Briefing reference: /Users/dadbot/Desktop/ClaudeBod/projects/dadbrain/Analysis/briefings/2026-10-01-pm.md PM: VESPER — the evening star, the first light after the close.
Read data-infra/regime/current.json (ASSAY), status: ok, as_of 2026-09-22 — now six completed sessions behind today (09-23, 09-24, 09-25, 09-28, 09-29 and 09-30 have not rolled in; the file has not advanced since the 09-23 refresh). Treated as available-with-lag and flagged, not substituted for. Values: spy_day flat (spy_open_to_close_pct −0.08), spy_drawdown_bucket <2% (spy_drawdown_pct −0.58), spy_vs_sma50 above 50d, vix 14.21, vix_regime LOW (<18).
spy_drawdown_bucket <2%, vix_regime LOW, spy_vs_sma50 above — unchanged from the last read. The live tape agrees (briefing): SPY prior close 762.34, VIX 16.25 (LOW <18). (I cannot compute the live drawdown % myself: data/market_data/SPY_daily_sip.parquet ends 2024-12-31, so the file's <2% is cited as-is with its lag and the live proxy is SPY-vs-SMA20 plus the EOD's ATH distance.) One live note, stated without over-reading it: SPY closed 762.34, below its 20-day SMA (765.06) — a 20-day touch, not the charter's spy_vs_sma50 (50-day) tag, and it does not move a charter indicator; desk-record only.## Regime Charter: consistent. The charter's own persistence rule — drawdown bucket 5-10% or worse, or non-LOW VIX, for five consecutive sessions — stands at 0 of 5; today is nothing of 5 (VIX 16.25 is LOW). The <2% bucket is the one in which the cleared backtest's overnight premium was +3.00 net bps (N=715). Nothing here proposes a recalibration, a sit-out or a new mechanism.DRAFT — not ratified (desks/house-vesper/CLAUDE.md). I am held to its drafted terms, not a ratified constraint, and no regime signal changes posture here by itself. Today's plan tracks drafted clauses 2 and 5 exactly: I hold through, and I watch and report only.backtest_2026-07-12_daily.csv, N=1,759): worst historical overnight gap = 2020-03-13 → 2020-03-16, gross −1,102.97 bps, which at 0.90 notional is −9.93% of equity in one night; next worst −700.44 (2020-03-06→09), −649.69 (2020-03-11→12), −532.39 (2020-03-17→18), −410.50 (2024-08-02→05). The 90% size remains a default, not a figure derived from that tail — flagged for TEMPER/ZEUS, unchanged today.Forecast: p_trade 1.0, direction long, conviction med.
Cycle state — the load-bearing detail: this morning resolves a claims-carrying one-nighter, and tonight opens the NFP-carrying leg. Cycle 55 — the Wednesday 2026-09-30 16:00 entry at the auction-inclusive anchor 763.09 (30.1082 shares, $22,975.25 notional, 90.0% of $25,528.06 equity) — exits at today's 09:31 bar open, and today's 8:30 ET Initial Jobless Claims print falls inside that window (8:30 < 09:31), so the position is live through it. That is a real long trade booked today, which is why p_trade is 1.0 and not a judgment call. Then at 15:50 ET I submit the MOC buy for cycle 56 at today's 16:00 auction-inclusive close, 90% of post-exit equity, held into Fri 2026-10-02 09:31 — and tomorrow's NFP (Fri 08:30 ET) falls inside that window (08:30 < 09:31 exit). This is the leg the event-risk note below is about.
The NFP assignment, stated precisely so it cannot drift to the wrong cycle. Cycle 55 carries today's 8:30 claims (MEDIUM, not Tier-1) — the desk's ordinary one-nighter. Cycle 56's window (Thu 16:00 → Fri 09:31) carries NFP — the first Tier-1 inside a VESPER hold since cycle 54 carried PCE on 09-29/09-30, and the mirror image of cycle 55 (which the 09-30 plan correctly named as macro-silent). The desk's definitional test — a populated night is one whose window contains a scheduled Tier-1 — places cycle 56 firmly on the populated side.
The NFP adjustment, stated precisely. Cycle 56 carries NFP, and the adjustment is none — the deliberate call, not an omission. VESPER has no signal gate, no event filter and no skip logic; the overnight hold is taken every session, and the cleared Phase-2 sample held every FOMC, CPI, NFP, PCE, expiry, rebalance and weekend night by construction (strategy_v2.md §Entry Rules 5 — an event-calendar skip was considered and rejected). Conditioning an NFP night — skipping it, shortening it, or sizing it down — would have to first beat the unconditional baseline in a WS9 Bench study without destroying the ~250 obs/yr validation velocity, and none exists. So cycle 56 is taken at standard 90%, exactly like every other night, and the NFP carry is owned rather than dodged: a scheduled binary carried overnight is precisely the tail the overnight premium is paid to cover. The firm-wide status is GO today regardless; the desk would take the hold the same way under a NO-GO, since no calendar rule binds an unconditional stack.
On conviction — med — stated so it cannot be misread as a skip or a de-risk. p_trade is 1.0 by construction on both legs (the hold is unconditional), so conviction is not a probability of trading and not permission to size down: it is the honest ex-ante discount on the width of tonight's two-sided tail. med is the populated-night convention this desk has used every time the hold window contained a scheduled catalyst — 09-11, 09-14/15/16 (CPI carry and FOMC sequence), 09-22, 09-23, 09-24, 09-25 and, most recently, 09-29 (PCE carry) — and cycle 56 qualifies on the clearest version of that test: a Tier-1 (NFP) falls inside the hold window. Every macro-silent night has been high (09-30, for cycle 55); tonight is not one — the Tier-1 has moved from outside the window (09-30) back inside it. A 16.25 VIX and an NFP-trained tail are what a wider tail looks like — a wider tail is what the premium is paid for, not something to hedge by fiat. med is not permission to trim — 90% is the cap, always, no leverage ever.
Cycle 55's resolution belongs to this morning and is an ordinary draw, read against the pooled mean — not a Tier-1 night. It carries the 8:30 claims print and nothing scheduled above MEDIUM; the other prints (Fed speakers, PMIs, construction spending) land after the 09:31 exit and cannot touch me. My mean over 54 completed cycles is +4.4005 net bps/day (SD 47.29, vs the 3.151 replication anchor) with a realized net range of −122.77 to +114.89 bps and a win rate of 57.4% (31/54) — not my benchmark, by design. Last cycle: 54 (Tue 09-29 16:00 entry 764.80 → Wed 09-30 09:31 exit 766.50) +$50.97 gross / +$48.68 net (+22.2280 / +21.2280 bps), a WIN — the PCE-carrying leg resolving positive, the 20th-best of 54 cycles. One draw, logged, not a finding.
Monitors check (direct run — agents/vesper/mechanism_watch.py, live for this plan, 2026-10-01):
==> OK: premium intact. No DEGRADED flag, nothing appended to monitor-flags.md, no TEMPER review. Windows are numerically where the 09-30 reflection left them (cycle 55's exit rolls in at today's 16:30 ET refresh). Stated so the read is not over-read: these are window rolls as much as readings — cycle 54's winning night raised both windows (t250 +6.094 → +6.332, t500 +3.822 → +3.893) — and +6.332 is not \"the premium\": the honest expectation is reversion toward ~4 bps/day, and either window could fall back toward it without the mechanism being impaired. The floor sits roughly an order of magnitude below.flagged: []). Simulation only — fills price at the anchors, so shortfall ≡ 0; decision-relevant only against real broker fills. Cycle 55's exit rolls in at today's 16:30.paper_trade.py L221 charges COST_BPS/1e4 × notional, COST_BPS = 1.0), roundtrip_shortfall_bps ≡ 0.0000. No realized-cost failure to fix — and no independent cost evidence in simulation. Item already landed in learnings.md (2026-09-24); not re-filed.intelligence/plan-calibration.csv, every row p_trade 1.0 / long); today is the 51st. Per the 2026-09-23 peer review (House Slack and Reversal, independently), that perfect Brier is vacuous for an unconditional stack — p_trade is 1.0 by construction, so the desk cannot miss. It is not cited here as evidence of calibration or skill. The scored-session count is the only information in it.Runner check (starvation watch — done, and clear). agents/vesper/performance/daily_2026-09-30.md is present, and intelligence/runner-health-2026-09-30.md lists vesper: completed / daily artifact present / ok (verdict CLEAR; all ten stacks ok) — so the 300s-budget starvation pattern has NOT recurred. Both 09-30 rows in trades.csv reconcile to the ledger to the cent (cycle 54 exit at 09:31:00 on 766.50; cycle 55 position-open at 763.09 / $22,975.25, matching state/position_ledger.json's open row and its equity_at_entry $25,528.06). Today's run-trades has not yet fired (~13:30 PT; no runner-health-2026-10-01.md exists yet) — expected.
Continuity note for the desk record: 54 completed cycles, cumulative net +$528.06 (gross +$651.14, commissions $123.07), mean +4.4005 net bps/day, WR 57.4% (31/54) — not my benchmark. Last six cycle nets (net bps): −49.14, +12.82, −49.74, +5.79, +21.23 — and the six before that +55.54, +10.12. Cycle 55 exits 09:31 ET this morning (entry 763.09); cycle 56 enters tonight at standard 90% into the NFP-carrying one-nighter (exit Fri 10-02 09:31). The 08-07 dispatch hole and the 09-02 reflection gap remain the only record gaps.
Invalidation: None structural. An unconditional strategy has no invalidation condition by design. The kill discipline is the mechanism watch on market data (trailing-250 and trailing-500 < 0.655 bps/day gross → TEMPER review), checked daily, not resolvable intra-session, and not conditional on NFP, the Fed, the long end, oil or the gap. Tonight's cycle 56 has no skip trigger by design (rules 4 & 5) — it carries today's close through the NFP release regardless. If the 09:31 open gaps against cycle 55, I take and log it; that is the price of the premium. A 2022-regime drawdown (≈ −11.4% on equity at 0.9 notional) is within tolerance and is not a kill signal; the −26.5% COVID drawdown (2020-02-12 → 2020-03-23, 8-month recovery) is inside the validated sample; the worst single night in that sample cost −9.93% of equity at today's 90% (a Fri→Mon hold). The only stand-downs are force-majeure (closing-auction failure, account/regulatory constraint, exchange halt) — none indicated.
What I am watching: (1) Cycle 55's 09:31 exit print vs entry 763.09 — an ordinary one-nighter carrying only the 8:30 claims print; either branch is one observation. (2) Tonight's 16:00 auction print for cycle 56 — the anchor itself; entered at standard 90% of post-exit equity unconditionally. The only mechanical risk is a failed or erratic closing auction — a force-majeure stand-down class, not the price. (3) The mechanism watch — trailing-250 +6.332 / trailing-500 +3.893 vs 0.655, the only number that can ever stop this desk, against a standing expectation of reversion toward ~4. (4) The Tier-1 clock — named so the release is assigned to the correct cycle: today's claims (08:30 ET) are inside cycle 55's window (exits today 09:31); NFP (Fri 10-02 08:30 ET) is inside cycle 56's window (exits Fri 09:31). After 09:31, flat and idle until 15:50 — doing exactly nothing, which is the discipline.

Plan reference: desks/house-vesper/plans/2026-10-01-plan.md EOD briefing: dadbrain/Analysis/briefings/2026-10-01-eod.md PM: VESPER — the evening star, the first light after the close.
One desk, one member, one unconditional overnight stack. Single-session window since the 09-30 filing — a two-leg day again: the claims-carrying leg resolved, and the NFP-carrying leg opened.
Cycle 55 — the Wed 2026-09-30 16:00 entry — exited this morning and resolved as a WIN. Entered at the auction-inclusive anchor 763.09 (30.1082 shares, $22,975.25 notional, 90.0% of $25,528.06 equity), exited at today's 09:31 bar open print 763.99: gross +$27.10 (+11.7942 gross bps), commission $2.30, net +$24.80 (+10.7942 net bps). It is the 24th-best of the 55 completed cycles — a middling positive draw, not a headline. It carried today's 8:30 ET Initial Jobless Claims print (MEDIUM, not Tier-1) inside its window.
The tape, read against the window I actually held. Claims printed 197K vs 200K expected — slightly below consensus, a mild labor-cooling read the day before NFP — and the session was the ranging/choppy, two-sided, late-fading tape the plan expected. SPY opened 764.34, ranged 758.82–765.63, closed 764.10 (+0.23% vs prior 762.34); QQQ closed 742.02 (+0.34%); VIX 16.39 (+0.05), still LOW (<18). The overnight move that paid me was the close-to-open leg: 763.09 → 763.99 = +11.79 bps — the premium doing exactly what it is designed to do, taken by the clock and nothing else. My exit at 09:31 printed 763.99, marginally below the day's open (764.34) and below the eventual consolidated close (764.10) — a small negative on the temporal-exit comparison (−1.44 bps, print-below-close), the first below-close print in four nights. That is a draw, not a signal.
Cycle 56 then opened at tonight's 16:00 anchor — the NFP-carrying one-nighter. Entry 764.27 at the 16:00 auction-inclusive SIP print, 30.0909 shares, $22,997.57 notional (90.0% of post-exit equity $25,552.86), held into Fri 2026-10-02 09:31. An ordinary Thu→Fri leg — and tomorrow's BLS September Employment Situation (NFP) at 08:30 ET falls inside its window (08:30 < 09:31 exit). This is the first Tier-1 inside a VESPER hold since cycle 54 carried PCE on 09-29/09-30, and the mirror image of cycle 55 (which the 09-30 plan correctly named as macro-silent). Taken at standard 90%, unconditionally — the adjustment is none: no event skip, no conditioned sizing, no de-risk.
Anchor coherence, filed so it is not re-derived as a discrepancy: tonight's 16:00 auction-inclusive print (764.27) sits +2.23 bps ABOVE the EOD's consolidated SPY close (764.10) — the same positive-sign class as 09-25 (+0.648), 09-28 (+1.176) and 09-30 (+9.84). That is the designed anchor (P27): the auction-inclusive 16:00 SIP bar is what I trade, not the reported consolidated close. The auction printed clean; the only stand-down class (a failed or erratic closing auction) did not occur.
Continuity for the desk record: 55 completed cycles, cumulative net +$552.86 (gross +$678.24, commissions $125.37), mean +4.5167 net bps/day vs the 3.151 replication anchor (SD 46.43), win rate 58.2% (32/55) — not my benchmark, by design. Cycle 55's +10.79 net bps pulled the realized mean up from +4.4005 (n=54) to +4.5167 (n=55); the realized net range stays −122.77 to +114.89 bps. Plan calibration: the 10-01 row is scored clean (plan-calibration.csv: 2026-10-01,house-vesper,vesper,1.0,long,med,1,1,long,1,0.0 — p_trade 1.0 → traded 1, direction long → long hit, Brier 0.0), the 51st scored session. Per the 2026-09-23 peer-review disposition this Brier is vacuous for an unconditional stack and is not cited as evidence of calibration. The 09-02 reflection gap and the 08-07 dispatch hole remain the only record gaps.
No gate bound this period — for the same structural reason as every prior reflection: an unconditional stack has no setup gate to bind and no threshold to graze. The blocked= near-miss notes are empty by construction, always; p_trade is 1.0 by design on both legs. Read on the question's own terms, this is regime, not calibration: there is no repeated near-miss against one threshold — nothing to take to TEMPER, no gate misbehavior. Cycle 55's +10.79 net bps is an ordinary two-sided draw on the winning side, taken identically to the way the −49.74 and +5.79 nights before it were taken — one trade, standard 90%, no skip, no de-risk of a claims-carrying leg.
What this period actually resolved is the second leg of the desk's scheduled-catalyst sequence — and the honest read is that it is one observation. Cycle 55 carried Initial Jobless Claims (8:30 < 09:31 exit); the plan named it to the correct cycle, pre-registered, no skip and no de-risk. It resolved positive (+10.79 net bps). That is not evidence that "a macro print inside a hold is safe" — any more than Monday's loss was evidence it is dangerous, or than cycle 54's PCE-carrying +21.23 was. It is logged now so the outcome is read against a pre-registered expectation rather than re-derived after the fact. And cycle 56 raises the same question at full strength: NFP — a Tier-1, the widest scheduled tail this desk has carried since cycle 54 — sits inside tonight's hold, and the desk takes it at the standard 90%. The mechanism's own claim is that the overnight premium is paid to cover exactly this kind of scheduled-binary tail; one benign resolution neither confirms nor refutes that, and neither will tomorrow's.
==> OK: premium intact. No DEGRADED flag, nothing appended to monitor-flags.md, no TEMPER review. Cycle 55's winning night produced a MIXED roll: trailing-250 FELL (+6.332 → +6.291), trailing-500 ROSE (+3.893 → +3.933), full-sample rose (+4.072 → +4.075). That is the cleanest possible illustration of the standing point — the trailing windows are window rolls as much as readings, so no single night, win or loss, is evidence about the mechanism in either direction. The honest expectation remains reversion toward ~4 (full-sample +4.075), and the floor sits roughly an order of magnitude below.roundtrip_shortfall_bps = 0.0000. Stated in the honest form already landed in learnings.md (2026-09-24): the check is arithmetically fixed at ≈1.0 bps by the simulator, not measured (agents/vesper/paper_trade.py L221 charges COST_BPS/1e4 × notional, COST_BPS = 1.0) — in simulation the realized-cost distance cannot bind. No realized-cost failure to fix; no independent cost evidence either. Not re-filed: a closed item. Were the pre-registered kill/watch distances right for the session? Yes — and once more the temporal distance is the only one that printed a directional value at all. The plan pre-registered exactly two distances (the realized-cost budget and the mechanism-watch kill floor) and deliberately pre-registered no price-based watch. The kill distance was never within ~6× of binding; the cost distance printed at its line for the structural reason above. The distance that actually decided the night was again 09:31 versus 16:00 — the 09:31 exit print (763.99) sat −1.44 bps BELOW the eventual consolidated close (764.10), the first below-close print in four nights. Over seven nights the record now reads four-above / three-below (09-23 +59.6, 09-24 −43.7, 09-25 −41.5, 09-28 +28.09, 09-29 +22.50, 09-30 +54.57, 10-01 −1.44 bps, sign = print-above-close) — a two-sided record, not a trend, and no strategy implication (rules 4 & 5 untouched; any conditional-exit proposal would have to beat the unconditional baseline in a Bench study first).
Read data-infra/regime/current.json (ASSAY), status: ok; as_of 2026-09-22 — now seven completed sessions behind today (09-23, 09-24, 09-25, 09-28, 09-29, 09-30 and 10-01 not yet rolled in); treated as available-with-lag and flagged, not substituted for. Values: spy_day flat (spy_open_to_close_pct −0.08), spy_drawdown_bucket <2% (spy_drawdown_pct −0.58), spy_vs_sma50 above 50d, vix 14.21, vix_regime LOW (<18). None of the three charter indicators (spy_drawdown_bucket, vix_regime, spy_vs_sma50) is moving state. The live tape is broadly consistent: VIX 16.39, LOW; no drawdown near 5% anywhere on the board. One live note worth stating without over-reading it: SPY closed 764.10, below its 20-day SMA (765.01) — a 20-day touch, not the charter's spy_vs_sma50 (50-day) tag, and it does not move a charter indicator; desk-record only. The charter's persistence rule — 5-10%-or-worse bucket, or non-LOW VIX, for five consecutive sessions — stands at 0 of 5. The <2% bucket is the one in which the cleared backtest's overnight premium was +3.00 net bps (N=715). Charter status: DRAFT — not ratified (desks/house-vesper/CLAUDE.md) — I am held to its drafted terms, not a ratified constraint. Today's plan was consistent with it: I closed the claims-carrying leg and opened the NFP-carrying leg, both unconditionally at standard 90%, exactly clause 2 of the drafted charter ("I hold through it. There is no signal, filter, stop or sit-out"). Watch and report only, nothing here changes posture.
| Dimension | Rating (1–5) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Event risk call | 5 | HIGH held, and the composition was exact. The plan rated today's own calendar MEDIUM-or-lower (Claims 8:30, Fed speakers 9:05, PMIs 9:45/10:00, Construction 10:00, NKE after close) and correctly assigned the HIGH rating to tomorrow's NFP (Fri 10-02 08:30 ET) as the Tier-1 inside cycle 56's window — not cycle 55's. All of it landed as scheduled: claims 197K vs 200K (slightly below), ISM 54.5 vs ~55.0 with prices-paid jumping to 77.9, NKE EPS beat / revenue miss after the close. One honest caveat stated, not buried: the event risk resolved benignly for the one leg I held — a single draw's outcome, not a vindication of the rating's direction, which the plan deliberately did not pre-assign |
| Session character call | 5 | My character read — "mixed / news-driven, two-sided around the 8:30–10:00 data sequence", contained rather than a one-way trend — held precisely: SPY opened 764.34, ranged a 758.82–765.63 band (0.98× ATR), and closed 764.10 (+0.23%) after a small late fade (−0.05% in the final hour); QQQ +0.34% to 742.02. The EOD's own narrative grade came back STUCK (structure and named risks held). My only character surface is the overnight leg, and cycle 55's window resolved positive |
| Setup prediction | 5 | Unconditional — the only forecast is exit/entry placement, and both landed exactly where pre-registered: cycle 55 exited the 09:31 bar open at 763.99, and cycle 56 entered 764.27 at the 16:00 auction-inclusive close at standard 90% size ($22,997.57 notional / 30.0909 shares, 90.0% of $25,552.86 post-exit equity), held into Fri 2026-10-02 09:31 — no event skip, no conditioned sizing, no de-risk |
| Adjustments | 5 | None made — 90% notional, 16:00 auction-inclusive anchor, 09:31 exit, all standard. Eleventh consecutive session of the same discipline with no drift: −49.14, +12.82, −49.74, +5.79, +21.23, +10.79 net bps (last six) — no de-risk of a Tier-1 (NFP) inside the hold, no re-size "after a win," no relief-sizing, and no conditioning on the claims print or the firm-wide Scanner GO. Cost realized 1.0000 bps — at the ≤ 1.0 bps/day budget line by construction (the 09-24 finding, already landed), roundtrip_shortfall_bps = 0.0. No stand-down condition indicated |
Overall plan accuracy: 5.0 / 5. Machine-scored: the 10-01 plan forecast p_trade 1.0 / long / med; cycle 55's exit booked a real long trade today (traded = 1), direction long → long hit — Brier 0.0, extending the perfect scored run to 51 sessions. The scoring subtlety, restated: "direction hit" means the booked trade was long, as forecast — the score does NOT care that the long won $24.80, any more than it cared that the 09-28 long lost $114.52. Calibration captures setup-firing fidelity, trivially perfect for an unconditional stack by design, and the med was the honest ex-ante width of a populated window (cycle 56 carries NFP) — not a skip, not a size-up, and it changed nothing about the order.
backtest-agent/learnings.md before filing, per standing instruction. The candidate items were all examined: (1) the realized-cost check is arithmetic in simulation item is already landed (learnings.md 2026-09-24) — today's 1.0000 bps is the same number for the same structural reason; (2) the mechanism-watch silent-cache-fallback item stays RESOLVED (2026-09-04) — today's direct run returns a live as-of-today read (n=2,196, last exit 2026-10-01); (3) the EOD-generator mechanism-watch line item is unchanged — the standing convention (the direct daily run governs; if the generator asserts a mechanism-watch status for this desk, treat it as unreliable until a correctly-populated line is observed) is not re-litigated here. No new learnings.md item this period.performance/daily_2026-10-01.md again opens "No trade taken today" / Session P&L $0.00 even though its own cumulative line (n=55, +$552.86 net, WR 58.2%) correctly carries cycle 55's realized +$24.80 and reconciles to the ledger to the cent. On an exit day the exit leg books a real trade at 09:31 and cycle 56's position-open is a separate no_trade:position_opened row; the generator reads the open row, not the exit. Unchanged generator convention, not a new gap — the trades.csv row is the record. Also unchanged and not a data error: the perf log's SPY daily return prints N/A.intelligence/runner-health-2026-10-01.md verdict CLEAR, vesper completed with today's artifact present (ok), all ten stacks ok. Both trades.csv rows reconcile to the ledger exactly (cycle 55 exit at 09:31:00 on 763.99; cycle 56 position-open at 764.27 / $22,997.57, matching state/position_ledger.json's open row and its equity_at_entry $25,552.86). Mechanism watch (GREEN, ~9.6× / 6.0× floor, n=2,196), execution-cost SPRT (CONSISTENT, n=55) and edge SPRT (CONTINUE, n=55) all ran clean.roundtrip_shortfall_bps = 0.0. The overnight leg (763.09 → 763.99 = +11.79 bps) paid; the tape was ranging/choppy: claims 197K vs 200K, SPY opened 764.34, ranged 758.82–765.63, closed 764.10 (+0.23%); QQQ +0.34% to 742.02; VIX 16.39 (LOW) — and my 09:31 exit printed 763.99, −1.44 bps below the close (the first below-close print in four nights), extending the seven-night record to four-above / three-below. Cycle 56 entered tonight at 764.27 ($22,997.57 notional / 30.0909 sh, 90.0% of $25,552.86 equity) — a Thu→Fri one-nighter carrying NFP (Fri 10-02 08:30 ET) inside its window, the first Tier-1 inside a hold since cycle 54's PCE; taken at standard 90%, adjustment none. Tonight's 16:00 auction print sat +2.23 bps above the consolidated close (the designed anchor, P27). Monitors: realized-cost 1.0000 bps, at the ≤ 1.0 bps budget line by construction — no realized-cost failure to fix; no independent cost evidence in simulation; execution-cost SPRT CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST (n=55, LLR +20.625); edge SPRT CONTINUE (formal-only, not evidence of edge); mechanism watch GREEN — trailing-250 +6.291 / −500 +3.933 vs the 0.655 floor (n=2,196 pairs, last exit 2026-10-01; ~9.6× / ~6.0× above), full-sample +4.075 — a winning night produced a MIXED roll (t250 down, t500 up). Cumulative +$552.86 net over 55 cycles, mean +4.5167 net bps/day (SD 46.43), WR 58.2% (32/55). Plan scored clean: p_trade 1.0 → traded 1, direction long → hit, Brier 0.0 (51st session; vacuous by construction, not cited as calibration).learnings.md this period.
