Desk Plan — House Mneme — 2026-10-01

Briefing reference: /Users/dadbot/Desktop/ClaudeBod/projects/dadbrain/Analysis/briefings/2026-10-01-pm.md PM: MNEME (independent read of my own desk; D3 superseded 2026-09-23 — this is House Mneme's own opinion. GHOST stays frozen, no plan)

Regime Watch

data-infra/regime/current.json (read 2026-10-01, status: ok): as_of 2026-09-22 — SPY day flat (open-to-close −0.08%), above 50d, drawdown bucket <2% (−0.58%), VIX 14.21 LOW (<18). The file now lags the live tape by seven sessions (09-23, 09-24, 09-25, 09-28, 09-29, 09-30 and today are not folded in). Not unavailable — the tags it carries still have the same shape as the live tape — but named honestly as seven sessions behind.

Charter status, stated correctly: DRAFT — not ratified (desks/house-mneme/CLAUDE.md). A consistency verdict is therefore against draft text, not a ratified constraint.

Draft-charter consistency: consistent on substance — no risk-off tag is active, and today is a live eligible session rather than a hard skip. My persistence rule counts a shift persistent only when at least one risk-off tag — SPY below 50d / drawdown ≥2% / VIX >18 — holds 5 consecutive sessions. None holds and none is close, so nothing is filed.

Three indicators are moving, all named:

  1. VIX is essentially flat at a LOW level: 16.34 → 16.25 (−0.09). Still squarely LOW (<18), 1.75 points short of the >18 trigger. VIX is not a gate input for either stack — it neither blocks nor licenses, and I do not cite the VIX<20 bucket as a tailwind or as a "best" bucket: MNEME's VIX<20 record (PF 2.39 / N=197) is my most-traded LOW bucket with WR 37.6% — my weakest inferential WR — while MID 20–30 is the strongest at PF 3.54 / N=100 / WR 49.0%.
  2. SPY closed below its SMA20 shelf — 762.34 vs SMA20 765.06 (−0.36%) — after the 09-28 session pierced-and-reclaimed it, 09-29 lost it again, and the 09-30 PCE session took SPY −0.54% and left it a third consecutive session under the shelf. The shelf that was support two sessions ago is now clearly overhead. The shared charter tag is spy_vs_sma50; the briefing's price block carries SMA20, not SMA50, so I cannot resolve the charter tag live — I name the SMA20 shelf as the closest available proxy and say so rather than asserting a 50-day reading I do not have.
  3. The always-long baseline gap (own charter monitor, non-tag). As of the 09-28 books (unchanged — no real fires since): MNEME baseline 49 trades / +$1,382.95 vs real +$998.25; TRACE baseline 38 trades / +$841.30 vs real −$388.23 — a combined gap of −$1,614.23 across 40 real trades against 87 baseline trades. The pre-registered escalation needs the baseline to match or exceed the stack's rolling PF at two consecutive monthly checkpoints — the September Desk Review (window through 09-05) did not escalate and this is not a second checkpoint — so nothing is filed; named for the October review. Gate-clear rate and the two rolling-PF windows (MNEME 15-trade, TRACE 20-trade) are unchanged and quiet.

Watch and report only — a persistent shift goes to Desk Review as a recalibration / sit-out / new-mechanism proposal; I never change posture on a regime signal myself.

Shared Market Read

  • Event risk today: HIGH — but not a hard-skip day for either stack. No scheduled Tier-1 today (next Tier-1: NFP Fri Oct 2 8:30 AM ET; FOMC minutes Oct 7, informational). The HIGH rating sits on a busy second-tier calendar into tomorrow's labor print: Initial Jobless Claims 8:30 ET (200K cons / 197K prior), Fed speakers 9:05 ET (Barkin, Collins, Schmid), S&P Global Manufacturing PMI final 9:45 ET (57.0), ISM Manufacturing PMI 10:00 ET (~55.0 / 54.6) plus Construction Spending 10:00 ET, and NKE Q1 FY2027 earnings after the close (single-name, not an index signal). Both active members' blackout set is FOMC/CPI/NFP/PCE only — today is none of them — so firm-wide GO stands and both stacks are LIVE and eligible. The runner's live event-day check returns False; the KNN path runs.
  • Session character expected: Mixed / news-driven, no clean broad gap. Pre-market prints are thin/none on IEX — the gap is unconfirmed until the open; the briefing explicitly flags a mixed, event-driven pre-market rather than a one-way index move. The 9:45–10:00 manufacturing-PMI sequence can reset the morning's structure, and the brief says to keep the initial reaction distinct from any post-release follow-through. The 6:53 ET futures snapshot (S&P +0.36%, Nasdaq-100 +0.77%, Dow +0.06%) is a tape fact, never a p_trade input (standing forecast-discipline rule since 09-24, validated 09-25, 09-28, 09-29).
  • VIX regime: 16.25 — LOW (<18), −0.09 from 16.34. Named as a level, not reassurance: VIX is not a gate input for either stack; structure quality is.
  • Key levels: SPY prior close 762.34; prior-day range 762.24 – 769.41 (7.17 pts = 1.01× ATR(14) 7.07); SMA20 765.06 (−0.36%, below the shelf — now overhead). ATR 7.07 → a 1.5× ATR stop is ≈ 10.6 index points. QQQ prior close 739.51, range 739.46 – 745.07, SMA20 724.54 (well above), ATR(14) 9.70. DIA is not in the briefing's price block — TRACE reads it off its own path and flags the print as unverified (best proxies: 09-28 entry 514.92 / stop 513.98 / exit 514.64; 09-28 baseline Window B 513.93 → 514.12; 09-25 baseline hard-flat 517.62).
  • Macro backdrop: softer core PCE and an upwardly revised GDP estimate are being offset by firm consumer spending, higher long-end yields and renewed oil uncertainty — a mixed inflation-relief-vs-rates read into tomorrow's NFP, with today's manufacturing data as the only scheduled intraday inflection.
The desk-level read — a live, eligible session priced at the measured pooled base rate

Both active members are long-only, intraday, flat at the close, single position per day. Unlike the last two sessions (09-29 eligible-but-no-fire, 09-30 hard-skipped on PCE), today is a live eligible session for both stacks — no Tier-1, no risk-off tag, firm-wide GO. That is the item-1 / orderly side of the draft charter in shape (LOW VIX, mixed-to-firmer tape), with one honest negative: SPY closed below its SMA20 shelf for a third consecutive session, so the shelf is overhead rather than under price.

Base rate, computed from the actual logs (not cited from memory): over the last 10 eligible sessions (09-15 → 09-28) MNEME fired 3 times = 30.0%, TRACE fired 5 times = 50.0% — pooled 8/20 = 40.0%. Extending through the 09-29 no-fire session: pooled 8/22 = 36.4%. Wider window, 08-20 → 09-28: MNEME 8/28 = 28.6%, TRACE 7/28 = 25.0%.

What I am explicitly not doing, holding to the desk's standing dispositions:

  1. Not printing a per-stack spread. The per-stack p_trade anchor item was withdrawn on 09-25 and is not re-filed; re-filing it would require pre-registration (stated N, stated window, stated statistic). The realized rates (30% / 50%) are recorded as tape facts, not anchors — today prices one shared anchor.
  2. Not treating a run of gate clears (or a run of misses) as a signal. No "conditioning evidence" framing; today's number is anchored to a measured pooled frequency and a tape shape, nothing else.
  3. Not citing VIX as a tailwind, and not calling it "best." (See Regime Watch.)
  4. Not pricing the pre-market cross-index read. It is recorded as a tape fact only.

Net: today is live and eligible, no hard skip, no risk-off tag — but the print stays at the measured pooled base rate, not above it, because (a) SPY is below its SMA20 shelf for a third session and (b) the 9:45 S&P Global / 10:00 ISM manufacturing-PMI pair lands directly on Window A's entry bar and at the start of Window B's observation, a real scheduled in-window catalyst that can flip a vote. Printed: mneme 0.40 / trace 0.40, both long, both conviction low — not a 0.5-on-everything hedge, not a streak read, and not re-tuned off any single recent session. A same-day co-fire counts as one clustered observation for Family 5.

MNEME — SPY KNN (p_trade 0.40, long, low)

Live, eligible, no hard skip — and this is the item-1 (orderly) side of my own charter, with one honest negative. No hard skip (blackout = FOMC/CPI/NFP/PCE; today is none); VIX 16.25 LOW is a level, not a licence. Setup present: possible, at the pooled base rate.

My binding gate is the vote (≥62%), not similarity — the recurring shape of my near-misses: 09-25 A 40% / B 53% / C 60%; 09-28 A 47% / B 47% / C 60% (all with max_sim clearing 0.50 comfortably). One correction I carry and will not blur: "similarity never binds me" is falsified as a flat claim — on 09-29 Window B cleared the vote (67%) but max_sim failed at 0.485 vs the 0.50 floor, the first recent session where similarity, not the vote, was the binding constraint. That argues against ever treating a max_sim floor raise as a "quality" tightening.

Why 0.40 and not higher: the tape is not hostile (no gap-down, no risk-off tag, firm GO) and the measured pooled eligible-fire base rate is ~40%, so the number sits at that rate. It is not above it because SPY closed below its SMA20 shelf for a third consecutive session and the 9:45/10:00 PMI pair lands on Window A's entry. Conviction stays low — the honest level when the number is a measured base rate with a scheduled in-window catalyst and nothing beyond base rate and gate clearance to cite.

  • Window A (observe 9:30–10:00, enter 10:00, hard flat 12:00): A's entry at 10:00 lands exactly on the ISM Manufacturing PMI print, the least settled entry of the three. Live A is 5W/5L (10 fires); not a window I lean on.
  • Window B (anchor, observe 10:00–12:00, enter 12:00, hard flat 16:00; holdout PF 3.76): the window I want. B observes the post-open tape — and the 9:45/10:00 data lands at the very start of B's observation, so B reads the market's response to the print rather than the print itself, with the 12:00–16:00 hold carrying no scheduled event. The format that carried 2 of my last 4 fires (09-18 vote 80% → HARD_FLAT +$5.39; 09-22 vote 66.7% → HARD_FLAT +$55.78). Live B 4W/4L (8).
  • Window C (flagged, holdout PF 1.25): observes 12:00–14:00, executes 14:00–15:30 — a catalyst-free Thursday afternoon and my weakest holdout record. Extra scrutiny as always; suspension rule unchanged (rolling 15-trade PF < 1.2). Live C 4W/4L (8); its two-session run of exactly 60% (9/15) grazes broke on 09-29 (C at 53%), so it is not a pattern (N=2, below the desk's N≥3 bar).

Sizing: standard 0.75% ($187.50 on $25K), max $75K notional — no adjustment. HIGH event risk here is a second-tier manufacturing-PMI calendar into tomorrow's NFP, and none of today's items is in my blackout; there is no event-risk reduction the design calls for and no reason to inflate. One position, strongest vote wins.

Key levels: SPY 762.34 prior close; prior range 762.24 – 769.41; SMA20 765.06 (−0.36% — the shelf is overhead). The 765.06 shelf is the level that decides the session: a reclaim and hold above 765.06 re-opens the containment structure under the vote; a decisive break and hold below 762.24 with rate-sensitive growth (QQQ) leading lower is the trend-down tape where longs get stopped, not faded. ATR(14) 7.07 → 1.5× ATR stop ≈ 10.6 points.

Invalidation: SPY gaps >1.5% at the open → stand down entirely. SPY breaks and holds below the 762.24 prior-range low with QQQ underperforming → stand down entirely (named as a change, not an already-true level — SPY is already below its SMA20 shelf, so the operative floor is the prior-day low, and this is the same "breaks and holds" clause the 09-24 reflection fixed and that behaved correctly on 09-25 and 09-28). A Fed-speaker headline or a PMI surprise either way → no discretionary action; the gates decide and I stand down only on the two hard conditions above. No gate is amended; v5's parameter set (K=15, max_sim ≥ 0.50, vote ≥ 62%) is untouched and stays live. SPRT CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST, sticky, LLR +4.802 (n=26, WR 50.0%, cumulative +$998.25) — unchanged since 09-25; nothing to escalate.

TRACE — DIA KNN (p_trade 0.40, long, low)

Live, eligible, no hard skip — priced off the same shared anchor as MNEME, not off its own recent 5/10. No hard skip (today is not FOMC/CPI/NFP/PCE); the 09-05 SIP same-day fix keeps full three-window reads. Setup present: possible, at the pooled base rate. My gate is a joint of two hard conditions — max_sim ≥ 0.60 and vote ≥ 62% (K=10, DIA) — and the two have bound in different windows recently (09-23 the similarity gate in Window B: vote 70% cleared, max_sim 0.519 vs 0.60; 09-24 the vote gate in Window A: 60% vs 62%, a 2-point graze; 09-29 Window B vote 60% vs 62%, a 2-point graze with sim clearing at 0.653). A higher joint-clear bar is a genuine mechanical reason a session clears less often; it is not the withdrawn per-stack base-rate item, and I do not re-file that here.

The 0.40 is a shared-anchor print, stated plainly. My realized eligible-fire rate is 5/10 = 50.0% over 09-15 → 09-28 (7/28 = 25.0% over 08-20 → 09-28) — recorded as a tape fact, not an anchor. The desk's 09-25 disposition established that a fire rate is gate-clearance frequency, not outcome, and that I will not import a quality judgement into a frequency number. So both stacks print the same 0.40, at the pooled base rate, on today's shape. Conviction: low, held deliberately: per the 09-25 peer review I hold it low for as long as I cannot cite evidence beyond base rate and gate clearance for a higher call — today I cannot.

What I am explicitly not using today: the pre-market index-relative read. The 6:53 ET tape names Nasdaq the strongest leg (QQQ futures +0.77%) and the Dow the flattest (+0.06%); if anything the cross points toward DIA's relative weakness versus tech today, and on 09-24 exactly that kind of reasoning inverted while on 09-25, 09-28 and 09-29 the refusal to price it was vindicated. It is recorded as a tape fact and kept out of the forecast — standing forecast-discipline rule for this stack.

My Window A failure mode, stated as a base rate rather than buried as a caveat: Window A is 2W/9L on 11 live fires, and all 9 losses are stop-outs — 09-18 stopped in 45 minutes (−$88.45), 09-22 in 15 minutes (−$82.08), 09-25 on its own entry bar (514.89 @10:00 → 514.89 @10:00, $0.00), and 09-28 in 45 minutes (514.92 @10:00 → 514.64 @10:45, −$41.31). Gate fidelity does not discriminate: 09-25 and 09-28 both cleared wide (vote 70.0%, max_sim 0.9215 / 0.8877) and lost; 09-21 cleared similarly (vote 80%, sim 0.9318) and won. The standing item I carry to TEMPER remains a session-character / cross-index-leadership filter for Window A — proposed, never executed.

  • Window A (observe 9:30–10:00, enter 10:00, hard flat 12:00): where I have fired most (11 of 14 live fires) and the window with the worst live record — 2W/9L. A's entry at 10:00 lands on the ISM Manufacturing PMI print. The laggard-leg stop-out is the modal path here and it is sized by design, not by headline.
  • Window B (observe 10:00–12:00, enter 12:00, hard flat 16:00) / Window C (observe 12:00–14:00, enter 14:00, hard flat 15:30; rolling 20-trade PF < 1.2 suspension rule): equally welcome on a genuine joint clear of a post-open tape. B's observation opening on the 9:45/10:00 print means it reads the response, not the print; C's execution is a catalyst-free Thursday afternoon. Live B 0W/1L, C 0W/2L — extra scrutiny on C as always.

Sizing: standard 0.75% ($187.50 on $25K), max $75K notional — no adjustment. The DEGRADED clock is explicitly not a sizing or gating input; I size by design, not by headline or by the clock. One position, strongest vote wins.

Key levels: DIA is not in the briefing's price block — these are off my own path, not verified prints, and I say so. Best proxies: 09-28 entry 514.92 / stop 513.98 / exit 514.64, 09-28 baseline Window B 513.93 → 514.12, 09-25 baseline hard-flat 517.62. The ~510–511 area (09-24's own base) is the level that must hold to keep a bid under the leg; a decisive break and hold below it with the Dow's rate-sensitives leading lower is the value-leg fade tape where my longs stop out. Internal tell: DIA's energy members (oil is volatile on the Hormuz headline) versus the Dow's rate-sensitives — named as a tape fact, not a p_trade input, so I can check afterwards whether it carried any information.

Invalidation: DIA gaps >1.5% at the open → stand down entirely. DIA breaks and holds below the ~510–511 base with the Dow's rate-sensitives leading lower → stand down entirely (named as a change, not a level already true). A Fed-speaker headline or a PMI surprise either way → no discretionary action; the gates decide. No gate is amended; v2's parameter set (K=10, max_sim ≥ 0.60, vote ≥ 62%) is untouched and stays live.

SPRT — the desk's top watch item, and today it is LIVE: CONTINUE, LLR −2.700 (n=14, WR 14.3%, 2W/12L, −$388.23), 0.245 from the −2.944 DEGRADED boundary (path 0.888 → 0.534 → 1.305 → 0.952 → 0.952 → 0.598 → 0.245) — the thinnest buffer of the run. Unlike 09-29/09-30 (no fire, skip), today a fire is possible: a Window A stop-out would very plausibly cross the boundary and trigger the pre-registered 09-18 desk-PM-review / TEMPER-within-5 protocol; a win moves the clock away. I name this in advance rather than discovering it after the close. It is not a sizing or gating input — the gate decides the trade, the clock reports it.

Pooled note (Family 5)

Both active members are LIVE and eligible on a firm-wide GO day (no hard skip; no Tier-1 today; NFP 10-02 tomorrow). This is the item-1 (orderly, LOW-VIX) side of the draft charter in shape — mixed-to-firmer pre-market, VIX 16.25 LOW and flat, no risk-off tag — with the one honest negative that SPY closed below its SMA20 shelf for a third consecutive session. The plan is priced at the pooled base rate, not above it: measured eligible-fire rates MNEME 3/10 = 30.0% and TRACE 5/10 = 50.0% over 09-15 → 09-28 (wider 08-20 → 09-28: 28.6% / 25.0%), pooled 8/20 = 40.0% (8/22 = 36.4% through 09-29); today printed 0.40 / 0.40, both long, both conviction low, off one shared anchor — the per-stack anchor item stays withdrawn and is not re-filed, and the per-stack realized rates are recorded as tape facts, not anchors. The 9:45 S&P Global / 10:00 ISM manufacturing-PMI pair, which is not in either stack's blackout, lands on Window A's entry and at the start of Window B's observation and is the reason the print is at the base rate rather than above it. Both member sections remain clear of the standing peer-review dispositions (no per-stack spread; no gate-clear-streak conditioning; no VIX-as-tailwind or VIX-as-"best"; no N=1 validation claim; the pre-market cross-index read recorded and not priced; both state the charter status as DRAFT — not ratified). A same-day co-fire counts as one clustered observation. Monitoring clocks: MNEME SPRT CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST (n=26, LLR +4.802, +$998.25); TRACE SPRT CONTINUE (n=14, LLR −2.700, 0.245 from DEGRADED, −$388.23) — thinnest of the run, LIVE today: a stop-out very plausibly crosses it. Watch item named under Regime Watch: the always-long baseline gap (MNEME baseline 49 tr / +$1,382.95 vs real +$998.25; TRACE baseline 38 tr / +$841.30 vs real −$388.23; combined −$1,614.23) — carried, named for the October review, nothing filed (not a second checkpoint).

House Mneme Desk Reflection — 2026-10-01

Plan reference: desks/house-mneme/plans/2026-10-01-plan.md (also agents/mneme/plans/2026-10-01-plan.md, agents/trace/plans/2026-10-01-plan.md) EOD briefing: /Users/dadbot/Desktop/ClaudeBod/projects/dadbrain/Analysis/briefings/2026-10-01-eod.md

Cadence Rule Header

Same-day-on-trade trigger. This desk's weekly floor is Friday and its second trigger is same-day-on-trade; today is Thursday 2026-10-01 and MNEME fired a Window C trade, so the desk is spawned for the daily reflection. Scope is everything since the desk's last reflection — desks/house-mneme/reflections/2026-09-28-reflection.md covered the single session of Mon 09-28, so this period is three sessions: Tue 09-29, Wed 09-30, Thu 10-01. One member traded (MNEME), one did not (TRACE) — no co-fire, so the period's single trade is a standalone observation and the desk's correlated-session rule does not cluster it. GHOST remains frozen (Phase 2, Decision D2) — no reflection.

What Happened

Over three sessions the desk took exactly one trade, in its own flagged window, and lost $43.61 on it in five minutes. Desk net this period: −$43.61 on 1 trade (MNEME, Window C, STOP). The two preceding sessions were silent for both stacks — 09-29 both members were vote-blocked (no_trade:no_signal), and 09-30 was a hard skip for both (PCE Tier-1, blackout). So the period's whole P&L is one MNEME Window C fire that never held.

The session was the desk's own "orderly" side of the charter — a contained, ranging tape — and the one trade still lost. SPY closed 764.10 (+0.23% vs the 762.34 prior close, −0.03% off the 764.34 open), range 758.82–765.63, true range 6.81 = 0.98× ATR(14) 6.95, finishing −0.12% below SMA20 765.01 — the 20-day shelf still overhead. QQQ 742.02 (+0.34%), range 736.25–744.65, true range 8.40 = 0.87× ATR 9.67, comfortably above its SMA20 (726.18). VIX 16.39, LOW (<18), +0.05 — flat, inside LOW for the whole week. The tape was mixed/choppy: early weakness on inflation/rates pressure (ISM prices-paid jumped), an afternoon recovery on Micron-led chip strength and easing yields, then a small late fade. Both proxies were sub-ATR and both closed modestly positive — a contained, two-sided, no-trend session, exactly the shape the plan called.

MNEME (SPY, Window C — STOP, −$43.61): the desk's one trade. window=C vote=73.3% (11 of 15; floor 62% — 11.3 points of margin), max_sim 0.5533 (floor 0.50 — only 0.053 of margin), past_n 1533, entered 763.55 @14:00:00, stop 762.26, exit 763.11 @14:05:00, STOP, net −$43.61. The vote cleared wide; similarity cleared thin. The trade was in Window C — my flagged window (holdout PF 1.25, the weakest of the three) — and it gave back 0.44 points in five minutes, straight through the 1.5× ATR stop.

TRACE (DIA, no trade): blocked=knn_gate A:vote=30%/62% sim=0.876/0.6 B:vote=30%/62% sim=0.649/0.6 C:vote=50%/62% sim=0.585/0.6. The vote gate bound in all three windows — and in A and B it bound 32 points wide (30% vs 62%), structural absence, not a graze. Similarity cleared comfortably in A (0.876) and B (0.649) and failed in C (0.585 vs 0.60). Nothing grazed anywhere.

The load-bearing per-member answers split cleanly, and neither is calibration. MNEME's period binding gate was the vote, and on the one session it cleared, it cleared in its own flagged window and lost — that is a window finding, not a threshold finding, because the vote margin was 11.3 points and the only thin element was similarity (0.053), which is the stack's known non-discriminating metric. TRACE's binding gate was the vote, bound wide (32 points in A and B) — REGIME, no fire, nothing to recalibrate. Across the period, not one threshold was repeatedly grazed on either stack.

The period's real findings are four, and only one is a change in the desk's watch list.

  1. Window C — the flagged window — produced the period's only trade, and it lost. That supersedes the "C grazes at 60%" watch item with something sharper. The 09-25 and 09-28 reflections carried a two-session run of Window C printing exactly 60% (9/15) and flagged that a third consecutive instance would clear the desk's N≥3 bar and warrant a TEMPER conversation about why C is the window that grazes. That did not happen: today C cleared wide at 73.3% — the graze run stopped at N=2. But the underlying concern did not go away; it changed shape. C fired and lost, taking its live book to 4W/5L on 9 fires (a sub-book PF of ≈1.09), the weakest live window on the stack, and the second consecutive Window C fire to stop out (08-11 −$44.62, then today −$43.61). The honest restatement: the flagged window is not "the window that grazes" — it is the window where MNEME's recent activity concentrates and where the stack's losses are piling up. That is worth naming to TEMPER as an observation about C's live character, not as a proposal to move the 62% floor or the 0.50 similarity gate.
  2. The thin-similarity-clear monitoring item is falsified as a flat claim, and I am recording the correction rather than burying it. The desk has carried a note that the three lowest-clearing Phase 3 fires (0.5447, 0.5553, 0.5712) all won, arguing against ever treating a max_sim floor raise as a "quality" tightening. Today's fire cleared at 0.5533 — the fourth-lowest clear on the book — and it LOST. So the item is now 3W/1L at N=4, not "all won." The correct reading is unchanged in direction (a thin clear is not a quality signal, in either direction) but the flat claim is dead and should not be repeated as written.
  3. The forecast layer printed one shared anchor and got a 1-of-2 split, for the third time in six sessions. The plan printed mneme 0.40 / trace 0.40, both long, both low — a single shared anchor set at the measured pooled eligible-fire base rate (8/20 = 40.0%) on a live, eligible session. Realized: MNEME fired (Brier 0.36, direction hit), TRACE did not (Brier 0.16) — 1 fire in 2 stack-days = 50%, a hair above the 40% print. The desk deliberately did not print a per-stack spread (that item was withdrawn on 09-25 and is not re-filed), so a split outcome off a shared anchor is the expected consequence of the withdrawal, not a new defect. Recorded as a data point; N below the pre-registered bar; nothing filed.
  4. The always-long baseline gap widened again on the real book — the desk's own charter monitor. MNEME's real book moved +$998.25 → +$954.64 on today's loss; against the last-recorded baseline books (MNEME 49 trades / +$1,382.95; TRACE 38 trades / +$841.30) the combined gap is now ≈ −$1,657.84 (MNEME −$428.31, TRACE −$1,229.53). The pre-registered escalation requires the baseline to match or exceed the stack's rolling PF at two consecutive monthly checkpoints; the September Desk Review (window through 09-05) did not escalate and this is not a second checkpoint — nothing is filed, named for the October review. (Caveat, stated: the baseline monitor's own rows for 09-29 → 10-01 are not in my reflection inputs, so the baseline cumulative shown is the last recorded book; the real-book side is current.)

Runner health — CLEAR again. intelligence/runner-health-2026-10-01.md grades all ten agents ok with daily artifacts present, including mneme and trace. After the two-session REVIEW run of 09-24/09-25, this is the second consecutive clean day; the open operational item is not closed, but it is not recurring either. No new peer-review file landed on the desk since 09-25 (the desk's most recent is intelligence/2026-09-25-peer-review.md, already reflected on) — the standing dispositions remain in force and are verified in this reflection's plan and member sections.

Event Risk vs. Expectation

  • Event risk HIGH — correct, and it never bound either stack as a gate. No Tier-1 today (next: NFP Fri 10-02, tomorrow; then FOMC Minutes 10-07). The HIGH rating sat on a second-tier manufacturing-PMI calendar into tomorrow's labor print — Initial Jobless Claims 8:30 ET, Fed speakers 9:05 ET, S&P Global Manufacturing PMI final 9:45 ET, ISM Manufacturing PMI + Construction Spending 10:00 ET, NKE after the close. Both members' blackout is FOMC/CPI/NFP/PCE only — today is none of them — so firm-wide GO stood and both stacks were live and eligible. The EOD grades the morning narrative STUCK and confirms the HIGH rating was right for the right reason; no missed same-day Tier-1 event.
  • The scheduled prints resolved benignly and were subordinate, as the plan placed them. Initial Jobless Claims 197K vs 200K expected (slightly firm labor); ISM Manufacturing PMI 54.5 vs 54.8–55.0 consensus (headline expansionary but a slight miss) with prices paid 77.9 vs 72.9 expected, prior 71.1 — a genuine inflation-pressure jump that fed the rates story but did not break the session; S&P Global PMI final and Construction Spending actuals not independently verified; NKE after the close beat on EPS ($0.48 vs $0.44) but missed revenue ($11.21B vs ~$11.3B) with weak FY guidance — a single-name after-hours event, not an index signal. The plan's framing — that the 9:45/10:00 PMI pair lands on Window A's entry and at the start of Window B's observation — was correct; it simply did not matter, because the trade that fired was Window C, after the catalyst had cleared, and TRACE's Window A vote was 30% regardless.
  • Session character — the mixed/choppy call was right and the directional refusal held again. The plan called mixed / news-driven, no clean broad gap, and warned to keep the initial reaction distinct from post-release follow-through. The close delivered exactly that: a morning dip, an afternoon recovery on chips and easing yields, and a small late fade — contained, sub-ATR, both proxies modestly green. The plan again recorded but did not price the 6:53 ET futures snapshot (S&P +0.36%, Nasdaq-100 +0.77%, Dow +0.06%), per the standing forecast-discipline rule. The one place the cross could have been read — Nasdaq the strongest leg — was not leaned on, and the tape did not make the refusal costly.
  • Invalidation — named as a change, and it correctly did not fire. Both plans required "SPY/DIA breaks and holds below the prior-range low with the rate-sensitives leading lower → stand down." SPY did trade below the 762.24 prior-range low (low 758.82) — but it recovered and closed at 764.10, above it, and QQQ outperformed (+0.34% vs SPY +0.23%). "Breaks and holds" is the right mechanic; neither half of the condition was met at the close, and the clause did not produce a spurious stand-down.
  • The one thing the plan got wrong on structure, and it is the trade it should have been more wary of. The plan flagged Window C as the weakest window and said it would treat a C signal with "additional scrutiny" — then MNEME fired C and lost. The plan's framing was right (it named C as flagged); what it did not do was translate "flagged window" into any concrete downgrade of the C setup, and the gates have no such lever — C either clears the gate or it does not, and the flag is a monitoring label, not a filter. That gap between a named concern and an executable response is the honest structural miss of the day, and it is exactly the kind of thing a TEMPER conversation about C's live character is for — a proposal, never a unilateral tweak.

Per-Member Binding Gate Analysis

MNEME — binding gate this period: the vote (09-29, all three windows) and, on the one session it cleared, its own flagged Window C. REGIME, no calibration signal. The thin-similarity-clear monitoring claim is falsified at N=4.
  • 09-29 near-miss row: blocked=knn_gate A:vote=40%/62% sim=0.908/0.5 B:vote=67%/62% sim=0.485/0.5 C:vote=53%/62% sim=0.735/0.5. The vote bound in A and C, and — for the second recent time — similarity bound in B: vote cleared at 67%, max_sim failed at 0.485 vs the 0.50 floor, a 0.015 miss. That is the only recent similarity bind, and it is a graze, not a wide miss. It is N=1 in this period; the nearest prior similarity graze is 09-10 C at 0.490 (0.010 miss). Two instances is below the desk's N≥3 bar for treating a shape as repeatable — named, not escalated.
  • 10-01 fire: window=C vote=73.3% max_sim=0.5533 past_n=1533. The vote cleared by 11.3 points; similarity cleared by only 0.053. No gate grazed. The loss is therefore not a calibration event — it is the flagged window behaving like the flagged window.
  • Window C is now the stack's live weak spot, and that is the period's headline finding. Live C: 4W/5L on 9 fires, a sub-book PF of ≈1.09, and its last two fires both stopped out (08-11 −$44.62; today −$43.61). The suspension rule (rolling 15-trade PF < 1.2) is not triggered — MNEME's rolling 15-trade stack PF is healthy at ≈3.1, and C's own book is only 9 fires deep (below the 15-trade denominator). But the honest position is: the flagged window is delivering on its flag, and the desk's earlier "why does C graze?" question has become "why does C, when it clears, lose?" — a C-character observation for TEMPER, not a change to the 62% floor or the 0.50 similarity gate.
  • The thin-clear item, corrected: the four lowest-clearing Phase 3 fires are now 0.5447 (W), 0.5533 (L, today), 0.5553 (W), 0.5712 (W) — 3W/1L at N=4. The flat "thin clears all won" claim is falsified; the direction of the lesson (a thin clear is not a quality signal) stands.
  • Forecast: p_trade 0.40 (low) → fired → Brier 0.36, direction hit. Reasonable: the shared anchor was set at the measured pooled base rate and the realized period rate was 1/2. SPRT CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST, sticky, LLR +4.532 (n=27, WR 48.1%, +$954.64) — moved off +4.802 by today's loss but nowhere near the ±2.944 boundaries.

Verdict: REGIME — the vote bound in 09-29's windows (wide in A and C), similarity bound once in 09-29 B at a 0.015 graze (N=1 this period, N=2 recent, below the bar), and today's only fire cleared the vote wide (11.3 pts) in the stack's own flagged window and stopped in five minutes. No threshold repeatedly grazed; no calibration signal; no gate change. The period's real content is a WINDOW observation: Window C is now 4W/5L on 9 fires and its last two fires stopped out — the flagged window is delivering on its flag.

TRACE — binding gate this period: the vote gate, bound wide (32 points in A and B). REGIME — no fire, no graze, nothing to recalibrate. The DEGRADED clock sits unchanged at its thinnest-of-run buffer because no fire occurred.
  • The near-miss row is unambiguous: blocked=knn_gate A:vote=30%/62% sim=0.876/0.6 B:vote=30%/62% sim=0.649/0.6 C:vote=50%/62% sim=0.585/0.6. A and B missed the vote by 32 points each — structural absence. Similarity cleared comfortably in A (0.876) and B (0.649) and failed in C (0.585 vs 0.60, a 0.015 miss). The C window failed both gates, so it is not a clean single-gate graze either. There is no calibration evidence in this session.
  • The DEGRADED clock is unchanged and remains the desk's top watch item — precisely because there was no fire to move it. SPRT CONTINUE — n=14 (W2/L12), LLR −2.700, 0.245 from the −2.944 boundary (path 0.888 → 0.534 → 1.305 → 0.952 → 0.952 → 0.598 → 0.245, then flat). No trade → no new observation → the clock is frozen at its thinnest buffer. The boundary was not crossed and the pre-registered 09-18 desk-PM-review / TEMPER-within-5 protocol is not re-triggered. The honest note: the clock is only "live" when TRACE fires, and today it did not — a no-trade session is a deferral of the boundary test, not a pass. Standard 0.75% sizing unchanged; the clock is explicitly not a sizing or gating input.
  • Window A stays the standing structural item, unexercised today. Window A is 2W/9L on 11 fires (all 9 losses stop-outs). Today A's vote was 30% — nowhere near the gate — so the item gained no new instance; it is carried as-is. The standing proposal remains a session-character / cross-index-leadership filter for Window A — a TEMPER conversation, explicitly not a change to the 9:30–10:00 window, K=10, or max_sim ≥ 0.60.
  • Forecast: p_trade 0.40 (low) → no fire → Brier 0.16, no direction score. The shared anchor was set at the measured pooled base rate (8/20 = 40%); TRACE's realized recent eligible-fire rate has cooled — 5/10 over 09-14 → 09-28, but with 09-29 and 10-01 both no-fire the recent run is 5/12, and today's wide vote miss is consistent with that cooling. Conviction stayed low per the 2026-09-23 peer review. The discipline rule held: the pre-market cross read was recorded and not priced.

Verdict: REGIME — the vote gate bound wide in A and B (32 points each), similarity cleared in A and B and failed jointly with the vote in C; nothing grazed, no fire, no calibration signal. The DEGRADED clock is frozen at 0.245 (thinnest of the run) because no fire occurred — a deferral of the boundary test, not a pass; boundary not crossed, protocol not re-triggered. Window A's standing item gained no instance today.

Narrative finding — the desk spent three sessions being told "no" by its gates, then took the one trade its own flag had warned about, and lost small. Both members were vote-blocked on 09-29, hard-skipped on 09-30, and on 10-01 TRACE stayed vote-blocked while MNEME cleared in Window C — the flagged window — and stopped in five minutes. Across the period, not one threshold was repeatedly grazed on either stack. The real content is: (1) Window C, the flagged window, is now the stack's live weak spot (4W/5L on 9 fires, last two fires stopped out) — the earlier "C grazes at 60%" watch resolved not into a third graze but into a clear-and-lose; (2) the thin-similarity-clear item is corrected to 3W/1L at N=4 (0.5533 lost) — the flat "all won" claim is dead; (3) TRACE's DEGRADED clock is frozen at 0.245, the thinnest buffer of the run, a deferral of the boundary test rather than a pass; and (4) a forecast that behaved — one shared anchor (0.40/0.40) at the measured pooled base rate, realized 1 fire in 2 stack-days, Brier 0.36 / 0.16, with no per-stack spread printed (withdrawn 09-25, not re-filed). Combined desk cumulative: 41 trades, +$566.41. Runner health came back CLEAR for a second consecutive day.

Regime Watch

data-infra/regime/current.json (read 2026-10-01, status: ok): as_of 2026-09-22 — SPY day flat (open-to-close −0.08%), above 50d, drawdown bucket <2% (−0.58%), VIX 14.21 LOW (<18). The file lags the live tape by eight sessions (09-23 through 10-01 are not folded in). Not unavailable — the tags it carries still have the same shape as the live tape — but named honestly as eight sessions behind.

Live tape against it: VIX 16.39 (EOD), LOW (<18), +0.05 — flat, still 1.61 points inside the >18 trigger; and SPY closed 764.10, still below its SMA20 shelf (765.01, −0.12%) — the shelf has been overhead for the better part of a week. Honest limitation, stated rather than papered over: my charter's shared tag is spy_vs_sma50, and the EOD briefing's price block carries SMA20, not SMA50 — so I cannot resolve the charter tag live this session. I name the SMA20 shelf as the closest available proxy and say so, rather than asserting a 50-day reading I do not have.

Charter status: DRAFT — not ratified (desks/house-mneme/CLAUDE.md). The consistency verdict below is therefore against draft text, not a ratified constraint. My persistence rule counts a shift persistent only when at least one risk-off tag — SPY below 50d / drawdown ≥2% / VIX >18 — holds 5 consecutive sessions. None is active; none is anywhere near 5. VIX is flat inside LOW, and no drawdown or 50-day tag has turned. Nothing filed.

Draft-charter consistency: consistent — today is the orderly, LOW-VIX side of the charter, and the desk behaved exactly as the charter says. Item 1 is the side we are on: "orderly, trending-up or range-bound tape with LOW VIX, where similar historical states resolve upward within the day." The tape was range-bound and contained (SPY 0.98× ATR, QQQ 0.87× ATR, VIX 16.39 LOW), both members were live and eligible, and the desk's exposure was one long that stopped — no short leg, no overnight exposure, flat by the close. The one honest negative, carried from the plan: SPY closed below its SMA20 shelf again, so the containment structure sits under an overhead level rather than above support. Watch and report only — a persistent shift goes to Desk Review as a recalibration / sit-out / new-mechanism proposal; I never change posture on a regime signal myself.

Own charter monitor, named as required: the always-long baseline gap, and it widened on the real book. MNEME's real book moved +$998.25 → +$954.64 on today's loss; against the last-recorded baseline books (MNEME 49 tr / +$1,382.95; TRACE 38 tr / +$841.30) the combined gap is now ≈ −$1,657.84 (MNEME −$428.31, TRACE −$1,229.53). The pre-registered escalation requires the baseline to match or exceed the stack's rolling PF at two consecutive monthly checkpoints; the September Desk Review (window through 09-05) did not escalate and this is not a second checkpoint — so nothing is filed; it is a named watch item for the October review. Gate-clear rate and the two rolling-PF windows (MNEME 15-trade ≈3.1, TRACE 20-trade) are unchanged and quiet. (Baseline-monitor rows for 09-29 → 10-01 are not in my inputs; the baseline cumulative shown is the last recorded book.)

Open TEMPER Items (Carried Forward / New)

  • MNEME — Window C is now the stack's live weak spot (NEW; supersedes the 09-25/09-28 "C grazes at 60%" watch). Window C is 4W/5L on 9 fires (sub-book PF ≈1.09) and its last two fires both stopped out (08-11 −$44.62; 10-01 −$43.61). Today C cleared wide (73.3%) rather than grazing at 60% — the graze run stopped at N=2 — but fired and lost. The open question to TEMPER is Window C's live character (why C, when it clears, loses), not a change to the 62% floor or the 0.50 similarity gate. Watch only; nothing filed.
  • MNEME — thin-similarity-clear monitoring item CORRECTED (UPDATE). The four lowest-clearing Phase 3 fires are 0.5447 (W), 0.5533 (L, today), 0.5553 (W), 0.5712 (W) → 3W/1L at N=4. The flat "lowest clears all won" claim is falsified and must not be repeated as written. Direction of the lesson (a thin clear is not a quality signal, either way) stands.
  • MNEME — similarity bound once this period (NEW; N=1 period, N=2 recent, below bar). 09-29 Window B: vote cleared 67%, max_sim failed at 0.485 vs 0.50 — a 0.015 graze (nearest prior: 09-10 C at 0.490, a 0.010 miss). Two instances, below the desk's N≥3 bar; named, not escalated.
  • TRACE — DEGRADED clock frozen at 0.245 (carried; unchanged, thinnest of the run). SPRT CONTINUE — n=14 (W2/L12), LLR −2.700, 0.245 from the −2.944 boundary. No fire today → no new observation → the boundary test was deferred, not passed. Boundary not crossed; the 09-18 desk-PM-review / TEMPER-within-5 protocol not re-triggered. Top of the desk's watch list; not a sizing or gating input.
  • TRACE — Window A session-character / trending-fidelity filter (carried since 09-18; no new instance today). Window A is 2W/9L on 11 fires, all 9 losses stop-outs; today's A vote was 30%, nowhere near the gate, so the item gained no instance. Propose the TEMPER conversation stay framed as whether a session-character / cross-index-leadership filter is appropriate for Window A — not a change to the 9:30–10:00 window, K=10, or max_sim ≥ 0.60.
  • Desk — always-long baseline gap (carried; widened on the real book). Combined gap ≈ −$1,657.84 (MNEME −$428.31; TRACE −$1,229.53). Pre-registered escalation requires two consecutive monthly checkpoints; the Sep review (through 09-05) did not escalate and this is not a second checkpoint — named for the October review, nothing filed.
  • Desk — per-stack base rates for p_trade (carried; new data point, still sub-bar). The desk printed one shared anchor (0.40 / 0.40) and the outcome split (MNEME 1/1, TRACE 0/1), because the per-stack spread item was withdrawn on 09-25 and is not re-filed. Recorded as a data point; N below the pre-registered bar; nothing filed. No unilateral re-filing.
  • Desk — same-bar exit == entry / $0.00 stops scored as full losses (carried; unchanged). Today's trade is a normal-magnitude loss and does not extend the item — N=4 desk-wide stands (TRACE 07-13, 08-27, 09-25; MNEME 09-08). Proposed, never applied.
  • Desk — runner reliability (operational, own desk half): CLEAR, second consecutive day. intelligence/runner-health-2026-10-01.md grades all ten agents ok with artifacts present, including both members. The open operational item is not closed, but it is not recurring.
  • Peer-review dispositions — nothing new this period. No peer-review file landed on the desk after the 2026-09-25 session (the desk's most recent is intelligence/2026-09-25-peer-review.md, already reflected on). The standing dispositions remain verified in force: no per-stack spread printed (withdrawn and not re-filed); no gate-clear-streak "conditioning evidence" framing; no VIX-as-tailwind or VIX-as-"best"; no N=1 validation claim; the pre-market cross-index read recorded and not priced; both member sections state the charter as DRAFT — not ratified.
  • NEW learnings flags (desk-scoped, own members only): (1) MNEME — Window C fired (the flagged window) and stopped in five minutes; C is now 4W/5L on 9 fires (sub-book PF ≈1.09), last two fires stopped out; the 09-25/09-28 "C at 60%" graze watch resolved into a clear-and-lose, not a third graze. (2) MNEME — the thin-similarity-clear item is corrected to 3W/1L at N=4: today's 0.5533 clear lost, so "the lowest clears all won" is falsified as a flat claim. (3) MNEME — similarity bound once this period (09-29 B, 0.485 vs 0.50, a 0.015 graze), N=1 period / N=2 recent, below the bar. (4) TRACE — the vote gate bound wide in A and B (32 points each); the DEGRADED clock is frozen at 0.245 because no fire occurred — a deferral of the boundary test, not a pass. (5) TRACE — Window A gained no instance today (vote 30%). (6) Desk — the shared-anchor forecast printed 0.40/0.40 and realized 1 fire in 2 stack-days (Brier 0.36 / 0.16). (7) Desk — the baseline gap widened on the real book to ≈ −$1,657.84 cumulative; named for the October review, nothing filed. (8) Desk — runner health CLEAR for a second consecutive day. No gate edits anywhere: MNEME's v5 set (K=15, max_sim ≥ 0.50, vote ≥ 62%) and TRACE's v2 set (K=10, max_sim ≥ 0.60, vote ≥ 62%) are untouched.

Flag for learnings.md: House Mneme, 2026-10-01 (own members only) — MNEME fired its own flagged Window C (vote 73.3%, max_sim 0.5533) and stopped out in five minutes for −$43.61, taking Window C to 4W/5L on 9 fires (sub-book PF ≈1.09, last two fires stopped out); the vote cleared wide (11.3 points) and similarity cleared thin (0.053), so the loss carries no calibration signal — it is the flagged window delivering on its flag, and the desk's earlier "why does C graze at 60%?" question has become "why does C, when it clears, lose?" That same thin 0.5533 clear also falsifies the desk's standing monitoring claim that its lowest-clearing fires all won: the four lowest clears are now 0.5447 (W), 0.5533 (L), 0.5553 (W), 0.5712 (W) — 3W/1L at N=4. TRACE did not fire (vote bound wide, 32 points in A and B), so its SPRT DEGRADED buffer is frozen at 0.245, the thinnest of the run — a deferral of the boundary test, not a pass. No gate grazed; no gate change.

Desk Summary for Orchestrator

House Mneme's 10-01 reflection covers the three sessions since the 09-28 reflection (Tue 09-29, Wed 09-30, Thu 10-01; MNEME traded, TRACE did not — no co-fire, so the one trade is a standalone observation). Desk net −$43.61 on 1 trade; combined cumulative 41 trades, +$566.41. MNEME (SPY, Window C — STOP, −$43.61): the period's only trade, and it fired in MNEME's own flagged window — vote 73.3% (11.3 pts of margin), max_sim 0.5533 (0.053 of margin), entered 763.55 @14:00:00, stopped 763.11 @14:05:00 after five minutes. Binding gate = the vote (09-29), and the one fire was the flagged Window C — Window C is now 4W/5L on 9 fires (sub-book PF ≈1.09, last two fires stopped out) → REGIME/window, no calibration signal, no gate change; the 09-25/09-28 "C at 60%" graze watch stopped at N=2 and resolved instead into a clear-and-lose, and today's thin 0.5533 clear also falsifies the desk's "lowest clears all won" claim (now 3W/1L at N=4). Forecast 0.40 (low) → fired → Brier 0.36 (direction hit); SPRT CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST, LLR +4.532 (n=27, +$954.64). TRACE (DIA, no trade): blocked=knn_gate A:vote=30%/62% sim=0.876/0.6 B:vote=30%/62% sim=0.649/0.6 C:vote=50%/62% sim=0.585/0.6 — the vote bound wide in A and B (32 points each) → REGIME, nothing to recalibrate; TRACE SPRT CONTINUE, LLR −2.700, 0.245 from DEGRADED — frozen, not crossed, because no fire occurred (a deferral of the boundary test, not a pass); Window A gained no instance (vote 30%). Forecast 0.40 (low) → no fire → Brier 0.16. Session: ranging/choppy and contained — SPY 764.10 (+0.23%, 0.98× ATR, still below SMA20 765.01), QQQ 742.02 (+0.34%, 0.87× ATR), VIX 16.39 LOW (+0.05); ISM 54.5 (slight miss) with prices paid 77.9 (jump), claims 197K, NKE after-close beat/miss with weak guidance; event risk HIGH correct (second-tier PMI into NFP 10-02), no hard skip, firm-wide GO; invalidation ("breaks and holds below the prior-range low with rate-sensitives leading lower") correctly did not fire. Regime watch: data-infra/regime/current.json status: ok, as_of 2026-09-22 (eight sessions behind) — SPY flat, above 50d, drawdown <2%, VIX 14.21 LOW; live VIX 16.39 LOW, SPY below its 20-day shelf; charter DRAFT — not ratified, no risk-off tag active, nothing filed; always-long baseline gap ≈ −$1,657.84 cumulative (named for the October review, nothing filed). Runner health CLEAR (second consecutive day). No gate edits anywhere — MNEME v5 (K=15, max_sim ≥ 0.50, vote ≥ 62%) and TRACE v2 (K=10, max_sim ≥ 0.60, vote ≥ 62%) untouched.

Reflection Filed

  • Filed: 2026-10-01 (post-close; same-day-on-trade trigger — MNEME traded; covers the three sessions Tue 09-29, Wed 09-30, Thu 10-01 since the 09-28 reflection)
  • Next session event risk: HIGH — Tier-1 NFP tomorrow (Fri 2026-10-02, 8:30 AM ET). September Employment Situation: Nonfarm Payrolls (~+90K to +100K consensus / +162K prior), Unemployment Rate (4.1% / 4.1%), Average Hourly Earnings (0.3% MoM / 0.3%); Factory Orders (Aug) 10:00 ET (MEDIUM). NFP is in both members' blackout set (FOMC/CPI/NFP/PCE) — expect a hard skip for both stacks tomorrow, $0, no fire. Next Tier-1 after that: FOMC Minutes 10-07, 2:00 PM ET. Live threads: the inflation-vs-rates debate (ISM prices-paid jump, oil/yield pressure) into the labor print, and Micron/Accenture-led chip-and-software leadership vs a still-overhead SPY 20-day shelf.
  • GHOST: frozen (Phase 2, Decision D2) — no reflection written.
  • MNEME and TRACE per-member compatibility files written (agents/mneme/reflections/daily_2026-10-01.md, agents/trace/reflections/daily_2026-10-01.md).
  • Learnings flag (desk-scoped, own members only — not edited into learnings.md by this desk): MNEME — fired its own flagged Window C (vote 73.3%, max_sim 0.5533) and stopped in five minutes for −$43.61; Window C now 4W/5L on 9 fires (sub-book PF ≈1.09, last two fires stopped out), so the "why does C graze at 60%?" question becomes "why does C, when it clears, lose?" — and the same thin 0.5533 clear falsifies the "lowest clears all won" claim (now 3W/1L at N=4). TRACE — vote bound wide in A and B (32 points each); DEGRADED buffer frozen at 0.245, thinnest of the run, a deferral of the boundary test rather than a pass. Desk — shared-anchor forecast 0.40/0.40 realized 1 fire in 2 stack-days (Brier 0.36 / 0.16); baseline gap widened to ≈ −$1,657.84; runner health CLEAR. No gate edits anywhere.
