Briefing reference: /Users/dadbot/Desktop/ClaudeBod/projects/dadbrain/Analysis/briefings/2026-10-01-pm.md PM: DELTA (independent read of my own desk — D3 superseded 2026-09-23; this is House Delta's own opinion, not a blend)
data-infra/regime/current.json (read 2026-10-01, status: ok): as_of 2026-09-22 — SPY day flat (open-to-close −0.08%), above 50d, drawdown bucket <2% (−0.58%), VIX 14.21 LOW (<18). The file now lags the live tape by seven sessions (09-23, 09-24, 09-25, 09-28, 09-29, 09-30 and today are not reflected). It is a dated read, not a stale-missing one — I name it as behind the tape rather than writing unavailable, the convention my last six plans used.
Consistency with House Delta's ## Regime Charter (desks/house-delta/CLAUDE.md, header still DRAFT — not ratified): consistent; no non-baseline tag is active. Walking the charter's own indicator list (item 5) against the file and today's live tape: spy_drawdown ≥ 5% — no (<2% at the file's read); vix_regime MID or HIGH — no (file 14.21 and today's live 16.25 both sit inside LOW (<18)); spy_vs_sma50 below 50d — unmeasured: the file's dated tag says above 50d (as of 09-22), and today's briefing carries SPY at 762.34 against SMA20 765.06 (SPY below its SMA20) but no current SMA50 level, so proximity to that tag is unmeasured, not "close". Today's plan changes no posture: long-only, intraday, flat by 15:30, one position.
One reading worth naming precisely, not a shift: VIX at 16.25 (−0.09 vs prior close 16.34) remains deep inside LOW (<18) — 13.75 points below my 30 hard skip, and inside LOW (<18), my best-backtested LONG bucket (own tabulation: <18 PF 2.22, n=62; 18–28 PF 1.62). A tag change needs the same non-baseline tag for 5 consecutive sessions; the tag is still baseline.
Own-desk charter watches: rolling 6-month PF reads 1.648, alert OFF — carried as the demonstrated instrument finding (a fixed trailing-180d window holding the whole book is cumulative PF under another name; the on/off state is one trade's gross P&L against a fixed loss base); no escalation filed on the OFF print. Per-pair PF: AMD→TSM n=11, WR 45.5%, PF 1.346 (above 1.0 for the first time, no recovery declared), NVDA→ASML 2W/0L, +$264.42 (unseen since 08-03). Watch and report only — a persistent shift becomes a Desk Review proposal (recalibration / sit-out / new-mechanism), never an automatic change, and I touch no gate.
Call: setup possible — p_trade 0.30, direction long, conviction med. The engine runs today. No Tier-1, VIX 16.25 LOW (my best bucket), firm-wide GO, MEDIUM event risk is not a hard skip. This is the first live session in a two-session window before Friday's NFP skip, and it carries a fresh, complex-specific catalyst rather than a macro print.
Setup present: possible. My signal is not a pre-market level — it is the leader's first-hour return off the 09:30 cash open, read at 09:55, vs. ±1.5%: NVDA ≥ +1.5% → buy ASML at the 10:00 bar open (primary, edge-carrying cell, live 2W/0L, dormant since 08-03 — ~8 weeks) and AMD ≥ +1.5% → buy TSM at the 10:00 bar open (secondary; n=11, WR 45.5%, PF 1.346 — above 1.0 for the first time, no recovery declared). Leader ≤ −1.5% = the disabled-SHORT branch (ENABLE_SHORT = False) → no trade by rule, not a missed LONG.
The driver named by the briefing is the semiconductor complex again — Micron's post-close print (a fresh AI-memory read-through), record South Korean chip exports, and Asian chip leadership overnight. This is the same complex-wide shape that cleared the ±1.5% floor on 09-21 (AMD +3.69% → +$375.06), 09-22 (AMD +1.86% → +$226.88) and 09-24 (AMD +2.56% → +$406.84) — three live wins. My earlier standing argument (a complex-wide bid reprices leader and laggard together and cannot produce the idiosyncratic cascade my edge samples) was retained as a description of the driver but retired as a stand-down rule on 09-23; the floor cleared anyway, at multiple widths, profitably. A fresh idiosyncratic catalyst (Micron's guidance) is the better version of that shape — it can move the memory/AI complex on company-specific information rather than pure macro beta.
Why 0.30 and not higher or lower. p_trade is the probability the engine logs ≥ 1 real trade, not whether it should. intelligence/plan-calibration.csv, my rows: 52 scored days, 9 fires, unconditional realized fire rate 0.173, mean forecast 0.176 — and on no-Tier-1 / LOW-VIX / firm-GO days the realized rate has run above my stated number (09-21 0.15→fire, 09-22 0.25→fire, 09-24 0.12→fire; but 09-23 0.30→no fire, 09-25 0.22→no fire, 09-29 0.12→no fire). The two forces are genuinely offsetting and both real:
no_signal (AMD +0.97%, 0.53pp short; NVDA −0.45%).0.30 is the honest posterior for a live, favorably-regimed, catalyst-carrying but contained-start session — not an endorsement of any resulting trade. direction: long because the up-floor is the modal tradeable branch and the named driver is a bullish semis catalyst (the down branch is the disabled SHORT = no trade by rule). conviction: med, not high — the fresh catalyst is real but the contained-start expectation and the in-window 9:45/10:00 data sequence cap it.
Sizing vs. event risk: standard 0.75% single-position risk, unchanged — no parameter adjusted. Event risk HIGH does not trigger a hard skip today (NFP is tomorrow); my hard 15:30 flat + 2.0× ATR(14, 5-min) stop carry zero overnight and zero event exposure by rule, so tomorrow's NFP print is structurally outside my holding period — the very protection the rule provides, delivered by the intraday design rather than by a skip. No event buffer invented, no stop or window moved. One position at a time; if both pairs fire, the larger |leader return| wins.
Session-character fit: fair-to-mixed, morning-weighted. My read completes at 09:55, before the 10:00 ISM print and the afternoon, and the first hour has no 8:30 macro damper on the semis. Against that: a contained, mixed, news-driven tape is a thin-range tape, exactly where a first-hour impulse can stay inside the floor — and the 9:45 flash PMI lands inside the measurement window. The session does not block the mechanism; it simply does not help it, which is why the probability is held at 0.30 and conviction is not raised.
Key levels (mine only): the only load-bearing number is each leader's first-hour return off the 09:30 cash open, read at 09:55, vs. ±1.5% — NVDA ≥ +1.5% → buy ASML (primary, edge-carrying, live 2W/0L +$264.42, unseen since 2026-08-03, ~8 weeks); AMD ≥ +1.5% → buy TSM (secondary, n=11, WR 45.5%, PF 1.346). No instrument-level price is adopted for NVDA, ASML, AMD or TSM — neither firm input carries a verified level — so all four pair inputs require live confirmation at the cash open. Index gap-framing only: SPY 762.24 / 769.41 (range), SMA20 765.06, ATR 7.07; QQQ 739.46 / 745.07 (range), SMA20 724.54, ATR 9.70.
Invalidation / no-trade reasons:
ENABLE_SHORT = False) → no trade by rule (the modal down-tape outcome — 11 of the earlier scored sessions) — not a missed LONG.no_trade:no_signal, with the per-pair blocked=leader_move val=X floor=±1.5% note. No additional stand-down is pre-registered: the desk's distinction stands — a pipeline absence (runner starvation) is a REVIEW state, never a no-trade, and a missing observation is never evidence of a near-miss.Cumulative +$566.45 across 13 LONG trades, 7W/6L, WR 53.8%, gross PF 1.648; SPRT n=13, LLR +0.976, CONTINUE (+1.969 to CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST, −3.920 to DEGRADED). NVDA→ASML 2W/0L, +$264.42 — the edge-carrying cell, starved ~8 weeks, regime-shaped, not a gate problem (VIX < 18 is my best bucket, and inside it the tape has been quiet). AMD→TSM n=11, WR 45.5%, PF 1.346 — above 1.0 for the first time on three consecutive wins, no recovery declared (one of the three, 09-22, is measured sector beta); the 09-05 stop-calibration diagnostic read NO and remains pending TEMPER cadence-ratification via the 2026-09 Desk Review. Rolling 6-month PF 1.648, alert OFF (instrument artifact, above). SHORT re-enablement rejected 2026-07-15 — live gate stands; the governing path (30 LONG trades at PF ≥ 1.5) is at n=13, 17 trades from even being decidable. Stand-down argument live and provisional; withdrawal needs AMD→TSM PF > 1.0 at n ≈ 15+ (now n=11). Most recent live session: 09-29 no_signal (AMD first-hour +0.97%, 0.53pp short; NVDA −0.45%); 09-30 was a PCE hard skip (no trade by rule).
Operational item (desk-top, carried): runner-health-2026-09-25 recorded delta: completed, daily artifact present, state ok — clean sessions after six September watchdog flags; 09-28, 09-29 and 09-30 all produced normal rows. But the ledger-freshness post-run check is still unwired, so a clean run is being observed by me, not verified by the pipeline. Today the forecast is 0.30, a genuinely scoreable live session: if the 60s run-trades watchdog trips, no row is produced and my 0.30 is scored against a pipeline absence rather than a tape outcome. That exposure is real today in a way it was not on yesterday's 0.00 skip.
p_trade 0.30, direction long, conviction med. Live session: no Tier-1, VIX LOW (best bucket), firm GO; a fresh semis-complex catalyst (Micron post-close read-through, record Korean chip exports, Asian chip strength) is the same shape that cleared the floor on 09-21/09-22/09-24. Held at 0.30 because a ≥1.5% first-hour impulse is a large ask against an expected contained start and the 9:45/10:00 PMI sequence lands at/inside my measurement-and-entry window. Binding gate = leader first-hour return (09:30→09:55) vs. ±1.5% (blocked=leader_move if it misses; the down ≥1.5% branch is the disabled SHORT = no trade). Standard 0.75% single-position sizing, no parameter adjusted; hard 15:30 flat + 2.0× ATR stop put tomorrow's NFP structurally outside my holding period. No trades taken.
