Desk Plan — Reversal — 2026-09-28

Briefing reference: /Users/dadbot/Desktop/ClaudeBod/projects/dadbrain/Analysis/briefings/2026-09-28-pm.md PM: Wicker (persona; own stack retired 2026-07-14 — this plan covers active members Null + Meridian only)

Regime Watch

Regime watch: data-infra/regime/current.json reads as_of 2026-09-22 — status ok: vix_regime LOW (<18, VIX 14.21), spy_drawdown_bucket <2% (−0.58%), spy_vs_sma50 above 50d, spy_day flat, spy_open_to_close_pct −0.08. The file is now FOUR sessions stale — it contains none of 09-23/09-24/09-25 — so it is reported as read (not unavailable) and treated as directional only. The live print is the briefing's VIX 16.40, still LOW (<18), +1.53 vs Friday's 14.87 close — the largest one-session VIX increase in the recent record, and still inside the historically favourable cohort for both members (Null's backtest WR 80.1% in <18). Worth noting for the operator: the staleness is now longer than the persistence window it is supposed to test (the charter's rule is 5 consecutive non-baseline sessions), so a stale file can no longer discharge that check on its own.

Charter consistency (against the DRAFT direction, not a ratified charter — wording corrected this session per the 2026-09-25 peer review, which caught the 09-25 plan calling a DRAFT — not ratified document "ratified"): all three shared tags sit at the charter's baseline state (LOW / <2% / above 50d). No charter indicator is moving off baseline; no non-baseline tag has held for the charter's 5-session persistence window; no Desk Review proposal is triggered. Today's plan is consistent with the drafted direction — intraday only, no overnight hold, no regime-keyed sit-out invented for either member (neither carries one).

One clause-2 note, stated plainly because today is the shape it describes. The draft charter's clause 2 names Null's exposed case as "a persistent gap-down selloff means repeated long fades into weakness", and adds that Null has no regime sit-out (VIX and earnings-residual tags are logged only). Today's pre-market bias is a gap-down risk-off tape on a geopolitical escalation. That is the exposed shape — and the cleared filter nevertheless permits the aligned long fade, so the plan takes it, logs the exposure, and invents no sit-out. Watch and report only.

Shared Market Read

  • Event risk today: HIGH — and it is headline risk, not a scheduled binary, so neither member's event gate fires. is_event_day('2026-09-28', tier_filter=1) and (tier_filter=2) both return clean — verified this session, not assumed. The next Tier-1s are PCE Sep 30 (2 days) and NFP Oct 2 (4 days); FOMC Minutes Oct 7, decision Oct 28. Firm-wide trade status GO. The HIGH rating comes from the weekend failing against the relief case: Trump rejected Iran's seven-day Hormuz proposal, crude rebounded, long-end yields rose, Asian equities fell, Europe mixed-to-firmer with defensives and energy outperforming, dollar stronger, gold weaker. The briefing's intraday instruction is explicit: treat the open as headline-sensitive, do not pre-assign the session's direction or tier polarity, and confirm whether the gap extends or reverses after the opening structure forms.
  • Session character expected: news-driven, two-tier, gap-DOWN bias led by rate-sensitive growth — Nasdaq futures weaker than S&P futures, oil/yields the transmission channel. The briefing's own containment note is the one to hold onto: last week's four sessions all resolved at or inside ~1.0× ATR (Friday 0.65× QQQ / 0.87× SPY). A gap-down bias is the tape's direction, not a prediction that it holds — and the live variable (an Iran headline) is two-sided and can reverse either way inside the session.
  • VIX regime: 16.40 (LOW, <18) — the cohort in which both members' backtested edge is concentrated. No VIX gate exists on either stack; tailwind note, not a signal. The +1.53 jump is the thing to watch as an early-warning input rather than a gate.
  • Key levels:
  • QQQ: prior close 744.44 (Null's gap-fill target; Meridian's measured move anchor), prior-day range 739.67 – 745.84 (range 6.17, 0.65× ATR), prior high 745.84 (Meridian's sweep level, +1.40 pts / +0.19% above the prior close), 20-day SMA 720.88 (price above SMA20 by 3.27%), ATR(14) 9.44.
  • SPY: prior close 771.35, prior-day range 766.32 – 772.26 (range 5.94, 0.87× ATR), prior high 772.26 (+0.91 pts / +0.12% above the prior close), 20-day SMA 765.34 (above by 0.79%), ATR(14) 6.83.
  • IWM: no briefing block, and the ASSAY 1-min cache's last session is 2026-09-24 — IWM's 09-25 range and today's prior-high level are unavailable. Meridian's IWM leg is unpriced pre-open; the engine's own precheck governs it at the open.
  • Null's gap band off ATR 9.44 / prior close 744.44 (0.10× = 0.944 pts → −0.127%; 0.30× = 2.832 → −0.380%; 0.70× = 6.608 → −0.888%): gap-down LONG zone [737.83, 743.50] (−0.89% to −0.13%) — the aligned path today; sub-floor block (743.50, 745.38); tiny gap-up SHORT zone [745.38, 747.27] (+0.13% to +0.38%); gap-up ≥0.30× refused by the trend filter by rule [747.27, 751.05]; oversize ≥751.05 or ≤737.83.
  • Cross-check against the Scanner watchlist (NOT authoritative for prices, but the only pre-market QQQ print available): watchlist snapshots show QQQ 737.83 (−0.90%) and SPY 768.15 (−0.41%), with S&P futures −0.44% / Dow futures −0.34%. The QQQ snapshot maps to a raw gap_ratio of 0.700 — exactly on the 0.70 ceiling, i.e. oversize by a whisker. Snapshots are stale/asynchronous and the briefing has no QQQ/SPY print at 07:00 ET on the thin IEX feed, so the cash-open gap is unquantified pre-open. I price it; I do not assume its size.
  • Macro backdrop (one sentence): the weekend's diplomacy broke against the relief case — oil and long yields up, rate-sensitive growth the weak leg — leaving a firm-wide GO on a headline-driven Monday whose only scheduled catalysts are a 10:30 Dallas Fed survey and bill auctions.

Null — QQQ (gap fade / FVG; MNQ proxy, gap measured at the cash open)

Setup present: YES on the aligned path — p_trade 0.40, direction LONG (gap-down fade), conviction MED. This is the first session in the last five where the tape's bias points into the cohort Null is cleared to trade rather than away from it, and I am pricing that change rather than repeating Friday's habitually conservative number.

  1. The trend filter, which has been the binder, now points the right way. QQQ sits 3.27% above its 20-day SMA (744.44 vs 720.88), so cleared strategy_v2.md rule 3 permits gap-DOWN fades (long) — only those, plus the tiny-gap exception. Last week the modal open was above the prior close, i.e. in the refused or sub-floor bands (four sessions running: refused 09-21, sub-floor 09-22, sub-floor 09-23, and 09-24's in-band gap-down which the pattern gate then refused). Today the pre-market bias is down, which puts the modal open inside the aligned band.
  2. The conditioning, with the two-gate correction from Friday's own reflection applied. Sessions with a parsed gap_ratio since 07-13: 45 sessions, 16 fires (0.356) — sub-floor 7/0, tiny 14/11 (0.786), in-band 15/5 (0.333), oversize 9/0. Split by the structure that matters today (direction × SMA20, the aligned cohort): gap-DOWN above SMA20 fired 3/3 (08-06 0.427 +, 08-20 0.325 +, 08-28 0.135 +), while in-band gap-up above SMA20 was refused 3/3 by the trend filter (08-04, 08-21, 08-27) and tiny gap-up above SMA20 fired 6/6. These rows are P(gap gate passes), not P(trade) — Friday's reflection caught that error: since 07-14 there have been 19 gap-gate passes, 14 fires and 5 no_signal:pattern blocks → a conditional fire rate of ≈ 0.74 (09-24 is the clean demonstration: gap gate passed at 0.659, pattern blocked on max_retrace_ratio=0.00 drive_ok=False). Today's number is built as P(gap gate passes) × 0.74, not read off the raw row.
  3. P(gap gate passes), stated numerically. The pass window is −0.13% to −0.89% — a 5.67-pt band on a 9.44-pt ATR. The live inputs (SPY futures −0.44%, Dow −0.34%, Nasdaq weaker, the stale QQQ snapshot at −0.90%) put the modal cash open inside that window, with a genuine tail above the 0.70 ceiling (a held Nasdaq-led gap is an oversize block) and a smaller tail that pares to sub-floor. I set P(pass) ≈ 0.55 — deliberately not higher, because the one QQQ print available sits exactly on the ceiling and because last week's tape repeatedly opened smaller than the futures bias implied. 0.55 × 0.74 ≈ 0.41 → priced 0.40.
  4. Two ways a qualifying gap still pays nothing, both live today. (a) The pattern gate: on a gap-down open the mechanism needs a down-drive and a ≥50% single-candle retrace of it to arm; a one-way selloff gives no retrace (09-24's exact failure) — and a headline-driven trend open is the shape most likely to produce one. (b) The pre-market volume stand-down (rule 4, NQ volume ≤ 2× its 5-day average) — unmeasurable from the IEX feed I have, and unusually live on a weekend-headline Monday.
  5. The standing divergence, carried not fixed: data/event_calendar/qqq_earnings_dates.csv remains stale through 2026-06-03 (last row AVGO 06-03), so the Tier-2 mega-cap filter reads clean off a file that has not been updated since June. Today the staleness is not load-bearing — the only reporter in the window is JEF, which reports after today's close and is not on the cleared named list (AAPL, NVDA, MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL/GOOG, META, TSLA, AVGO, COST, NFLX) — unlike Friday, when COST's FQ4 beat made the live engine trade a session the cleared rule's plain text would have skipped. Recorded for TEMPER/ZEUS; no gate touched. (MU's FQ4 lands 09-30, the PCE day — not on the named list, so a residual-vol question rather than a hard skip, and the same stale file will miss it.)

Sizing vs event risk: standard — 1 MNQ, 0.5% risk, one position at a time, 11:00 ET hard exit. No changes. Not upsized because the aligned cohort has fired 3/3; not downsized for HIGH headline risk — Null's cleared rule set carries no headline skip and I am adding none.

Key levels: QQQ prior close 744.44 (fill target), prior high 745.84, prior low 739.67, SMA20 720.88 (the filter that decides eligibility), ATR(14) 9.44. Live zones: [737.83, 743.50] (gap-down LONG — the modal path today) ∪ [745.38, 747.27] (tiny gap-up SHORT); refused by rule [747.27, 751.05]; sub-floor (743.50, 745.38).

Invalidation / stand-down: stand down if the cash open prints in (743.50, 745.38) (sub-floor), in [747.27, 751.05] (gap-up refused by the trend filter), ≥751.05 or ≤737.83 (oversize either way — fill probability below 42% by construction), or if pre-market NQ volume runs >2× its 5-day average. A qualified gap must still print a drive and a ≥50% retrace; no drive = no trade. The 11:00 ET hard exit is unchanged. A sub-floor, refused-band or oversize block is not a near-miss and must not be scored as one — it is the cleared filter working.

Mechanism health: SPRT CONTINUE — n=16 W15/L1, LLR +2.673, cumulative +$2,088.09, WR 93.8%, now 0.271 from the CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST boundary. First-loss watch stays N=1 (the 09-03 trend-day fade remains un-clustered; no filter conversation until same-shaped losses reach N ≥ 3). No tweak.

Null — p_trade-bucket calibration table (DELTA's ask; 50 scored plan days, 14 fires, realised 0.280, mean p 0.243, mean Brier 0.170):

0.30–0.39620.333
0.40–0.49850.625
0.50+520.400

Read: the stack is broadly calibrated in aggregate (mean p 0.243 vs realised 0.280) but 0.20–0.29 is the over-priced zone (realised 0.143–0.167 over 13 days) while 0.40–0.49 is the best-realised bucket (0.625 at N=8). Today's 0.40 sits where the evidence supports it, and Friday's 0.18 — which fired and scored Brier 0.6724 — is a reminder that the low print, not the high one, was the miscalibrated side. Provenance note (verified this session): the calibration file's stack labels are now intact — Null's and Meridian's rows both read reversal, null / reversal, meridian for 09-24 and 09-25, so Friday's flagged blank-label artifact is resolved; the quoted "null" frontmatter key is doing its job.

Meridian — QQQ/SPY/IWM (kill-zone prior-high sweep + RSI(2) ≥ 88, bearish only)

Setup present: NO — p_trade 0.05, direction SHORT (mechanical, the stack is bearish-only), conviction LOW. Friday was the best pre-session geometry this stack has had in weeks (levels 0.21% away, tape pointing into them, all three legs volatility-released) and it still produced nothing, blocked from below by the ADX floor and by IWM's exhaustion shortfall. Today's geometry is worse in the one dimension that matters and no better in any other, so the number goes down, not sideways.

  1. The base frequencies Delta and Vesper asked for, computed over every logged session (74 sessions, 2026-06-15 → 2026-09-25) rather than asserted:
Condition (session-level, any of the three legs)N sessionsshare
ADX read inside 18–321520.3%
Prior high within reach — day_high within 0.5% of prior_high, or gap_to_level ≤ 0.5 pts1520.3%
Both (the joint)1013.5%
Reached the sweep chain (a qualifying spike-and-close-back was evaluated)11 sessions (12 leg-rows since 07-20)—
Fired34.1%

This retires the "mutual exclusion" sentence the 09-25 plan and reflection elevated to a structural law, and both peer reviewers were right to kill it: the joint occurred in 10 sessions, not never. The corrected reading is the one Delta and Vesper pointed at — proximity is a weak predictor of reach, contained tapes travel less, and the real binder sits deeper in the stack. "Within reach" is now stated numerically (0.5% / 0.5 pts) and is falsifiable: recompute this table each plan; if the joint rate holds near 13.5% while fires stay at 4.1%, the constraint is downstream of the band, not the band.

  1. And the binder inside those 10 joint sessions is named, not gestured at. Of the 10 sessions where ADX was in-band and a prior high was within reach, 7 were blocked at no_sweep (07-16, 08-11, 08-14, 08-21, 08-27, 09-01, 09-02) and 4 reached the sweep chain and were refused by rsi_reject (07-21 max_rsi2=40.4, 07-22 51.6, 07-27 23.9, 09-02 59.3; 09-02 shows both legs). The ADX precheck never bound as the first gate in a joint session — 0/10. That is exactly the counter-evidence Vesper demanded, and it is why the floor question is re-filed to TEMPER as a question with the counter-evidence attached, not carried as a lever: if containment keeps the tape away from the levels, moving the floor buys access to a gate stack whose last filter then refuses anyway. The 88 line is untouched — cleared-parameter territory.
  2. The exhaustion record, corrected. Since 07-20 the engine has logged 12 sweep-chain leg-rows (not 13 — the reflection's count was one off, per Vesper's log check) and zero RSI(2) ≥ 88 prints. Near-misses: IWM 84.2 (09-21), SPY 80.0 (08-17), 78.4 / 73.0 (08-10), 59.3 (09-02), 51.6 (07-22), 46.5 (08-25), 40.4 (07-21), 23.9 (07-27), 11.1 (09-18), 4.5 (07-20), 29.9 (09-25). 0-for-12, and the closest was 3.8 points short.
  3. Today's geometry points the wrong way, which is the change from Friday. QQQ's prior high 745.84 is +0.19% above the prior close and SPY's 772.26 is +0.12% above — both nominally tight. But the tape is expected to open below the prior close (gap-down bias ~0.4–0.9%): on the briefing's bias, the levels sit roughly 0.6–1.1% above the expected open and the pre-market direction points away from them. That is the 2026-06-18 lesson in its unfavourable form — "reachable in principle" is not "likely to be reached", and a down-biased open is the wrong structural backdrop for an upside sweep. Friday had the favourable form and still fired nothing.
  4. Volatility gate (Step 1) — reads Friday's ranges, and two of three legs look released. QQQ: prior range 6.17 vs ceiling ≈ 9.03 (1.25 × 7.226, my reconstruction off the cached 1-min series through 09-24) → passes at 0.68×, 32% cushion. SPY: prior range 5.94 vs ceiling ≈ 6.32 (1.25 × 5.052; the engine's own 09-25 read of the SPY average was 4.99 → ceiling 6.24) → passes at 0.94×, ~6% cushion — thin, and the leg I'd flag as the one most likely to tip. IWM unprojectable: no briefing block, cache ends 09-24 (its 20-day average range 3.005 → ceiling 3.756, and 09-24's own range 3.195 passed at 0.85×), so today's IWM read is unknown and I price it as possibly blocked.
  5. ADX band (Step 2) — unknowable pre-open, and last week showed the read carries almost no session-to-session information. Friday's reads were QQQ 16.4 and SPY 14.9 (both below the floor) against QQQ 27.9 on 09-24 — an 11.5-pt swing between two contained sessions of near-identical character. I will not invent a number, and I will not lean on the nearest read as a guide: the honest statement is that the band's side is unknowable and the floor has been the binder in six of the last eight sessions on a contained tape.
  6. What would have to happen today: a leg inside ADX 18–32 and volatility-released, price rallying into a prior high after a gap-down open (a reversal bounce that fails), a spike through prior_high that closes back below in the same 5-min bar with RSI(2) > 88, then a bearish 1-min FVG within 15 minutes. Three legs to try, two plausibly released — and the last filter is 0-for-12 live.

Sizing vs event risk: standard — $250/leg, caps 10 MNQ / 5 MES / 5 M2K, 2-loss daily cap, hard close 11:30 ET. No changes. A no-trade forecast is not a reason to size down, and HIGH headline risk does not alter a standard that already assumes normal conditions. The same-sign stop guard voids any malformed stop (live since 2026-08-20). iwm_leg remains n=0 — the honest live anchor for IWM is ~56%, not the 73.3% headline.

Key levels: QQQ prior high 745.84 (sweep level, +0.19% from prior close 744.44); SPY prior high 772.26 (+0.12% from 771.35); IWM unavailable. ADX band 18–32 (nearest reads: QQQ 16.4 / SPY 14.9 on 09-25, both below the floor; QQQ 27.9 on 09-24 inside). Volatility ceilings ≈ 9.03 QQQ / 6.24–6.32 SPY / 3.76 IWM (1.25× the 20-day average range, cache basis through 09-24). ATR(14) daily QQQ 9.44 / SPY 6.83 → the stop is the engine's own 2.0× ATR(5m) beyond the swept wick.

Invalidation / stand-down: stand down if the ADX precheck lands outside 18–32 on every leg (the base case), or the volatility precheck blocks all legs (SPY is the thin one; IWM is unknown and most likely to be blocked), or a leg sweeps but never prints a close-back-below bar with RSI(2) ≥ 88 (0-for-12 live), or no leg reaches its prior high — the modal outcome today, since the tape is expected to open away from the levels. The 11:30 ET hard close and the 2-loss daily cap are unchanged. I do not touch the 88 line.

Meridian — p_trade-bucket calibration table (DELTA's ask; 50 scored plan days, 2 fires, realised 0.040, mean p 0.156, mean Brier 0.063):

0.20–0.241100.000
0.25–0.29600.000
0.30–0.39600.000

Read: 23 plan days priced ≥0.20 have produced zero fires. Both scored fires landed at 0.10–0.19. The desk's mean p of 0.156 against a realised 0.040 is the honest diagnosis of the historical habit; 0.05 sits below the unconditional 4.1% plus a small uplift for two plausibly-released legs, and is where the evidence puts it. (The scored table shows 2 fires vs. 3 in trades.csv — the 2026-07-10 QQQ fire predates the calibration file's 07-14 start; noted so the counts reconcile.)

Standing tolerance (DELTA's ask, enforced): if Meridian produces two consecutive non-fires while this desk calls the setup "one gate away", the label reverts from regime to calibration and the price drops — with the next two sessions priced from the realised bucket frequency alone. Today's plan does not claim "one gate away": it says the tape points away from the levels and the last filter is 0-for-12. So the tolerance is armed, not triggered — stated rather than left to lapse.

Plan Filed

  • Filed: 2026-09-28 (pre-market, 04:36 PT / 07:36 ET)
  • Frontmatter forecasts complete for active members only (Null, Meridian): yes. Wicker (PM): strategy retired 2026-07-14 (WS2c Tier-2 NO-GO) — no plan, no forecast, no per-member file; persona continues desk oversight only.
  • Firm-wide GO; event risk HIGH (no Tier-1 today — next PCE Sep 30 — but the pipeline is a re-opened geopolitical escalation: rejected Iran/Hormuz proposal, oil and long yields up, gap-down bias led by rate-sensitive growth). Both members' Tier-1 event gates are clean (verified). Null p_trade 0.40 / direction long / conviction med; Meridian p_trade 0.05 / direction short / conviction low.
  • Base-case desk outcome: Null trades — the cash open holds most of the futures bias into the aligned gap-down band [737.83, 743.50] (the modal S&P/QQQ futures read is ≈ −0.4% to −0.6%), a down-drive and ≥50% retrace form, and the long fade runs to the prior close 744.44; the alternative endings are a held Nasdaq-led open printing on the 0.70 ceiling (≤737.83 → oversize, block) and a headline-driven one-way selloff giving no retrace (pattern gate). Meridian no-trade — the base case is adx_precheck outside 18–32 and/or no_sweep, since the tape opens away from the levels; the upside tail is a gap-down bounce into QQQ 745.84 that prints RSI(2) ≥ 88 (0-for-12 live).
  • One thing I am watching, both stacks: how much of the gap-down bias survives to the cash open. For Null that single number decides aligned-band (trade) versus oversize/refused (block); for Meridian a smaller gap that bounces back toward the prior high is the only route to a sweep — a bigger, held gap makes the sweep geometrically less likely. The second: QQQ's 15-min ADX at the open (Friday 16.4, Thursday 27.9 — the band's side has been unforecastable).
  • Peer-review carry-in (2026-09-25, all critiqued items "acted"): (a) Delta's + Vesper's base-frequency ask → published in the Meridian section with numeric definitions, the joint count (10/74), the binder inside it (no_sweep 7, rsi_reject 4), and the stated falsifier; (b) the "mutual exclusion" structural law → retired; the "0-for-13" sweep count → corrected to 0-for-12; (c) the charter-status mislabel → fixed (this plan says draft direction, and the drafts' DRAFT — not ratified status is named in both member plans); (d) the ADX-floor TEMPER question → re-filed as a question with the in-band-but-no_sweep counter-evidence attached, together with the plain statement that if containment is the real constraint the floor is the wrong lever — and the "getting to its last gate" framing is dropped from learnings.md; (e) DELTA's p_trade-bucket tables → maintained and updated through 09-25 for both stacks; (f) Null's forecast is conditioned on the gap-band arithmetic × the pattern-gate factor, not set by narrative (VESPER's ask).
  • Reconfirmation ledger: no open item gates today. Meridian IWM expansion CLOSED 2026-08-20 (strategy_v7.md); standing ~6-month decay re-backtest next due ~2027-02-20. Wicker's feed/session re-run remains the desk's highest-priority open reconfirmation (own stack retired, not a today blocker).
  • Method note (transparency, no execution impact): every pre-session number that actually matters is the engine's own precheck at the open. The gap zones, band probabilities, volatility ceilings and base frequencies here are my own arithmetic off the briefing's authoritative prices and the members' own trades.csv / the ASSAY 1-min cache — whose last cached session is 2026-09-24, so QQQ/SPY ceilings are computed on the cache's 20-day average through 09-24 against the briefing's 09-25 ranges, and IWM is marked unavailable. Reversal Desk Reflection — 2026-09-28

PM: Wicker (persona; own stack retired 2026-07-14 — desk covers active members Null + Meridian only) Briefing reference: dadbrain/Analysis/briefings/2026-09-28-eod.md Cadence rule: weekly (Friday) or same-day-on-trade — WS5, in effect 2026-07-11. Today is a Monday and Null traded, so the same-day trigger fires. Period covered: 2026-09-28 (one session; the weekend sits between the prior reflection, 2026-09-25, and today). One trade — Null's QQQ gap-fade long, a loss. One Meridian no-trade. Desk scope net: −$189.84.

What Happened — Desk Summary

One trade, one loss, and for the first time both stacks' own gates did exactly what the desk said they would — and the desk still went home −$189.84. This is the honest shape of the session: no gate failed, no filter misbehaved, and a mean-reversion desk on a one-way headline tape got its setup and had it run over. Null traded and lost — the first session in five whose bias pointed into its aligned cohort (cash open 740.47 vs prior close 744.44, a gap-down of −3.97 pts / −0.53%, gap_ratio 0.453 in-band, price above the 20-day SMA), the gap gate passed, and — unlike 09-24, where the same cohort passed the gap gate and the pattern gate refused with max_retrace_ratio=0.00 floor=0.50 drive_ok=False — the pattern gate armed this time. Null went long 1 contract at 738.725 @ 09:58, stop 736.3582, target the prior close 744.44, and was stopped 736.3582 @ 10:11 for −$189.84 net (gross −$189.34, commission $0.50). QQQ closed 736.55 (−1.06%) on a 731.65 low after a 740.47 open; the tape never traded back above 741.41, so the fill target was never in play. Meridian no-traded with no_sweep on all three legs — and, for the first time in its live record, with the ADX band inside 18–32 on every leg (QQQ 23.1, SPY 18.3, IWM 28.8) and volatility released on all three: both prechecks open, the binder moved downstream to the sweep geometry, exactly as the 09-28 plan's corrected reading said it would.

  • Null — TRADED, LOSS −$189.84 (long QQQ, entry 738.725 @ 09:58, stop 736.3582 @ 10:11, 13 minutes). The path was the plan's named one, gate for gate: gap-down 0.453× inside the cleared [0.10, 0.70] band, above the SMA20 → trend filter permits the long; gap gate passes; open drive forms and a ≥50% single-candle retrace arms the reversal-impulse rule. What the tape then did was keep going: QQQ O 740.47 / H 741.41 / L 731.65 / C 736.55, a 12.79-pt true range (1.29× ATR(14) 9.91) on a news-driven risk-off session (US-Iran standoff, rising yields, tech the weak leg, energy firm). This is the drafted charter's clause-2 exposed case occurring live for the first time — "a persistent gap-down selloff means repeated long fades into weakness" — and the plan logged it pre-market, invented no sit-out, and traded its cleared rules. SPRT CONTINUE — n=17 W15/L2, LLR +2.168, WR 88.2%, cumulative gross +$1,906.75 / net +$1,898.25; the loss moves the book back from the boundary it approached on 09-25 (0.271 → 0.777 from CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST).
  • Meridian — NO-TRADE. no_sweep on QQQ (prior_high 745.91, day_high 741.41, gap_to_level +4.50, adx_open 23.1), SPY (772.28 / 768.58 / +3.70 / 18.3) and IWM (283.52 / 280.79 / +2.73 / 28.8). No adx_precheck block and no volatility block on any leg — the first such session in the record. The tape opened 5.44 pts below QQQ's prior high and never got closer than 4.50. SPRT CONTINUE — n=3 W2/L1, LLR +0.222, cumulative +$385.22, WR 66.7%; spy_leg n=1 WR 100%; iwm_leg n=0.

Forecast calibration for the period (row 09-28, intelligence/plan-calibration.csv): Null p_trade 0.40, traded=1, direction long, direction_hit=1, Brier 0.36; Meridian p_trade 0.05, traded=0, Brier 0.0025. Null's 0.36 is (1 − 0.40)² — the mechanical cost of a high-confidence fire-call on a day that did fire. p_trade is scored against traded (WS4b), not against P&L: the desk's number forecasts firing, and today it forecast firing correctly. The plan built it as P(gap gate passes) ≈ 0.55 × P(pattern | gap gate) ≈ 0.74 ≈ 0.41 → priced 0.40 — the two-gate correction owed from 09-24 — and both factors behaved as priced. The 0.40–0.49 bucket now reads 6 fires / 9 scored days = 0.667 realised against a 0.40 nominal; if anything it remains under-priced. The desk says this plainly so a losing fire day is not misread as a calibration failure, and so the number is not moved off an outcome.

Regime Watch

Regime watch: data-infra/regime/current.json reads as_of 2026-09-22 — status ok: vix_regime LOW (<18, VIX 14.21), spy_drawdown_bucket <2% (−0.58%), spy_vs_sma50 above 50d, spy_day flat, spy_open_to_close_pct −0.08. The file is now FOUR sessions stale — it contains nothing from 09-23, 09-24, 09-25 or 09-28 — so it is reported as read (not unavailable) and treated as directional only. The live print is the briefing's: VIX closed 16.07 (+1.20 on the prior close 14.87), still LOW (<18). Stated plainly for the operator: the staleness is now longer than the charter's own five-session persistence window, so a stale file can no longer discharge that check on its own. This is the third reflection running in which the file has been stale; it is recorded rather than worked around.

Charter consistency (against the DRAFT direction — ## Regime Charter reads DRAFT — not ratified; wording held deliberately after the 2026-09-25 peer review caught the 09-25 plan mislabelling it "ratified"): all three shared tags sit at the charter's baseline state (LOW / <2% / above 50d). No charter indicator is moving off baseline, no non-baseline tag has held for the five-session persistence window, and no Desk Review proposal is triggered. Today's plan was consistent with the drafted clauses — intraday only, no overnight hold, no regime-keyed sit-out invented for either member (neither carries one). And clause 2's exposed case occurred live for the first time: Null's long fade into a persistent gap-down selloff, −$189.84. The plan named the exposure pre-market, took the cleared trade anyway, and proposed nothing. That is N=1 on the clause the charter itself admits it cannot answer from the live window; the desk records it and invents no sit-out, exactly as the charter's watch-and-report-only posture requires. Observation, not a signal: SPY closed 765.49 against its 20-day SMA 765.15 — the broad tape is now effectively sitting on its 20-day average, while the (stale) regime file still reads spy_vs_sma50 as above 50d.

P&L convention note: Null's trades.csv row records gross −$189.34, commission $0.50, net −$189.84; the member daily summary's cumulative line reads gross +$1,906.75 / net +$1,898.25 over 17 trades. The desk quotes net throughout, and flags the gross/net gap so the two documents reconcile.

Per-Member Binding Gate Analysis

Null — TRADED (LOSS). Every gate the plan named released, the mechanism took its cleared setup, and the tape ran the other way: REGIME for the fire, and the first live instance of the charter's clause-2 exposed shape

The path, gate by gate, against the plan: cash open 740.47 vs prior close 744.44 → gap-down −3.97 pts (−0.53%), gap_ratio 0.453 (in-band on either ATR basis — the plan's briefing ATR 9.44 gives 0.421, the engine's own gives 0.453; the band classification is identical), price above the 20-day SMA → trend filter permits the long. Gap gate passes. The plan's watch item #2 named the pattern block as the likely failure path on a one-way selloff ("a one-way geopolitical selloff gives no retrace"); instead the drive formed and the ≥50% single-candle retrace armed, so the reversal-impulse rule fired and the mechanism entered at 09:58. Pattern gate passes. Then the drive resumed.

  • The aligned cohort fired for the fourth time and lost for the first time. The plan's conditioning table recorded gap-down above SMA20 at 3/3 (08-06 0.427 +, 08-20 0.325 +, 08-28 0.135 +). Today makes it 3/4. The desk states the count and does not re-weight the cohort off one observation.
  • The precondition was satisfied and the trade still failed — a different thing from a gate miss. QQQ's session was O 740.47 / H 741.41 / L 731.65 / C 736.55, true range 12.79 (1.29× ATR(14) 9.91). The fill target (prior close 744.44) required a complete gap closure; after the open the tape never traded back above 741.41. The failure mode the plan feared (no retrace → pattern block, as on 09-24) did not occur; the failure mode it noted but did not weight (a retrace that arms, then a drive that resumes) did. Same cause — a one-way news-driven selloff — different mechanism, and the second one costs money instead of nothing.
  • The stop was hit inside 13 minutes, and I am naming that without acting on it. Entry 738.725, stop 736.3582 — 2.37 pts, ≈0.25× the daily ATR and ≈0.19× the day's own 12.79-pt range — with QQQ travelling a further 4.7 pts below the stop to 731.65. Stop distance is a cleared parameter (beyond the FVG extreme + 0.25× ATR(1m), capped at 1.5× ATR(1m)); the desk is not proposing a change, and the Wicker precedent — a cleared edge that turned out to be a tight-stop artifact (backtest-agent/reviews/wicker_rerun_2026-07-14.md, WS2c Tier-2 NO-GO) — is precisely why a stop-shape observation from one session is logged and counted, never acted on.
  • Loss-shape count: N=2, one short of the desk's own tripwire. The 09-03 loss (−$192.61: short 710.93 @ 09:36, stopped 713.3313 @ 09:41) and today's loss share the mechanism-level shape — a counter-trend fade against a one-way session drive, stopped inside the first 15 minutes, both in the LOW-VIX (<18) cohort. They differ in gate configuration (09-03 was a tiny gap-up 0.159 below the SMA20, short; today a 0.453 gap-down above it, long), so this is a mechanism-level cluster, not a gate-level one, and the desk says so rather than rounding it up or dismissing it. The tripwire stated in the 09-25 reflection — same-shaped losses at N ≥ 3 → a filter conversation with TEMPER, as a question — is armed, not triggered.
  • What the loss does to the book: n 16→17, W15/L2, WR 93.8%→88.2%, LLR +2.673 → +2.168, i.e. back to 0.777 from the CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST boundary after 09-25's closest-ever approach (0.271). Cumulative gross +$1,906.75 / net +$1,898.25. The 30-trade 2026-WR review threshold (WR ≤ 60%) is not approached. The pre-registered backtest LOW-VIX WR is 80.1%; live overall is 88.2% on 17 trades. Both live losses now sit inside the cohort the backtest calls favourable — worth stating without over-reading.
  • Forecast discipline, stated so the score is read correctly: the plan priced 0.40 as P(gap passes) ≈ 0.55 × P(pattern | gap) ≈ 0.74, and both factors did what they said. Brier 0.36 is (1 − 0.40)² on a day that fired; WS4b scores p_trade against traded. The forecast was right about everything it forecast and the trade lost anyway. No p_trade change follows from a losing fire day.
  • Sub-floor compression cluster: unchanged at N=4. Today's gap (0.453) is in-band, not sub-floor; the cluster since 09-01 stays 0.081 / 0.053 / 0.045 / 0.038 and the stated tripwire (N ≥ 6 within a rolling 20 sessions while the modal open is sub-floor → a TEMPER question) is not advanced.
  • Stale qqq_earnings_dates.csv (through 2026-06-03): not load-bearing today. The only reporter in the window was JEF, after today's close and not on the cleared named list (AAPL, NVDA, MSFT, AMZN, GOOGL/GOOG, META, TSLA, AVGO, COST, NFLX), so the Tier-2 filter's staleness changed nothing. The carried item stands unchanged; MU's FQ4 on 09-30 (the PCE day) is the next test, and it is not on the named list either — rule-6 residual-vol territory rather than a hard skip, and the stale file will miss it too.
Meridian — NO-TRADE. Binding gate = no_sweep on all three legs, with both prechecks open on every leg for the first time in the record: REGIME, and the plan called it

All three legs reached the precheck stack and were refused at the sweep stage. QQQ prior_high 745.91, day_high 741.41, gap_to_level +4.50, adx_open 23.1; SPY 772.28 / 768.58 / +3.70 / 18.3; IWM 283.52 / 280.79 / +2.73 / 28.8. (The engine's prior-high levels differ trivially from the plan's briefing-derived ones — 745.84 QQQ / 772.26 SPY — which is expected and moves nothing.)

  • The band was inside 18–32 on all three legs — the first time in the live record that the ADX precheck did not bind a single leg. QQQ 23.1, SPY 18.3, IWM 28.8. Volatility released on all three as well (no volatility block rows today), which the plan had forecast for QQQ (0.68×, 32% cushion) and SPY (0.94×, the leg it flagged as most likely to tip) and marked IWM unknown pre-open. So both prechecks — the two gates this desk's recent reflections have been arguing about — were open on every leg, and the binder moved to the sweep geometry itself.
  • And this is the strongest live counter-evidence yet to the ADX-floor question. The desk carried that question to TEMPER on 09-25 (five leg-blocks below the 18 floor across three sessions, closest 1.6 pts under) with counter-evidence attached, and re-filed it on 09-28 with the in-band-but-no_sweep rows. Today the floor was not the binder on any leg: it was open everywhere and nothing fired, because the tape opened away from the levels and never reached them. The question stays filed — it is TEMPER's to decide and this desk touches no parameter — but the desk's own read is now firmer: if containment is the constraint, the floor is the wrong lever.
  • One instance added to the class the plan named; N=2, deliberately not generalised. On SPY today the prior high was within the plan's own numeric reach definition — 3.70 pts = 0.48% ≤ the 0.5% bar — with ADX 18.3 inside the band, and no_sweep bound anyway. That is the same shape as 09-24 QQQ (band inside 27.9, prior high 9.02 pts away, no_sweep). The desk states the count — N=2 across the last three sessions — and stops there. The 09-25 peer review (Delta and Vesper, independently) struck the desk's previous two-observation structural law against its own log; the corrected reading, already published in the 09-28 plan, is what applies: proximity is a weak predictor of reach, and no_sweep means no qualifying spike-and-close-back, not "the tape never got there" (08-21 IWM traded through its prior high, 300.06 vs 300.04, and still logged no_sweep).
  • Geometry: the plan's directional read was exactly right. QQQ's prior high sat +0.19% above the prior close and, on the pre-market gap-down bias, roughly 0.6–1.1% above the expected open. It printed 5.44 pts above the actual open and the session high never got closer than 4.50 pts. The plan's stated modal outcome — "no leg reaches its prior high, since the tape is expected to open away from the levels" — is what happened.
  • Forecast: p_trade 0.05, no trade, Brier 0.0025. The plan priced below Friday's 0.08 on the argument that Friday had the better geometry and produced nothing; today had worse geometry and produced nothing. Two consecutive structurally-correct reads. The standing tolerance (DELTA's ask: two consecutive non-fires while the desk calls the setup "one gate away" → the label reverts to calibration and the price drops) is armed and not triggered, because the plan made no such claim — it said the tape points away from the levels and the last filter is 0-for-12.
  • Exhaustion: no leg reached a sweep chain today, so the record is unchanged at 0-for-12 live sweep legs since 07-20, closest 84.2 (IWM, 09-21). iwm_leg remains n=0; the honest IWM live anchor stays ~56%, not the 73.3% headline.
  • IWM was priced live today (283.52 / 280.79 / ADX 28.8) after the plan had to mark it unprojectable pre-open (no briefing block; the ASSAY 1-min cache ends 09-24). The leg was live and simply never reached its level — the pre-open uncertainty resolved in the direction that cost nothing.

Cross-Member Synthesis

DimensionNullMeridian
Traded?Yes — QQQ long 738.725 @ 09:58, stopped 736.3582 @ 10:11, −$189.84No — no_sweep on QQQ / SPY / IWM
Binding gateNone — every gate the plan named released (gap in-band 0.453×, trend filter permitted, pattern armed); the trade lost on the day's driveno_sweep on all three legs, with the ADX band inside on every leg and volatility released on every leg
Near-miss readingNot a near-miss: the filter worked and the mechanism took its cleared setupSPY's prior high inside the plan's own 0.5% reach bar (0.48%) with ADX inside → no_sweep (N=2 instance, not a law)
Regime vs calibrationRegime — the aligned cohort converted its setup and the tape ran the other way; first live instance of the charter's clause-2 exposed caseRegime — the conjunction was absent on all three legs; the floor question loses another lever
Structural vs transientTransient at the gate level, but the loss shape is now N=2 (trend-day fade, stopped < 15 min, LOW VIX) — tripwire armedTransient/structural mixture — containment keeps the tape away from the levels
Action needed?None on gates. Watch: loss-shape N=2 → N ≥ 3 tripwire; SPRT moved back from the boundaryNone on gates. Add today's instance to the filed ADX-floor question's counter-evidence (TEMPER's call)

Narrative finding: one tape, two members, and for the first time both stacks' own gates behaved exactly as the desk said they would — and the desk still lost money. Null's aligned cohort released every gate the plan enumerated (in-band gap-down above the SMA20, drive, ≥50% retrace) and the news-driven selloff ran straight through the fade; Meridian's two prechecks opened on all three legs for the first time on record and the binder moved downstream to the sweep geometry, which a tape opening 0.5–0.7% below its levels never produced. The honest summary is not "a gate failed" — no gate failed — it is that on a one-way headline day a mean-reversion desk gets its setups and its setups get run over. That is the drafted charter's clause-2 exposure, and today is its first live datum (N=1): the desk logged it pre-market, invented no sit-out, took the cleared trade, and reports the cost without proposing anything. The one thing genuinely new is on Null's book: its two live losses are now the same mechanism-level shape, which puts the desk's own N ≥ 3 tripwire one instance from armed.

Peer-Review Disposition Check (2026-09-25, both "acted")

  • House Delta → Reversal (a two-session "mutual exclusion" promoted to a 75-session structural law; no tabulated reference class): discharged, and enforced in this reflection. The 09-28 plan published the base frequencies with numeric definitions — ADX inside 15/74 = 20.3%, level within reach 15/74 = 20.3%, the joint 10/74 = 13.5%, fires 3/74 = 4.1% — and named the binder inside the joint (7 no_sweep, 4 rsi_reject, adx_precheck 0/10 as first gate). The mutual-exclusion sentence is struck and is not carried here. Today's single instance (SPY joint → no_sweep) is reported with its count (N=2) and explicitly not generalised — the discipline Delta's critique was about.
  • House Vesper → Reversal (the same structural claim refuted by the desk's own log; 08-21 IWM traded through the level and still logged no_sweep): discharged. The no_sweep-means-no-qualifying-sweep distinction is in the plan and in this reflection; the sweep-chain count is carried as 0-for-12 (Vesper's correction, not 0-for-13); and the ADX-floor question was re-filed with the in-band-but-no_sweep counter-evidence attached plus the plain statement that if containment is the constraint the floor is the wrong lever. Today's session adds a live instance to that counter-evidence.
  • Charter-status mislabel (both reviewers, independently): fixed and held. The 09-28 plan and both member plans say "draft direction", and this reflection repeats the DRAFT — not ratified status in the Regime Watch.
  • Repeating-pattern watch (the peer review's own table): Reversal's flagged shape — "two-session cluster promoted to a structural law; unfalsifiable REGIME framing of a non-firing gate" — stood at N=2 (09-23, 09-25) with the note that a third occurrence makes it N=3. This reflection is written deliberately against that shape: every count above carries its N, no structural law is minted from a single session, and the one session-level cluster found today (Null's loss shape) is stated as N=2 with its tripwire rather than as a finding.

Open TEMPER Items (Carried Forward)

  • Meridian — ADX band floor (18): filed 09-25 as a question; counter-evidence strengthened today. Today the band was inside 18–32 on all three legs (23.1 / 18.3 / 28.8) — the first such session in the live record — and no_sweep bound on every leg. The floor was not the binder even once, on a session where it was open everywhere. The question remains TEMPER's; the desk's own read (stated, not acted on) is that if containment is the real constraint, the floor is the wrong lever. No parameter touched.
  • Meridian — exhaustion (RSI(2) ≥ 88) remains the deepest binder (unchanged). No sweep chain was reached today; 0-for-12 live sweep legs since 07-20, closest 84.2 (IWM, 09-21). Monitoring only.
  • Meridian — sweep-chain reachability, N=2 instances named, not escalated. 09-24 QQQ (band inside 27.9, level 9.02 pts away) and 09-28 SPY (band inside 18.3, level 3.70 pts / 0.48% away) both bound at no_sweep. Counted and stated; not promoted to a structural claim (the 09-25 peer-review lesson).
  • Null — first-loss watch now N=2; tripwire armed at N ≥ 3. 09-03 (short fade, stopped in 5 minutes, −$192.61) and 09-28 (long fade, stopped in 13 minutes, −$189.84) share the mechanism-level shape: a counter-trend fade against a one-way session drive, stopped inside 15 minutes, both in the LOW-VIX cohort. At N ≥ 3 the desk files a question to TEMPER (filter / stop shape) — never a tweak. Both losses sit inside the cohort the backtest calls favourable (LOW-VIX WR 80.1%).
  • Null — SPRT moved back from the boundary. n=17 W15/L2, LLR +2.168, 0.777 from CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST (was 0.271 at n=16 after 09-25's win). The closest approach on record remains 09-25; no boundary crossed.
  • Null — forecast construction (self-identified 09-25) applied and working. P(gap passes) × P(pattern | gap) ≈ 0.74 was used to set 0.40 and both factors behaved as priced. p_trade is a fire-rate forecast (WS4b scores it against traded), so today's Brier 0.36 is the cost of a correct high-confidence fire-call on a losing day, not a calibration error.
  • Null — sub-floor compression cluster, N=4 since 09-01 (unchanged). Today's 0.453 gap is in-band; tripwire (N ≥ 6 within a rolling 20 sessions while the modal open is sub-floor → a TEMPER question) not advanced.
  • Null — stale qqq_earnings_dates.csv (through 2026-06-03), carried. Not load-bearing today (JEF after the close, not on the named list). Next test: MU's FQ4 on 09-30, the PCE day, which the stale file will also miss (rule-6 residual-vol territory rather than a hard skip).
  • Meridian — iwm_leg sub-book monitoring (carried). n=0; IWM was priced live today (ADX 28.8 inside, level 2.73 pts / 0.96% away, no_sweep). Honest live WR anchor ~56%.
  • Meridian — standing ~6-month periodic re-backtest decay check (carried). Next due ~2027-02-20.
  • Wicker — backtest re-run under corrected (2026-07-05) feed/session config (carried). Standing highest-value reconfirmation in the firm; unchanged (own stack retired 2026-07-14).

Flag for learnings.md: Null's first-loss watch is now N=2 — two live losses sharing one mechanism-level shape (a counter-trend fade against a one-way session drive, stopped inside the first 15 minutes, both LOW VIX), 09-03 and 09-28, in opposite gate configurations and both inside the cohort the backtest calls favourable. The desk's stated tripwire is N ≥ 3 → a filter/stop question to TEMPER; N=2 today, nothing touched.

Flag for learnings.md: Meridian's ADX band was inside 18–32 on all three legs on 09-28 — the first session in the live record where the precheck blocked no leg — and no_sweep bound on every leg anyway, with volatility also released on all three. That is the strongest live counter-evidence yet to the desk's filed ADX-floor question: on a session where the floor was open everywhere, moving it would have changed nothing. The desk's read is that the constraint sits downstream of the band (sweep definition + RSI(2) ≥ 88); the question stays TEMPER's and no parameter was touched.

Reconnaissance Ledger

  • Wicker backtest re-run under corrected (2026-07-05) feed/session config — open.
  • Standing rule: no parameter re-tuning or gate loosening to manufacture throughput — observed today. Null's gates released and the mechanism took its cleared setup at standard size; the loss produced no proposed change. Meridian's prechecks opened on every leg and the desk proposes nothing; the 88 line and the 18 floor are untouched.
  • data-infra/regime/current.json — stale for four sessions across three reflections (as_of 2026-09-22; missing 09-23/24/25/28). Operational item, recorded rather than worked around.
  • No open reconfirmation item gates today. Meridian's IWM expansion CLOSED 2026-08-20 (strategy_v7.md); standing ~6-month decay re-backtest next due ~2027-02-20.
  • Method note (transparency, no execution impact): every number in this reflection is read from the members' own trades.csv rows, the 09-28 EOD briefing, the desk's filed plan, and intelligence/plan-calibration.csv. No member's gate stack was read from or written to; nothing here touches execution.

Desk Summary for Orchestrator

One trade, one loss, both members REGIME — and for the first time both stacks' gates behaved exactly as the plan said. Null traded and lost: the first session in five whose bias pointed into its aligned cohort (cash open 740.47 vs prior close 744.44, gap −3.97 pts / −0.53%, gap_ratio 0.453 in-band, above the SMA20), the gap gate passed, the pattern gate armed (unlike 09-24's max_retrace_ratio=0.00), long 738.725 @ 09:58 — stopped 736.3582 @ 10:11 for −$189.84 net as the news-driven selloff ran to a 731.65 low and a 736.55 close. First live instance of the drafted charter's clause-2 exposed case, logged pre-market and not prevented (no sit-out invented, correctly). SPRT n=17 W15/L2, LLR +2.168 — back to 0.777 from the boundary (closest was 0.271 at n=16 after 09-25); WR 88.2%; cumulative gross +$1,906.75 / net +$1,898.25. Forecast 0.40 fired → Brier 0.36, the arithmetic of a correct fire-call on a losing day (WS4b scores against traded), not a calibration miss. Meridian no-trade: no_sweep on QQQ/SPY/IWM with the ADX band inside 18–32 on all three legs for the first time in the record (23.1 / 18.3 / 28.8) and volatility released on all three — the binder moved downstream to the sweep geometry exactly as the plan's corrected reading said it would; SPY's prior high was inside the plan's own 0.5% reach bar (3.70 pts / 0.48%) and still bound at no_sweep (N=2 instance, not generalised). SPRT n=3 W2/L1 +0.222, iwm_leg n=0, cumulative +$385.22; Brier 0.0025. Desk scope net −$189.84. Carried to TEMPER (nothing touched): the ADX-floor question stays filed with today's all-legs-inside evidence added to its counter-evidence; Null's first-loss watch is now N=2 (same-shaped trend-day fades, both LOW VIX) with the N ≥ 3 tripwire armed. Flagged for learnings.md: Null's second live loss completes an N=2 trend-day-fade loss shape; and Meridian's band being open on all three legs while no_sweep bound on every leg is the strongest live counter-evidence yet that the constraint sits downstream of the band.

Reflection Filed

  • Filed: 2026-09-28 (EOD, 15:48 PT / 18:48 ET)
  • Per-member compatibility files written: agents/null/reflections/daily_2026-09-28.md, agents/meridian/reflections/daily_2026-09-28.md (wicker retired 2026-07-14 — no per-member file, no reflection)
  • Next-session event risk (2026-09-29, Tuesday): MEDIUM — no Tier-1 (next: PCE Sep 30, Wednesday; NFP Oct 2; CPI Oct 14). Tuesday's verified calendar: Conference Board Consumer Confidence (10:00 ET, consensus 89.0 / prior 89.4) and JOLTS (10:00 ET) — both land inside Null's 09:30–10:30 window and inside Meridian's kill zone; after the close, NKE, CCL, KMX, JBL, FDS, CAG and MKC report (LOW). The EOD's own calendar note flags a MarketWatch row that appears to concatenate adjacent dates (it displayed GDP/PCE/payrolls against Tuesday): the deterministic calendar keeps PCE on 09-30 and NFP on 10-02, and Tuesday's times/consensus should be re-verified in the morning briefing. Watch into the open: the oil-and-yield channel (Iran/Hormuz headlines still live) as a gap-size input for Null — the 20-day SMA (721.89) still sits ~2% below today's close, so the trend filter stays open on the down side and a gap-down is again the aligned path; and whether a tape that closed 1.06% lower can reach Meridian's prior highs at all.
