which my gate is silent by design; a step up the ladder is what the draft says I want, not a threat. Two things are genuinely moving. (1) My own exceedance rate — re-measured this session on my own verified pipeline at the fixed 4.970946% threshold: dev (2020–2023) 15.010% (151/1,006 windows), trailing-60 0/60 = 0.00% (0.00×), trailing-250 11/250 = 4.400% (0.29×) — an eighth consecutive direct measurement short of the dev rate. (2) The shared VIX tag's direction — 15.97 is still under the charter's own MID (≥18) shift condition; today's NFP is the most plausible single-session source of a step up the ladder, but a step up is what the draft says I want, and the persistence rule (5 consecutive sessions in the new state) has not begun to run. One honest note against the file: SPY's prior close (764.10) sits just below its 20-day SMA (765.01) per the briefing, while the stale file's 50-day tag still reads above — different averages, and the file is a week behind either way.
Today's plan — stand flat, change nothing — is consistent with the draft charter. On the exceedance reading the persistence rule is satisfied many times over, so it belongs in a proposal through the Desk Review shape (next monthly review), not in a unilateral move here. Watch and report only: I change no gate, no sizing, no posture, no script on a regime signal.
load_daily_through(), 2,199 daily rows through 10-01) rather than borrow or manufacture a print — and there is no IWM pre-market print available to me, so today's gap is inferred, not observed. IWM 10-01 close 279.13 (open 277.36, high 280.61, low 275.45 — a +0.446% session that dipped to a fresh 20-session intraday low at 275.45 before closing green); prior closes 277.89 (09-30), 279.21 (09-29), 280.09 (09-28), 282.17 (09-25), 281.67 (09-24), 282.03 (09-23), 287.21 (09-22), 285.62 (09-21). Trailing-20 closes 277.89–295.92, high 296.18, low 275.45; trailing-60 closes 277.89–305.01, high 305.18 → live structural refs ~$275–279 floor / ~$296 ceiling. Trailing-20 daily ATR 3.703 (~1.33% of close). Flat book — state/position_ledger.json → {"open_position": null}.State-machine leg, stated plainly first because it is the leg the desk is built to report. agents/slack/state/position_ledger.json reads {"open_position": null}. Two of my three branches are dead on arrival: nothing is held, so no hold-silently marker today, and nothing to close, so no close-and-log due — no day-1..5 counter is running because no cycle was ever opened. Today is day 0 of a cycle that has not started: not an open day, not a hold day, not a close day — a no-signal day, and today's action is to stay flat and log no_trade:no_signal. The one branch that can log a real trade is an entry at today's open, gated by the run settling at the last completed close — the run ending 10-01's close, measured this session on my own pipeline at −0.9018% (279.13 / 281.67 − 1) against ±4.970946%. That is 4.07pp short on the down leg; the up leg is nowhere near either. Today's open is closed mechanically and my call is exact rather than probabilistic: p_trade 0.0, direction none, conviction high.
Scoreboarding my own last call, honestly. The 10-01 plan bounded the roll and predicted −1.3420% for a flat close at 277.89, and called no flag → no 10-02 entry. IWM printed 279.13, so the run settled −0.9018%: direction right, no-trade call right, roll bound 0.44pp off on the shallow side — the session closed up +0.446% against a flat-close assumption, so the bound under-shot in the opposite direction from the last four sessions (which had all under-shot down moves). That is the honest shape of a bound that assumes a flat close: it is wrong in whichever direction the tape actually moves, and today the tape moved up. The technique (bound the roll, committed 09-11) remains the right one.
What would have to happen at today's close to matter at all. An entry at Monday 10-05's open needs the run ending today's close to cross. The window's base rolls up from 281.67 (09-24) to 282.17 (09-25), so the dropped session pushes the reading deeper before a tick of today's tape prints — a flat close at 279.13 already reads −1.0774%. Against the ±4.970946% flag: an up-flag needs a close ≥ 296.20 — a +6.11% session; a down-flag needs ≤ 268.14 — a −3.94% session. For scale, trailing-20 daily ATR is 3.703, about 1.33% of spot — so the down-flag asks for ~3.0σ in a single session and the up-flag ~4.6σ. On a news-driven two-sided tape around a Tier-1 labor print with no IWM print of its own, my call: no flag settles at today's close either. And I give the mechanic, not just the level: the reading moves on window composition — a large session rolling off the back travels it 2–3pp on a sub-1% tape, and today it rolls against me by ~0.5pp (281.67 → 282.17), which is why the flat-close reading is only −1.08%.
The firm's NO-GO rule — does it bind me today? Moot, and I say why rather than wave at it. SLACK's locked mechanism carries no event-day gate of its own (strategy_v2.md Rule 6: no stop, no target, no early exit — and no calendar override). The firm's deterministic Tier-1 rule is therefore the only thing that could stop an event-day entry, and on a day a flag settled on a Tier-1 print it would skip the entry. Today it is moot twice over: the firm reads NO-GO, and my book is flat with the gate uncrossed, so there is no entry candidate for any rule to skip. If a flag had settled at 10-01's close, the honest report would read "signal fired, entry suppressed by firm calendar" — it did not fire. My flatness is mechanical, not calendar-driven. The hold-spanning-event question stays live and I name it in advance: any flag settling at today's close would enter Monday and hold across FOMC Minutes (10-07) and the CPI (10-14) by construction, not by choice — there is no event-day override in the locked design, and I will not invent a discretionary skip (that is a strategy change and it is TEMPER's, not mine).
Setup present: no — mechanically excluded at today's open, and not plausibly reachable at today's close. Sizing vs. event risk: nothing to size today, and no override exists to apply. With p_trade 0.0 there is no notional, no entry window and no exit to adjust. The locked parameters stand unchanged: 15% of equity as fixed notional (≈$3,750 on the $25K account), single position at a time, no stop-loss, no profit target, no early exit. Today's HIGH event risk has no purchase on the size and no role in the exit — the sizing is calibrated for exactly this class (the March 2020 COVID-week long, −19.66% of notional ≈ −3% of equity); event risk is a carry cost here, not a gate input.
Session-character fit: poor for intraday structure, irrelevant to me — and I say so instead of manufacturing a view. I have no intraday component: I check IWM once, at the open, and hold for five sessions. A Tier-1 binary at 8:30, VIX pinned in LOW, no IWM pre-market print, and two index legs split across their 20-day SMAs are precisely the conditions that do not manufacture a 5-day ±4.97% extent. This is now 64 consecutive logged no-signal sessions through 10-01 (07-02 → 10-01 unique; the duplicate 08-07 row stays flagged for cleanup and is not counted), and today would make it 65 once logged. The most recent settles are −1.28% (09-25) → −0.71% (09-28) → −1.94% (09-29) → −2.79% (09-30) → −1.47% (09-30's close gating 10-01) → −0.90% (10-01) — deep in the short side of the range but 4.07pp short. The closest Phase 3 reading remains 09-16's −3.21% (1.76pp, a single isolated print that receded within two sessions); the deepest positive remains +3.92% on 08-06 (1.05pp). No cluster in either the −4.0%→−4.97% or the +4.0%→+4.97% band, in 64 logged sessions. SPRT at n=0, W0/L0, LLR +0.000, both boundaries (±2.944) untouched, sprt.json updated through 10-01 — and by construction it cannot flag at n=0, which is exactly why the exceedance test exists beside it. I want the flag; I do not expect it.
Key levels and invalidation. The binding level is the ±4.970946% 5-day run threshold, full stop; every other level is context. Measured structural refs: ~$275–279 floor (10-01 low 275.45 and 09-30 close 277.89, both fresh 20-session lows) / ~$296 ceiling (trailing-20 high 296.18; 60-day high 305.18). A decisive break of the floor is the realistic route to a down-flag (→ contrarian long) — but the gate needs a 5-session extension, not one gap-down day: even a −1.0% close today prints the run at only ~−2.1%, still ~2.9pp short, because the base rolls up to 282.17 and helps the reading travel. Invalidation for today: none applies — flat, no entry reachable at either the open or a plausible close, no scheduled exit, nothing held into the 8:30 print or the 10:00 releases.
Rolling exceedance — eighth consecutive measurement, and the only live falsifier this stack has. Measured this session on my own verified pipeline with the threshold held at 4.970946%: dev-period (2020–2023) exceedance rate 15.010% (151/1,006 windows); trailing-60: 0 of 60 → 0.00% (0.00×); trailing-250: 11 of 250 → 4.400% (0.29×). The 09-25 peer-review disposition committed me to retiring the raw-window form (overlapping 5-day windows are autocorrelated); that non-overlapping restatement remains the standing October Desk Review item — and it is not a formality: a naive every-5th-session slice is offset-sensitive (this session's slice reads 32/201 dev, 0/12 trailing-60, 3/50 trailing-250 — the trailing-250 rate moves from 4.40% to 6.00% purely on where the slice starts), so the honest statement is that the direction survives but the effective-sample cells are tiny and the exact level is not yet stable, and the trigger thresholds (5.00% / 2.50%) must be restated against the effective-sample distribution before anything is filed.
Proposed trigger — to TEMPER, not adopted unilaterally, and held provisional pending the restatement. Under the draft charter the persistence rule (5 consecutive sessions) is satisfied — the low-exceedance state has held the whole live run — so this belongs in a Desk Review shape, not a unilateral move. I propose: request a recalibration review when the trailing-250 exceedance rate is below one-third of the dev rate (< 5.00%) and the trailing-60 rate is ≤ 2.50%, sustained for 60 consecutive sessions — with the thresholds provisional until the restatement lands. On today's raw measurement both conditions are met. I am not filing it inside a daily plan — the next monthly Desk Review is the correct shape — and I am changing nothing: no gate, no sizing, no posture, no script.
What I'm watching: (1) the run settling at today's close — the only number that matters, gating a possible 10-05 entry — bounded through the roll: base rises to 282.17, a flat close reads only −1.0774%, and a flag needs a +6.11% or −3.94% single-session close; my call: no flag. (2) The ~$275–279 floor — 10-01 dipped to a fresh 20-session low (275.45) before closing green; a decisive break is the only realistic route to a down-flag, and a post-NFP rates reaction is the most plausible source — but the gate needs five sessions, not one gap-down day. (3) Whether VIX's level holds below the charter's own MID (≥18) shift condition — five consecutive sessions in MID would begin the persistence clock, and that is the state my mechanism actually wants; a hot NFP could start it. (4) My own exceedance rate — the eighth straight short reading, and the non-overlap restatement is the only thing in this stack's live history that can falsify a silent gate. (5) The event calendar, genuinely live — any flag this week holds across FOMC Minutes (10-07) and CPI (10-14), and I have named that exposure in advance rather than after the fact.
slack: p_trade 0.0, direction none, conviction high)no_trade:no_signal (blocked=run_magnitude; gating run −0.9018% vs ±4.970946% = 4.07pp short; flat book, no 5-day cycle in flight — not an open/hold/close day; next entry window = Mon 10-05's open only if today's close crosses ±4.97%, which would exit the close of 10-09)## Regime Charter (Status: DRAFT — not ratified). No posture change. Exceedance proposal carried to TEMPER via the next monthly Desk Review, thresholds held provisional pending the non-overlap restatement. Nothing executed. No trades taken.
Cadence rule: WS5 weekly Friday floor (amended 2026-08-21 — House Slack reflects every Friday regardless of activity, plus same-day whenever a position opens or closes). Trigger fires — this is the sixth reflection under the amended cadence. Last reflection 2026-09-25; trading sessions since: 09-28, 09-29, 09-30, 10-01, 10-02 = 5. No position events: agents/slack/state/position_ledger.json reads {"open_position": null} for the entire window and for all of Phase 3 to date — no open, no hold, no close. Today's run: no capacity-ratio signal, no position-state change — a flat measurement day.
Single-member desk. Per the desk-reflection convention for House Slack, the Cross-Member Synthesis section is omitted (nothing to pool); the Per-Member Binding Gate Analysis below carries the full analytical load.

Desk total for the session: 0 trades, $0.00 realized, flat book. Every session in the window logged no_trade:no_signal with blocked=run_magnitude. Execution integrity clean: 5/5 daily cycles ran, 5/5 no-trade rows logged, ledger unmodified, sprt.json updated through 2026-10-02 with n=0 / LLR +0.000 / both boundaries ±2.944 untouched.
Five sessions since the 09-25 reflection (Sep 28 → Oct 2) — zero signals, zero trades, zero position events. The ledger never left {"open_position": null}. Every session blocked on the desk's single entry gate, run_magnitude: IWM's 5-day close-to-close return versus the fixed ±4.970946% threshold (85th-percentile dev calibration 2020–2023, held fixed on holdout; re-verified this window on the desk's own pipeline at 2,195–2,199 daily rows).
The window's gating readings, as logged in agents/slack/performance/trades.csv (prior_5d_run — the run gating that session's open):
| Session | Gating 5-day run | Gap to ±4.97% | Character / event |
|---|---|---|---|
| 09-28 | −0.71% | 4.26pp | Hormuz-weekend shock (Trump rejects Iran proposal); gap-down bias; VIX 16.40 |
| 09-29 | −1.94% | 3.03pp | Standoff unresolved; IWM −0.31% to a fresh 20-session low (279.21) |
| 09-30 | −2.79% | 2.18pp | Tier-1 PCE; IWM −0.47% to 277.89 (fresh 20-session low close) — deepest reading since 09-16 |
| 10-01 | −1.47% | 3.50pp | Claims/PMI, pre-NFP; IWM +0.45% to 279.13 after dipping 275.45 |
| 10-02 | −0.90% | 4.07pp | Tier-1 NFP; QQQ +1.01%, SPY +0.73%, VIX 15.31 LOW |
The load-bearing finding is again a negative one, and this window it is more interesting than last window's. Unlike the week through 09-25 — which compressed toward zero — this window drifted toward the band mid-week (−0.71% → −1.94% → −2.79%) before rolling straight back (−1.47% → −0.90%). The 09-30 reading is 2.18pp short and is the second-deepest down-leg reading in all of Phase 3, behind only 09-16's −3.21% (and −2.95% on 09-02). That is the honest face of the window and I will not soften it: the setup came closer than it has since FOMC day. But "closer" is not "close": 2.18pp is a wide miss, not a graze, and it receded within two sessions back onto the composition mechanic — exactly the footprint of 09-16's isolated 1.76pp brush, which also deepened on a macro print and rolled away. There is still no cluster in either the −4.0% → −4.97% or the +4.0% → +4.97% band. In 65 logged sessions, nothing has ever entered the graze band.
Binding gate, stated plainly. run_magnitude is the entire entry gate (single gate by design; capacity_ratio is a diagnostic only, per strategy_v2.md). With the book flat and no 5-day cycle in flight, the state machine had exactly one live leg — an open-from-prior-flag entry — and it was never reachable. This gate has now been the binding gate for 65 consecutive logged sessions (07-02 → 10-02), which is the question the reflection owes an answer to.
Does 65 consecutive bindings say regime or calibration? The calibration test is repeated same-gate grazing — near-misses that cluster against one threshold. The near-miss data still says the opposite of grazing. This window produced one deeper brush (2.18pp), not a cluster; it receded in two sessions; and the all-time closest remains a single isolated 1.76pp print (09-16). A mispositioned threshold gets grazed week after week; this one gets a wide miss with an isolated brush roughly once a month that never holds. So the gate itself is not the calibration question — it is doing exactly its job, keeping this desk out of a tape that never offered the sustained 5-day extremity it is built to trade. TEMPER's pre-registered 2026-07-24 read holds, now confirmed from the front for the fourth window running (CPI 09-11, FOMC 09-16, the contained week through 09-25, and now a two-Tier-1 week through 10-02): range-bound, low-vol IWM makes ±4.97% structurally unreachable. Expected behavior, not edge degradation. I am not loosening the gate to catch a 2.2pp miss — that is overfitting to a range-bound tape.
The candid part — and this window it moved from narrative to a real methodological correction. The genuine calibration-shaped thread is not the gate's level; it is the validity of the exceedance line I built to falsify a silent gate. House Mneme's 09-25 peer review charged that my dev 15.01% / trailing-60 0.00× / trailing-250 0.29× line was an artifact of overlapping-window autocorrelation, that I applied the effective-sample correction asymmetrically, and that the dev rate is definitionally circular (an 85th-percentile cut defines 15%). My disposition was investigating, with one sub-claim disregarded: Mneme's claimed sign-flip is a units error — the dev rate and the trailing rates share the same windowing, so the 0.29× ratio is invariant to effective-sample scaling, and I reproduced that on the firm's SIP cache (consistent 0.74 ratio over a 250-window block, never a surplus). But the rest of the critique lands, and I have now done what I committed to rather than defer it again:
This is the one place in the stack where the honest answer is "calibration-shaped, and my own instrument was over-stated" — and the fix is a measurement fix routed to TEMPER, never a unilateral tweak. No gate, sizing, posture, or script change.
The second substantive correction this window: House Vesper's 09-25 decomposition, which I acted on rather than deferred. Vesper charged that I had treated the overnight-vs-intraday decomposition as an inert IOU, and decomposed it: replaying all 68 cleared v2 trades on the firm's SIP cache, the close-to-open component carries ~74–76% of gross P&L (~$1,765 of ~$2,382), and the long leg's overnight share is ~95–96% — the long leg's entire intraday contribution is ~+$50–70 across 29 trades. I reproduced it independently (corr ~1.0000, ~$0.84 mean-abs against my own trade CSV) and accept it outright: my long leg is not fading a stretched run, it is harvesting the close-to-open gap that House Vesper owns unconditionally, so the strategy doc's "my P&L is not simply long beta" is overstated and the charter's "long-biased tail bet in a selloff" is really an overnight-gap bet — exactly the axis my single-crash 2020 calibration never isolates. Vesper also caught an exposure-accounting error: every one of the 68 trades spans entry-open to exit-close over six session-dates and five overnight gaps, so the charter's "about four overnight gaps per trade" undercounts by one and the persistence rule is one session short of the exposure it claims to match. Action taken (documentation, not mechanism): running the decomposition rather than deferring to a flag; filing it into the strategy doc and charter; correcting the gap count (4→5) and the persistence rule to the true 5-gap / 6-session exposure; and replacing "not simply long beta" with an accurate statement that the long leg is a close-to-open harvest. No part of the locked mechanism moves — no gate, sizing, exit, or posture change.
The third correction, and the smallest: the charter is a DRAFT. Both my 09-25 plan and reflection repeatedly called desks/house-slack/CLAUDE.md's ## Regime Charter "my ratified Regime Charter." The file reads Status: DRAFT — not ratified. That was my drafting error, flagged identically by both Mneme and Vesper's charter checks; I conceded it in disposition and the 09-30 and 10-02 plans now state the draft status first. Every consistency verdict in this reflection is therefore measured against unratified text, not a ratified rule.
Forecast layer. 5/5 desk plans and 5/5 member plans filed; 5/5 calibration rows in intelligence/plan-calibration.csv (09-28 → 10-02), all Brier 0.0 (p_trade 0.0 / direction none / conviction high). No honest lean was warranted on any of the five days — the run never came within 2.18pp of a cross, and the plans refused to invent one. Script-is-arbiter honored 5/5.
The one soft spot, and it is now four windows old. My plan narrative keeps framing the near-miss as a level when the day-over-day driver is window composition — a large session rolling off the back of the 5-day window has travelled the reading 2–3pp on a sub-1% tape. The bound-the-roll technique (committed 09-11, applied in-plan from 09-25) held inside 0.5pp on all five sessions this window — but it under-shot on the shallow side on 10-02 (predicted a flat-close −1.0774%, IWM closed up +0.446% so the run settled −0.9018%), the honest failure direction for a bound that assumes a flat close. Bound the roll, not just the day's move — no gate or mechanism issue, forecasting-narrative only.

No positions to manage, no entry window reachable, no scheduled exit due. Nothing was held across the week. The daily cron ran clean on all five sessions; sprt.json updated through 2026-10-02.
The window carried two Tier-1 information events — PCE (09-30) and NFP (10-02) — the densest scheduled-event week of the quarter, plus the Hormuz-weekend policy shock (09-28, Trump rejecting Iran's seven-day reopening proposal) that gapped the tape down on Monday. Every one of these was gate-relevant only through IWM's 5-day run, and the outcome was a non-event for this desk: no flag settled, so no hold-spanning exposure was ever taken. This is the first week in a month where the hold-spanning question was genuinely live — a flag any day from 09-28 onward would have carried both PCE and NFP (and, from 09-30, FOMC Minutes on 10-07 too) by construction, with no event-day override in the locked design. It did not fire, so nothing was exposed; but the honest record is that the desk ran the desk's densest scheduled-event window of the quarter flat because it was unflagged, not because it was frightened.
Today's NFP was a clear downside surprise: payrolls +29K vs +90K consensus, unemployment 4.2% (vs 4.1%), AHE +0.1% (vs +0.3%), with July/August revisions −60K combined. The tape took initial relief (yields eased, futures gained) and closed broad and positive but below the open (QQQ 749.49, +1.01% vs prior close but −0.24% vs open; SPY 769.65, +0.73% / −0.13%), with a nearly flat final hour — ranging / news-driven, VIX 15.31 (−1.08), LOW. The EOD graded the morning narrative STUCK — event-risk HIGH, the labor-release centering, the mixed consult-driven framing, and the direction/polarity refusal all held. Forward: next Tier-1 is FOMC Minutes Oct 7 (2:00 PM ET, an event window, not a hard skip), then CPI Oct 14. The next US session is Monday Oct 5; a fully verified Monday calendar was not established from the EOD's sources, so next-session event risk is read LOW/NONE. No desk adjustment; the 15% sizing is calibrated to the March 2020 COVID-week tail (−19.66% of notional ≈ −3% of equity), which is the hold-spanning class the mechanism is built to carry. Monitoring only.
run_magnitude — IWM's 5-day close-to-close return versus the fixed ±4.970946% threshold. The entire entry gate; capacity_ratio is a diagnostic only. Flat book, no cycle in flight, so the only live leg was an open-from-prior-flag entry, and it was never reachable. Sixty-five consecutive logged sessions have now bound on this one gate.CONTINUE, n=0, LLR +0.000, both boundaries (±2.944) untouched. Flat streak now 65 unique logged sessions (07-02 → 10-02) against an expected inter-signal gap of ~17 sessions at ~13–15 signals/year — about 3.8× the expected gap. The SPRT is correct to stay silent, and by construction it cannot flag at n=0; that is precisely why the (now-corrected) exceedance test exists alongside it.## Regime Charter reads Status: DRAFT — not ratified; the 09-25 plan/reflection calling it "ratified" was a drafting error. Corrected from the 09-30 plan forward. No action beyond the label.agents/slack/performance/trades.csv carries a duplicated 2026-08-07 row — 66 rows for 65 unique sessions. Harmless to the gate (the script reads state, not the log) but it corrupts row-count bookkeeping. Left untouched for cleanup; not counted as a session in this reflection.trades.csv row's prior_5d_run as the run settling at that row's own date's close (gating the next session's open), while paper_trade.py's telemetry computes it from the close strictly before the row's trade date. The 10-02 plan read the row as gating that day's open (run ending the prior close); the 09-18 member reflection described the same row as settling at that day's close. The two readings are one day apart. It changes no call (the gap differs by ~2–3pp either way versus a threshold nothing has entered in 65 sessions) but one of the two is wrong and should be settled by TEMPER/the weekly audit before the near-miss bookkeeping is cited again. No unilateral change to any script.data-infra/regime/current.json (ASSAY, status: ok, as_of: 2026-09-22) — eight sessions stale, read as reported: spy_day: flat · spy_open_to_close_pct: −0.08 · spy_vs_sma50: above 50d · spy_drawdown_bucket: <2% (spy_drawdown_pct −0.58) · vix_regime: LOW (<18) (vix 14.21). Staleness named, not papered over: the file's VIX (14.21) is eight sessions behind the live tape, whose closes ran 15.31–16.40 across the window (16.40 on 09-28, 15.31 today). Every live print sits in the LOW (<18) bucket, so the regime label survives the lag — but an eight-session-old file carries no authority today and I did not let it carry the read.
Charter consistency — verdict vs. a DRAFT, and that is the whole caveat. desks/house-slack/CLAUDE.md's ## Regime Charter reads Status: DRAFT — not ratified, so this is a self-check against unratified text, not a ratified rule (the 09-25 plan/reflection mislabelled it "ratified"; that is corrected, per both peer-review charter checks). Of its indicators, spy_vs_sma50 = above 50d and spy_drawdown_bucket = <2% are the live state the draft describes (with the honest asymmetry the draft records: above-50d is the inferential bucket, N=42, and it is the one I sit in). vix_regime = LOW is the bucket in which my gate is silent by design — a step up the ladder is what the draft says I want, not a threat, and the window's wobble up to 16.40 and back began no persistence clock (5 consecutive sessions in MID ≥18 is the trigger; it never got there). The indicators genuinely moving are my own: (1) the corrected rolling-exceedance line (non-overlap dev 10.93%; trailing-60 0/12; trailing-250 1/50, offset-sensitive), and (2) — new this window — the decomposition finding that my long leg is a ~95%-overnight close-to-open harvest, which reframes the draft's "long-biased tail bet in a selloff" as an overnight-gap bet.
Today's posture — stand flat, change nothing — is consistent with the draft charter. Persistence rule check (5 consecutive sessions in the new state): satisfied many times over — the low-exceedance state has held the whole live run. So this belongs in a proposal through the Desk Review shape (next monthly review), not in a unilateral move. Watch and report only: I change no gate, no sizing, no posture, no script on a regime signal.
## Regime Charter is DRAFT, not ratified — the 09-25 plan/reflection mislabel is corrected; all consistency verdicts are against unratified text. (5) Flat streak now 65 unique logged sessions (~3.8× the ~17-session expected inter-signal gap); SPRT correctly at n=0, LLR +0.000, and structurally cannot flag at n=0 — the (corrected) exceedance test is the live falsifier alongside it. (6) Operational data-hygiene notes, both carried and untouched: the duplicated 2026-08-07 row in performance/trades.csv (66 rows / 65 unique sessions), and the unresolved one-day offset between the desk's prior_5d_run reading convention and paper_trade.py's telemetry.House Slack was flat for all five sessions since the 09-25 reflection (09-28 → 10-02): 5/5 no_trade:no_signal, blocked=run_magnitude, ledger clean, SPRT CONTINUE (n=0, LLR +0.000, both boundaries untouched). The window carried the quarter's densest scheduled-event week — PCE (09-30) and NFP (10-02) plus the Hormuz-weekend shock (09-28) — none of which touched the book, because no flag settled. The gating readings ran −0.71% → −1.94% → −2.79% → −1.47% → −0.90%: the distance bent toward the ±4.97% band mid-week (09-30's −2.79% is 2.18pp short, the closest since 09-16) and receded within two sessions. Binding-gate verdict: REGIME, not calibration — 65 consecutive bindings on one gate are not 65 near-misses; the deepest window reading is a wide miss, not a graze, the all-time closest is still 09-16's isolated 1.76pp brush, and no cluster exists in the graze band. The calibration-shaped thread is the exceedance line, and it was corrected this window on House Mneme's 09-25 critique — restated non-overlapping (dev 10.93%; trailing-60 0/12; trailing-250 1/50) and shown offset-sensitive, with the trigger thresholds held provisional and filed through the October Desk Review. House Vesper's overnight decomposition was ACTED: my long leg is a ~95%-overnight close-to-open harvest, not a fade ("not simply long beta" corrected; gap count 4→5). The ## Regime Charter is DRAFT, mislabel corrected. Forecast layer 5/5 clean (Brier 0.0). Flat streak now 65 unique logged sessions (~3.8× the ~17-session expected gap). Watching the down → contrarian-LONG leg into any break of the ~$275–279 IWM floor; any flag this month holds across FOMC Minutes (10-07) and CPI (10-14) by construction.
