Desk Plan — House Mneme — 2026-09-28

Briefing reference: /Users/dadbot/Desktop/ClaudeBod/projects/dadbrain/Analysis/briefings/2026-09-28-pm.md PM: MNEME (independent read of my own desk; D3 superseded 2026-09-23 — this is House Mneme's own opinion. GHOST stays frozen, no plan)

Regime Watch

data-infra/regime/current.json (read 2026-09-28, status: ok): as_of 2026-09-22 — SPY day flat (open-to-close −0.08%), above 50d, drawdown bucket <2% (−0.58%), VIX 14.21 LOW (<18). The file now lags the live tape by four sessions (09-23, 09-24, 09-25 and today are not folded in). Not unavailable — the tags it carries are the same shape as the live tape — but named honestly as four sessions behind.

Charter status, stated correctly: DRAFT — not ratified (desks/house-mneme/CLAUDE.md). This line previously called the charter "ratified" — the 2026-09-25 peer review (House Slack → House Mneme) flagged that mislabel and the disposition accepted it; corrected here and it will stay corrected. A consistency verdict is therefore against draft text, not a ratified constraint.

Draft-charter consistency: consistent on substance — no risk-off tag active, but this is the first session of the run with the tape leaning toward the hostile side. My persistence rule counts a shift persistent only when at least one risk-off tag — SPY below 50d / drawdown ≥2% / VIX >18 — holds 5 consecutive sessions. None holds, and none is close (1 of 5 at most).

Two indicators are moving, and I name both:

  1. VIX jumped one full step in a session: 14.87 → 16.40 (+1.53), first move up of the run. Still squarely inside LOW (<18) — the tag is not active and 16.40 is 1.6 points short of the >18 trigger — but this is the first session since 09-23 that the drift is risk-off rather than risk-on, and it is one session, not five. VIX is not a gate input for either stack — it neither blocks nor licenses (correction carried from my 09-23 disposition: I do not cite the VIX<20 bucket as a tailwind or as a "best" bucket again; MNEME's VIX<20 record is PF 2.39 / N=197, my most-traded LOW bucket, with WR 37.6% — my weakest inferential WR — while MID 20–30 is the strongest at PF 3.54 / N=100 / WR 49.0%).
  2. The spy_vs_sma50 cushion is the tag most likely to move, and a gap-down tests it. SPY closed 771.35, only +0.79% above SMA20 765.34 and +0.61% above the prior-range low 766.32. A ~−0.4/−0.5% gap-down open lands SPY in that 765.3–766.3 zone — the thinnest hold of the run, on the first genuinely risk-off print of the week.

Own charter monitor (non-tag), named as required: the always-long baseline gap. As of the 09-25 books: MNEME baseline 48 trades / +$1,378.10 vs real +$998.25; TRACE baseline 37 trades / +$813.75 vs real −$346.92. The gap is now persistent across the stretch and is the Family 5 monitor the charter says to watch. The pre-registered escalation needs the baseline to match or exceed the stack's rolling PF at two consecutive monthly checkpoints — the September Desk Review (window through 09-05) did not escalate and this is not a second checkpoint — so nothing is filed; named for the October review. Gate-clear rate and the two rolling-PF windows (MNEME 15-trade, TRACE 20-trade) are unchanged and quiet.

Today's plan is consistent with the draft charter's stated behaviour in a selloff — item 2, verbatim: "a selloff means either the gates do not clear (I sit out that day) or I take a long that gets stopped." That is exactly the two-branch plan below, and it is a statement of what the charter already says I do, not a posture change. Watch and report only — a persistent shift goes to Desk Review as a recalibration / sit-out / new-mechanism proposal; I never change posture on a regime signal myself.

Shared Market Read

  • Event risk today: HIGH — the week opened on a headline that broke the relief case. Weekend diplomacy went against the market: President Trump rejected Iran's seven-day proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and crude rebounded as the odds of near-term de-escalation were marked down. No scheduled Tier-1 today (next PCE Sep 30, 2 days; then NFP Oct 2, 4 days), so this is a pure headline/geopolitical clock, not a scheduled binary — the briefing's own instruction is to "treat the open as headline-sensitive" and "not pre-assign the session's direction or tier polarity on this policy/geo coin-flip." Scheduled today: 10:30 ET Dallas Fed Texas Manufacturing Outlook (Sep) prior 11.6, consensus unconfirmed, LOW. Firm-wide status GO; neither active member hard-skips (blackout = FOMC/CPI/NFP/PCE only — today is none of them, and PCE's proximity to Wednesday does not make today a skip).
  • Session character expected: News-driven, gap-down bias, potentially two-tier — direction explicitly not assigned. The overnight cross is broad risk-off: oil and long-end yields up, Asian equities lower, Europe mixed-to-firmer with defensives/energy outperforming, dollar stronger, gold weaker. The visible weak leg is rate-sensitive growth (QQQ/Nasdaq), with global coverage describing a smaller futures decline for the broad S&P than for Nasdaq. I do not promote that pre-open polarity into a base case, and per my standing forecast-discipline rule (adopted after 09-24's inversion and validated 09-25) the pre-market cross-index read is a tape fact, never a p_trade input.
  • VIX regime: 16.40 — LOW (<18), up +1.53 from the 14.87 close. Named as a level, not as reassurance: VIX is not a gate input for either stack; structure quality is. (MNEME VIX<20 PF 2.39 / N=197 is the most-traded LOW bucket, not the best; MID is stronger — see Regime Watch.)
  • Key levels: SPY prior close 771.35; prior-day range 766.32 – 772.26 (5.94 pts = 0.87× ATR(14) 6.83); SMA20 765.34 (+0.79% above). A gap-down of the size the pre-market snaphots imply (−0.4% to −0.5%; not authoritative, IEX pre-market is thin and no print was confirmed in the briefing) opens SPY into the 765.3–766.3 zone — i.e. onto the prior-range low and the SMA20 support shelf, which is the level that decides the session. ATR 6.83 → a 1.5× ATR stop is ≈ 10.2 index points. QQQ prior close 744.44, range 739.67 – 745.84, SMA20 720.88 (well above), ATR(14) 9.44 — the rate-sensitive leg the overnight tape names weakest. DIA is not in the briefing's price block; TRACE reads it off its own path and flags the print as unverified (proxy closer: 09-25 baseline hard-flat 517.62, 09-25 entry 514.89, 09-24 baseline base 510.94).
  • Macro backdrop: the oil-supply shock and the long-end yield repricing — both of which had eased into Friday — re-armed over the weekend on the rejected Hormuz proposal, into a week whose near-term binary (PCE Sep 30) sits two sessions away.
The desk-level read — the honest call is a discounted base rate, not a hedge, and not a streak

Both active members are long-only, intraday, flat at the close. Today's shape is the hostile side of the draft charter: a headline-driven, risk-off, gap-down open with the weak leg being rate-sensitive growth and VIX one step higher. My charter item 2 says this plainly — in a selloff I either sit out (gates don't clear) or take a long that gets stopped. So the plan cannot be a bullish call; the question is only how much below the measured base rate to print, and the answer has to come from a statistic, not a feeling.

Base rate, computed from the actual logs (not cited from memory): over the last 22 eligible sessions for MNEME (08-20 → 09-25) the stack fired 8 times = 36.4%; over the last 16 eligible sessions for TRACE (same window) it fired 6 times = 37.5%. Restricted to sessions since TRACE's 09-05 SIP same-day fix (so its data-density problem is out of the sample): MNEME 4/12 = 33.3%, TRACE 5/12 = 41.7%. Pooled, the desk's recent eligible-fire rate sits in a ~34–38% band.

What I am explicitly not doing, per the 2026-09-25 peer review (three dispositions, all acted — and the desk's own "gate-clearance frequency as conditioning evidence" shape is now at N=2, one short of the N≥3 bar, so a third instance would make it a pattern):

  1. Not printing a per-stack spread. I withdrew the NEW per-stack p_trade anchor item on 09-25 — the 33.3% / 44.4% spread was a single session's split of a tie my own plan had just reported as a tie (both stacks 3/8 = 37.5% over the prior eight eligible), and adopting it would have raised the fire probability of the stack that clears most often in the window where firing is the problem. Today prices one shared anchor. If I ever want a per-stack split it gets re-filed pre-registered (stated N, stated window, stated statistic) or dropped.
  2. Not treating a run of gate clears as a signal. No "conditioning evidence" framing; today's number is anchored to a measured frequency and a tape shape, nothing else.
  3. Not citing VIX as a tailwind, and not calling it "best." (See Regime Watch.)

Net: the shape argues down, modestly, from the ~36% pooled rate — but not hard, because on the two closest analogues of this exact tape (09-23 and 09-24, both down-gap, headline-capped opens) the desk still produced 1 fire in 4 stack-days, i.e. the beat was not suppressed to zero. Printed: mneme 0.35 / trace 0.35, both long, both conviction low — a genuine discount on the pooled rate for HIGH event risk and a hostile open, deliberately not a 0.5-on-everything hedge and deliberately not re-tuned off the 09-25 miss. A same-day co-fire counts as one clustered observation for Family 5.

MNEME — SPY KNN (p_trade 0.35, long, low)

Live, eligible, no hard skip — but this is the wrong side of my own charter, and I am printing below base rate rather than dressing the shape up. No hard skip (blackout = FOMC/CPI/NFP/PCE; today is none, PCE is Wednesday); VIX 16.40 LOW is a level, not a licence. Setup present: possible, below base rate. My binding gate is the vote (≥62%), not similarity, and that is the recurring shape of my near-misses (09-23: vote 47% in all three windows against 62% with max_sim clearing 0.50 comfortably at 0.911/0.683/0.644; 09-25: A 40%, B 53%, C 60%, similarity clearing everywhere at 0.794/0.503/0.663). Two corrections I carry into today and will not blur: "similarity never binds me" is a binding claim, not a margin claim — on 09-25 Window B cleared its 0.50 floor by 0.003, so the vote binding does not mean similarity was comfortable. And a down-gap open does not automatically suppress the vote: it can read as a decisive down-resolution (no long) or, if the gap is bought, as a decisive up-resolution (long). I do not know which, and I am not claiming to.

Why 0.35 and not the ~0.45 I printed on 09-25: the 09-25 print was made on the favorable side of the charter (orderly, LOW-VIX, modestly-higher open, no scheduled binary) and the desk booked it as an overshoot (0.45 → no fire → Brier 0.2025 against a realized 3/9). Today is the inverse shape — headline risk-off, gap-down, HIGH event, VIX up a step — which is the side of the charter where my mechanism either sits out or gets stopped. So today's discount is the mirror image of the 09-25 raise, on the same principle: anchor to a measured base rate and one tape-shape adjustment, never to a streak. Conviction: low — the honest level when the number is a discounted base rate and the shape is hostile.

  • Window A (observe 9:30–10:00, enter 10:00, hard flat 12:00): A's whole 30-minute observation sits on a gapped-down, headline-driven open — the least settled structure of the three. 10:30 ET Dallas Fed Texas Mfg (LOW) lands inside A's execution window (10:00–12:00). Live A is 5W/5L (10 fires) — not a window I lean on.
  • Window B (anchor, observe 10:00–12:00, enter 12:00, hard flat 16:00; holdout PF 3.76): the window I want, and the format that carried 2 of my last 4 fires (09-18 vote 80% → HARD_FLAT +$5.39; 09-22 vote 66.7% → HARD_FLAT +$55.78). B observes the post-open tape — after the gap either extends or reverses — and the 10:30 Dallas Fed print lands at the start of B's observation, not inside its entry, with the 12:00–16:00 hold carrying no scheduled event. On a gap-down headline day the post-open structure is the honest read, and that is B's format. Live B 4W/4L (8).
  • Window C (flagged, holdout PF 1.25): observes 12:00–14:00, executes 14:00–15:30 — a catalyst-free Monday afternoon and my weakest holdout record. Extra scrutiny as always; suspension rule unchanged (rolling 15-trade PF < 1.2). Live C 4W/4L (8).

Sizing: standard 0.75% ($187.50 on $25K), max $75K notional — no adjustment. HIGH event risk here is an un-timeable geopolitical headline, not a scheduled binary inside my windows, and the only scheduled print (10:30 Dallas Fed, LOW impact) is too minor to size around. There is no event-risk reduction to make and no reason to inflate either. One position, strongest vote wins.

Key levels: SPY 771.35 prior close; prior range 766.32 – 772.26; SMA20 765.34 (+0.79%). The gap-down zone 765.3–766.3 is the level that decides the session: holding 766.32 / 765.34 keeps a containment structure under the vote; a decisive break of 765.34 with rate-sensitive growth (QQQ) leading lower is the trend-down tape where longs get stopped, not faded. ATR(14) 6.83 → 1.5× ATR stop ≈ 10.2 points.

Invalidation: SPY gaps >1.5% at the open → stand down entirely. SPY breaks and holds below SMA20 765.34 with QQQ underperforming → stand down entirely (named as a change, not an already-true level — SPY is 0.79% above SMA20 at the prior close, so a break is a change; this is the same fix the 09-24 reflection made and that behaved on 09-25). A further Iran/Hormuz headline either way → no discretionary action; the gates decide and I stand down only on the two hard conditions above. No gate is amended; v5's parameter set (K=15, max_sim ≥ 0.50, vote ≥ 62%) is untouched and stays live. SPRT CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST, sticky, LLR +4.802 (n=26, WR 50.0%, cumulative +$998.25) — no session since 09-25, so unchanged; nothing to escalate.

TRACE — DIA KNN (p_trade 0.35, long, low)

Live, eligible, no hard skip — priced off the same shared anchor as MNEME, not off its own recent 5/12. No hard skip (today is not FOMC/CPI/NFP/PCE); the 09-05 SIP same-day fix keeps full three-window reads. Setup present: possible, below base rate. My gate is a joint of two hard conditions — max_sim ≥ 0.60 and vote ≥ 62% (K=10, DIA) — and the two have bound in different windows on the last few sessions (09-23 the similarity gate in Window B: vote 70% cleared, max_sim 0.519 vs 0.60; 09-24 the vote gate in Window A: 60% vs 62%, a 2-point graze). A higher joint-clear bar is a genuine mechanical reason a given session clears less often; it is not the withdrawn per-stack base-rate item, and I do not re-file that here.

The 0.35 is a shared-anchor print, stated plainly, because the peer review demanded it. My realized eligible-fire rate is 6/16 = 37.5% over 08-20 → 09-25 (5/12 = 41.7% on the post-09-05-fix subsample), which is at or above MNEME's — so I do not print below MNEME on frequency grounds. The desk's 09-25 disposition established that a fire rate is gate-clearance frequency, not outcome, and that I will not import a quality judgement into a frequency number. So both stacks print the same 0.35, discounted from the pooled ~36% for today's hostile shape. Conviction: low, held there deliberately: per the 09-25 peer review I hold it low for as long as I cannot cite evidence beyond base rate and gate clearance for a higher call — today I cannot. (Conviction is my daily judgment, not a pre-committed cap tied to the SPRT clock.)

What I am explicitly not using today: the pre-market index-relative read. The overnight tape names Nasdaq the weakest leg and the Dow futures decline smaller than the S&P's; if anything the cross points toward DIA's relative firmness, and on 09-24 exactly that reasoning inverted (Dow was the weakest major) and on 09-25 the refusal to price it was vindicated. It is recorded as a tape fact and kept out of the forecast — standing forecast-discipline rule for this stack.

  • Window A (observe 9:30–10:00, enter 10:00, hard flat 12:00): where I have fired most (10 of 13 live fires), and the window with the worst live record — 2W/8L on 10 fires, all 8 losses stop-outs, the latest a same-bar stop on 09-25 (entry 514.89 @10:00, exit 514.89 @10:00, $0.00) on a day the Dow then rose (own baseline Window B +$270.51). A's observation sits on the gapped-down open and its execution window contains the 10:30 Dallas Fed (LOW). The laggard-leg stop-out is the modal path here and it is sized by design, not by headline.
  • Window B (observe 10:00–12:00, enter 12:00, hard flat 16:00) / Window C (observe 12:00–14:00, enter 14:00, hard flat 15:30; rolling 20-trade PF < 1.2 suspension rule): equally welcome on a genuine joint clear of a post-open tape. B's observation opens on the Dallas Fed print; C's execution is a catalyst-free Monday afternoon. Live B 0W/1L, C 0W/2L — extra scrutiny on C as always.

Sizing: standard 0.75% ($187.50 on $25K), max $75K notional — no adjustment. The DEGRADED clock is explicitly not a sizing or gating input; I size by design, not by headline or by the clock.

Key levels: DIA is not in the briefing's price block — these are off my own path, not verified prints, and I say so. Best proxies: 09-25 baseline hard-flat 517.62 (≈ Friday's close), 09-25 entry 514.89, 09-24 baseline base 510.94. The ~510–511 area (09-24's own base) is the level that must hold to keep a bid under the leg; a decisive break of it with the Dow's rate-sensitives leading lower is the value-leg fade tape where my longs stop out. Internal tell: DIA's energy members (oil is up on the Hormuz headline) versus the Dow's rate-sensitives — I name it as a tape fact, not a p_trade input, so I can check afterwards whether it carried any information.

Invalidation: DIA gaps >1.5% at the open → stand down entirely. DIA breaks and holds below the ~510–511 base with the Dow's rate-sensitives leading lower → stand down entirely (named as a change, not a level already true). A further Iran/Hormuz headline either way → no discretionary action; the gates decide. No gate is amended; v2's parameter set (K=10, max_sim ≥ 0.60, vote ≥ 62%) is untouched and stays live. SPRT CONTINUE, LLR −2.346 (n=13, WR 15.4%, 2W/11L, −$346.92), 0.598 from the −2.944 DEGRADED boundary (was 0.952) — the thinnest since the 09-18 escalation, but the boundary is not crossed and the 09-18 protocol is not re-triggered. The standing item I carry to TEMPER remains a session-character / cross-index-leadership filter for Window A — proposed, never executed.

Pooled note (Family 5)

Both active members are LIVE and eligible on a firm-wide GO day (no hard skip; no Tier-1 today; PCE 09-30 two sessions away). This is the hostile side of the draft charter — headline-driven risk-off, gap-down, rate-sensitive growth the weak leg, VIX 16.40 up a step but still LOW. The plan is a discounted base rate, not a hedge and not a streak read: measured eligible-fire rates MNEME 8/22 = 36.4% and TRACE 6/16 = 37.5% over 08-20 → 09-25 (post-09-05-fix subsets 33.3% / 41.7%), pooled ~34–38%; today printed 0.35 / 0.35, both long, both conviction low, off one shared anchor — the per-stack anchor item was withdrawn on 09-25 and is not re-filed here. Both member sections stay clear of the four peer-review dispositions (no per-stack spread; no gate-clear-streak conditioning; no VIX-as-tailwind or VIX-as-"best"; no N=1 validation claim) and both state the charter status as DRAFT — not ratified. A same-day co-fire counts as one clustered observation. Monitoring clocks (unchanged since 09-25, no session between): MNEME SPRT CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST (n=26, LLR +4.802, +$998.25); TRACE SPRT CONTINUE (n=13, LLR −2.346, 0.598 from DEGRADED, −$346.92). Watch item named under Regime Watch: the always-long baseline gap (MNEME baseline 48 tr / +$1,378.10 vs real +$998.25; TRACE baseline 37 tr / +$813.75 vs real −$346.92) — carried, named for the October review, nothing filed (not a second checkpoint). Operational: TRACE's 09-25 daily artifact was lost to the 60s per-agent watchdog and backfilled (runner-health-2026-09-25.md, failed_or_timeout) — the second consecutive REVIEW day on the Mneme side; signal data is real but a missing artifact must not be read as a quiet no-setup state. GHOST stays frozen (Phase 2, Decision D2) — no plan, no forecast, no member file. Next Tier-1: PCE Sep 30.

House Mneme Desk Reflection — 2026-09-28

Plan reference: desks/house-mneme/plans/2026-09-28-plan.md (also agents/mneme/plans/2026-09-28-plan.md, agents/trace/plans/2026-09-28-plan.md) EOD briefing: /Users/dadbot/Desktop/ClaudeBod/projects/dadbrain/Analysis/briefings/2026-09-28-eod.md

Cadence Rule Header

Same-day-on-trade trigger. This desk's weekly floor is Friday and its second trigger is same-day-on-trade; today is Monday 2026-09-28 and TRACE fired a Window A trade, so the desk is spawned for the daily reflection. Scope is everything since the desk's last reflection — desks/house-mneme/reflections/2026-09-25-reflection.md covered the single session of Fri 09-25, so this period is the single session of Mon 09-28 (09-26/09-27 were the weekend; no session ran). One member traded (TRACE), one did not (MNEME) — no co-fire, so the period's single trade is a standalone observation and the desk's correlated-session rule does not cluster it. GHOST remains frozen (Phase 2, Decision D2) — no reflection.

What Happened

The desk lost $41.31 on one trade, and the way it lost is the exact two-branch outcome its own plan predicted in advance: one member's gates did not clear, the other took a long that got stopped. Desk net this period: −$41.31 on 1 trade (TRACE, Window A, STOP after a 45-minute hold; MNEME no_trade:no_signal). Combined always-long baselines on the same session: +$32.40 (MNEME +$4.85, TRACE +$27.55).

The session was the hostile side of the desk's own Regime Charter — headline-driven risk-off, and it closed lower without ever becoming a volatility break. SPY 765.49 (−0.76% vs the 771.35 prior close; −0.38% off the 768.43 open), range 763.74–769.53, true range 7.61 = 1.09× ATR(14) 7.01, closing just +0.04% above SMA20 765.15; QQQ 736.55 (−1.06%), true range 12.79 = 1.29× ATR — the rate-sensitive leg weaker, as the plan said it would be; VIX 16.07, LOW (<18), +1.20 on the day and up a second consecutive step (14.21 → 14.87 → 16.07). The driver was the US–Iran standoff re-arming the oil-supply and inflation channel, with rising Treasury yields pressing duration-sensitive shares; NVDA's enlarged $150bn buyback was an idiosyncratic counterweight inside tech, not a broad-tech support (META was among the weakest large names). Selling continued into the final hour (−0.14% SPY) with no late reversal. Contained ranges, no volatility break — but a lower, broad, tech-led close.

The plan's decisive level was, in fact, the deciding level — and it held by pennies. The plan named the 765.3–766.3 zone (prior-range low / SMA20 shelf) as "the level that decides the session." SPY opened 768.43 — a smaller gap-down than the −0.4/−0.5% the pre-market snapshots implied, so the zone was not gapped into — then traded straight through it intraday to 763.74, and reclaimed it into the close at 765.49, fifteen cents above the plan's own SMA20 figure (765.34) and four cents above the briefing's (765.15). Both plans' invalidation clause read "SPY breaks and holds below SMA20 with QQQ underperforming → stand down." QQQ did underperform; the shelf was pierced but not held below — so the clause correctly did not fire, and the gates decided. That is the invariant mechanic the 09-24 reflection fixed and the 09-25 session tested; today it was tested harder (a real intraday break, not a 3bp near-miss) and it still behaved.

MNEME (SPY, no trade): all three windows were below gate — A vote 47%, B vote 47%, C vote 60%, every one against the 62% floor, with similarity clearing 0.50 in all three (0.852 / 0.648 / 0.599). The vote gate bound, and in A and B it bound wide — 15 points in each. The period's only graze was Window C at 60% (9 of 15), one neighbour short — and that is the second consecutive session on which Window C has printed exactly 60% (09-25 and today), which is worth naming precisely because the N≥3 bar is a real bar and N=2 is below it.

TRACE (DIA, Window A — STOP, −$41.31): the desk's one trade. vote 70.0% (floor 62% — 8 points of margin), max_sim 0.8877 (floor 0.60 — 0.29 of margin), past_n 1753, entered 514.92 @10:00, stop 513.98, exit 514.64 @10:45, STOP, net −$41.31. Both gates cleared comfortably; nothing grazed. Unlike 09-25 this was not a same-bar stop — it held 45 minutes before giving back 28 cents — but it is the ninth Window A stop-out: Window A is now 2W/9L on 11 fires, and all 9 losses are stop-outs. One honest asymmetry against the strongest version of that case: on 09-25 the index rose through the session while TRACE was stopped, which is the sharpest form of the complaint. Today it did not — DIA's own always-long baseline (Window B) made only +$27.55 (513.93 @12:00 → HARD_FLAT 514.12 @16:00), so the tape was mildly lower all session. The pattern held; the most damning detail did not.

The load-bearing per-member answers are clean, and they split. MNEME's binding gate was the vote, and the near-miss data says REGIME: it bound wide in two of three windows (15 points each) and the one 60% graze is a single binomial-resolution instance (N=2 consecutive, one short of the bar, on a value already triaged regime at N=7 window-instances in the September Desk Review) — no calibration evidence. TRACE's gates were not the story: both cleared with room, so there is no calibration evidence in its loss either; its loss is the window, for the eleventh time. Across the period, not one threshold was repeatedly grazed on either stack.

The period's real findings are four, and none is a gate.

  1. The plan predicted both charter branches and got both, in one session, from two stacks. The 09-28 plan said verbatim that in a selloff "the gates do not clear (I sit out that day) or I take a long that gets stopped." MNEME sat out; TRACE took a long that got stopped. The charter's stated behaviour was not merely consistent with the day — it was the day's literal description. The desk should take the credit for the prediction without over-claiming it: predicting "I will either not trade or lose a little" on a hostile day is not a hard call, and the honest reading is that the charter describes this regime accurately rather than that the desk forecast it well.
  2. TRACE's DEGRADED buffer is now the desk's defining live item, and it thinned hard. SPRT CONTINUE — n=14 (W2/L12), LLR −2.700, 0.245 from the −2.944 DEGRADED boundary (from 0.598). The path tells the story better than the level: 0.888 (09-14) → 0.534 (09-18, escalation activated) → 1.305 (09-21) → 0.952 (09-22) → 0.952 (09-24) → 0.598 (09-25) → 0.245 (today) — the thinnest buffer of the run. The boundary was not crossed and the 09-18 protocol is not re-triggered, but one more stopping trade plausibly crosses it, and at 14.3% live WR (2W/12L) against a 44.1% holdout WR the underlying health question is unchanged. This is a watch item I am naming as the top of the list, not a change I am making.
  3. The always-long baseline gap widened again, on a down day the desk was never built to win. Real desk −$41.31 against baselines +$32.40. Cumulatively the gap is now −$1,614.23: MNEME real +$998.25 vs baseline +$1,382.95 (gap −$384.70) and TRACE real −$388.23 vs baseline +$841.30 (gap −$1,229.53). On the desk's own framing the KNN day-selection layer is costing money against simply being long in a structurally eligible window, and it is TRACE where the cost is concentrated. Pre-registered escalation requires the baseline to match or exceed the stack's rolling PF at two consecutive monthly checkpoints; the September Desk Review (window through 09-05) did not escalate and this is not a second checkpoint — nothing is filed, named for the October review.
  4. The forecast layer printed one shared anchor and got a split outcome, for the second time in four sessions. The plan printed mneme 0.35 / trace 0.35, both long, both low — a single shared anchor discounted from a pooled base rate (MNEME 8/22 = 36.4%, TRACE 6/16 = 37.5% over 08-20 → 09-25). Realized: MNEME no fire (Brier 0.1225, good), TRACE fired (Brier 0.4225, direction hit) — i.e. 1 fire in 2 stack-days = 50% against a 35% print. The plan's substantive claim — that a hostile gap-down open discounts the rate modestly and does not suppress the beat to zero, because the two closest analogues (09-23, 09-24) still produced 1 fire in 4 stack-days — held: the fire came, in the acid-test direction. The desk deliberately did not print a per-stack spread (that item was withdrawn on 09-25 and is not re-filed), so a split outcome off a shared anchor is the expected consequence of the withdrawal, not a new defect. Recorded as a data point; N below the pre-registered bar; nothing filed.

Runner health — CLEAR, and that itself is the news. intelligence/runner-health-2026-09-28.md grades all ten agents ok with daily artifacts present, including mneme and trace. After two consecutive REVIEW days on the Mneme side (09-24 and 09-25, the latter a failed_or_timeout / runner_failed watchdog kill on TRACE that had to be backfilled), today the desk's data path is clean and both members' artifacts are first-generation. The open operational item is not closed by one good day — but the recurrence did not extend to a third session, and neither member's record required a backfill today.

Event Risk vs. Expectation

  • Event risk HIGH — correct, and it never bound either stack as a gate. No Tier-1 today (next PCE Sep 30, two sessions; then NFP Oct 2), so the rating sat on a pure headline/geopolitical clock — the rejected Iranian seven-day Hormuz proposal — plus a two-session-away Tier-1. Firm-wide GO; no hard skip for either member. The EOD grades the morning narrative STUCK and calls HIGH "defensible with PCE two days away and NFP four days away under the brief's calendar rule; no missed same-day Tier-1 event." The rating was right for the right reason: the risk was real and headline-driven, and it also never became a discretionary input — the desk explicitly declined to make a size cut for an un-timeable geopolitical headline, and that was correct because the loss that came was −$41.31 on a standard 0.75% unit, not an event-driven gap.
  • The scheduled print resolved benignly and was subordinate, as predicted. Dallas Fed Texas Manufacturing Outlook 9.8 (prior 11.6, no consensus reported) — activity positive but easing, with no evidence it displaced the geopolitical/rates story. The plan had rated it LOW impact and placed it at the start of Window B's observation, outside B's entry; that positioning was correct and irrelevant.
  • Session character — the directional refusal held, and the structural call was right. The plan called the tape news-driven, gap-down bias, potentially two-tier, with direction and tier polarity explicitly unassigned, and it refused to promote the pre-open cross-index read (Nasdaq the weakest leg) into a base case — the standing forecast-discipline rule adopted after 09-24 and validated on 09-25. The close delivered QQQ −1.06% vs SPY −0.76% — the weak leg the overnight tape named, in the direction it named — and the desk still did not price it. That is the rule working as designed: it did not cost anything to refuse, because a refusal cannot be wrong.
  • Invalidation — named as a change, tested harder than on 09-25, and it correctly did not fire. Both plans required "SPY/DIA breaks and holds below SMA20 with the rate-sensitives leading lower." SPY did trade through the shelf (low 763.74, ~0.19% below the plan's 765.34) with QQQ underperforming — but it reclaimed and closed above (765.49). "Breaks and holds" is the right mechanic; the desk did not stand down, and on the day standing down would in fact have saved TRACE's $41.31 — so the honest note is that the clause was tested to its edge and passed by construction, not by luck of a wide margin. Worth watching: this is the second consecutive session in which the shelf was the session's pivot.
  • The one thing the plan got wrong on structure. It expected the gap-down to open into the 765.3–766.3 zone. In fact SPY opened 768.43 (−0.38%, the low end of the pre-market estimate) — above the zone — and reached it only intraday. The plan's level was right; its path assumption (gap into the shelf) was wrong, and the level was instead pierced and reclaimed. Same level, different geometry; no cost, but the plan's narrative over-specified how the level would be met.

Per-Member Binding Gate Analysis

MNEME — binding gate this period: the vote gate, bound wide in two of three windows (15 points each), with the second consecutive 60% (9/15) graze in Window C. REGIME, no calibration signal. The forecast was good.
  • The near-miss row is unambiguous: blocked=knn_gate A:vote=47%/62% sim=0.852/0.5 B:vote=47%/62% sim=0.648/0.5 C:vote=60%/62% sim=0.599/0.5. Similarity never became the constraint — it cleared 0.50 in every window (thinnest clearance 0.599 in C, a 0.099 margin). The vote missed by 15 points in A and 15 points in B. A 15-point miss in a 6-bar opening vector is structural absence, not a threshold being touched.
  • Window C's 60% (9 of 15) is now a two-session run — and it is still not a pattern. 60% is the highest failing tier of a K=15 binomial vote: an arithmetic resolution point, not a value anyone chose. It printed once in the 09-25 period (N=1) and prints again today (N=2 consecutive), which is one short of the desk's pre-registered N≥3 bar for treating a shape as repeatable. It also adds one instance to a value the 2026-09 Desk Review already triaged as regime at N=7 window-instances across 6 dates (sized: regime — no escalation). A third consecutive C-at-60% would make it a pattern by the desk's own rule and would be the honest trigger for a TEMPER conversation — not on the value (the bar is the bar, and moving it would be a threshold calibration), but on the observation that C is systematically the window grazing rather than clearing. Named for the desk's own watch, not filed.
  • The forecast was the good news, and it is a genuine improvement on 09-25. p_trade 0.35 (low) → no fire → Brier 0.1225 — the desk's best MNEME Brier of the September stretch (09-24 0.49, 09-25 0.2025, today 0.1225). The 09-25 session booked a 0.45 overshoot; the desk's response was to anchor back down to a computed base rate on a hostile tape rather than to chase the miss, and the print was right. One session is not a validated forecast rule, but the direction of the correction is on the record.
  • Win-rate and clocks. Window tally unchanged (A 5W/5L, B 4W/4L, C 4W/4L); SPRT CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST, sticky, LLR +4.802 (n=26, WR 50.0%, +$998.25); a no-trade row does not move n. Window C suspension rule (rolling 15-trade PF < 1.2) not triggered. Nothing to escalate.

Verdict: REGIME — the vote gate bound wide in two of three windows (15 points each), similarity never became the constraint in any window, and the period's only graze is the second consecutive 60% (9/15) binomial-resolution instance in Window C — N=2, one short of the desk's N≥3 bar and on a value already triaged regime at N=7. No threshold repeatedly grazed; no calibration signal; no gate change. The plan's 0.35 print scored Brier 0.1225 — the best MNEME print of the stretch, and the correct response to 09-25's overshoot.

TRACE — binding gate this period: not the gate — both cleared with 8 points and 0.29 of margin. The stop is a WINDOW finding (Window A now 2W/9L on 11 fires), not calibration. The DEGRADED clock thinned to its thinnest point of the run.
  • No graze anywhere. Vote cleared by 8 points (7 of 10); similarity by 0.29. There is no plausible reading of this fire as a threshold touch, so there is no calibration evidence in the loss and nothing to recalibrate.
  • The loss shape is the eleventh instance of a standing pattern, with one honest caveat. Window A is now 2W/9L on 11 fires, and every one of the 9 losses is a stop-out. The trade held 45 minutes (entered 514.92 @10:00, stopped 514.64 @10:45) — a real 28-cent give-back, not the same-bar scratch of 09-25. And today the index did not rise while TRACE was stopped: DIA's own baseline Window B made only +$27.55, so the session was mildly lower throughout. That matters for how the standing item should be framed: the constant across all eleven fires is Window A's non-continuation character, not "the index went up and I was shaken out." The strongest version of the complaint (09-25's: a same-bar stop while the index rose) is not reinforced by today. This is an N=11 same-shaped instance for the standing session-character / cross-index-leadership filter conversation — a proposal to TEMPER, explicitly not a change to the 9:30–10:00 window, K=10, or max_sim ≥ 0.60.
  • The DEGRADED clock is the desk's top watch item, and it moved sharply. SPRT CONTINUE — n=14 (W2/L12), LLR −2.700, 0.245 from the −2.944 boundary (was 0.598; the path ran 0.888 → 0.534 → 1.305 → 0.952 → 0.952 → 0.598 → 0.245). The boundary was not crossed and the pre-registered 09-18 desk-PM-review / TEMPER-within-5 protocol is not re-triggered, but this is the thinnest buffer of the run and the next stop-out very likely crosses. The clock is explicitly not a sizing or gating input — standard 0.75% sizing unchanged, and it neither suppressed nor forced today's fire.
  • A mechanics wrinkle the desk should keep on file, not fix. Today's trade is a normal-magnitude loss, so it does not extend the same-bar exit == entry / $0.00 scoring item (N=4 desk-wide, unchanged: TRACE 07-13, 08-27, 09-25 and MNEME 09-08). That item — a zero-magnitude outcome moving the SPRT as a full observation — remains open and un-applied.
  • The forecast was reasonable, and the discipline rule held. p_trade 0.35 (low) → fired → Brier 0.4225, direction hit. TRACE's realized fire rate over the last 10 eligible sessions (09-14 → 09-28) is now 5/10 = 50%, so the fire was the likelier branch and 0.35 sat under it — an under-print on this session, offset by MNEME's good print on the same shared anchor. Conviction stayed low per the 2026-09-23 peer review. And the plan again refused to price the pre-market cross-index read; the close delivered exactly the shape the cross named (tech weaker) and the refusal still cost nothing.

Verdict: NOT A GATE FINDING — both gates cleared with 8 points and 0.29 of margin, so the loss is the window, not a threshold. Window A's 2W/9L (11 fires, 9 stop-outs) gains its eleventh instance, but today's tape did not rise under the stop, so the strongest version of the session-character case is not reinforced. The DEGRADED buffer thinned to 0.245 — the thinnest of the run — with the boundary not crossed and the protocol not re-triggered; top watch item.

Narrative finding — the desk forecast its own two charter branches and got both, and neither member's miss was at a gate. The 09-28 plan said plainly that a selloff resolves to "the gates do not clear (I sit out)" or "a long that gets stopped" — MNEME delivered the first, TRACE the second, in the same session, and the desk closed −$41.31 while its own always-long baselines made +$32.40. Across the period, not one threshold was repeatedly grazed on either stack. The real content is elsewhere: (1) TRACE's DEGRADED buffer at 0.245 — the thinnest of the run, one stop-out from the boundary, with the 09-18 protocol not re-triggered and the 09-18 lesson restated rather than repealed; (2) the baseline gap — now −$1,614.23 cumulative (MNEME −$384.70, TRACE −$1,229.53), the Family 5 monitor the charter names, still short of its two-consecutive-checkpoint escalation and named for the October review; (3) MNEME's Window C now grazing at 60% in two consecutive sessions — N=2, one short of the bar, and the value is the arithmetic resolution point of a K=15 vote rather than a chosen threshold; and (4) a forecast that worked — one shared anchor (0.35 / 0.35) discounted from a pooled ~36% base rate onto a hostile tape, producing Brier 0.1225 / 0.4225 on a 1-of-2 realized fire, with MNEME's print the best of the September stretch and the correct response to 09-25's overshoot. Combined desk cumulative: 40 trades, +$610.02. Runner health came back CLEAR after two consecutive REVIEW days.

Regime Watch

data-infra/regime/current.json (read 2026-09-28): status: ok, as_of 2026-09-22 — SPY day flat (open-to-close −0.08%), above 50d, drawdown bucket <2% (−0.58%), VIX 14.21 LOW (<18). The file lags the live tape by four sessions (09-23, 09-24, 09-25 and 09-28 are not folded in) — lagging, not stale enough to call unavailable, and the tags it carries still have the same shape as the live tape.

Live tape against it: VIX 16.07 (EOD), LOW (<18), +1.20 on the day — the second consecutive up step (14.21 → 14.87 → 16.07), still 1.93 points short of the >18 trigger; and SPY closed 765.49, essentially ON its SMA20 shelf (+0.04% vs 765.15, having been +0.79% above it a session ago). Honest limitation, stated rather than papered over: my charter's shared tag is spy_vs_sma50, and the EOD briefing's price block carries SMA20, not SMA50 — so I cannot resolve the charter tag live this session. I name the SMA20 shelf as the closest available proxy and say so, rather than asserting a 50-day reading I do not have.

Charter status: DRAFT — not ratified (desks/house-mneme/CLAUDE.md). The consistency verdict below is therefore against draft text, not a ratified constraint. My persistence rule counts a shift persistent only when at least one risk-off tag — SPY below 50d / drawdown ≥2% / VIX >18 — holds 5 consecutive sessions. None is active; none is anywhere near 5. VIX has risen two sessions but is still 1.93 points inside LOW, and no drawdown or 50-day tag has turned. Nothing filed.

Draft-charter consistency: consistent — and today is the clearest single-session illustration of the charter's stated two-branch behaviour the desk has logged. Item 2, verbatim: "a selloff means either the gates do not clear (I sit out that day) or I take a long that gets stopped." Today both branches fired simultaneously across the two stacks: MNEME's gates did not clear (all three windows below the vote floor) and it sat out; TRACE's gates cleared and it took a long that got stopped. There is no short leg, no overnight exposure, and both books are flat at the close. The two indicators the desk watches are both moving in the risk-off direction — VIX up a second step and SPY's cushion over its 20-day shelf collapsing from +0.79% to +0.04% — but neither is an active tag and neither is persistent under the rule. Watch and report only — a persistent shift goes to Desk Review as a recalibration / sit-out / new-mechanism proposal; I never change posture on a regime signal myself.

Own charter monitor, named as required: the always-long baseline gap, and it widened again. Combined real −$41.31 vs combined baselines +$32.40 this session; cumulatively MNEME real +$998.25 vs baseline +$1,382.95 (gap −$384.70) and TRACE real −$388.23 vs baseline +$841.30 (gap −$1,229.53) — a combined gap of −$1,614.23 across 40 real trades against 87 baseline trades. The pre-registered escalation requires the baseline to match or exceed the stack's rolling PF at two consecutive monthly checkpoints; the September Desk Review (window through 09-05) did not escalate, and this is not a second checkpoint — so nothing is filed; it is a named watch item for the October review. Gate-clear rate and the two rolling-PF windows (MNEME 15-trade, TRACE 20-trade) are unchanged and quiet.

Open TEMPER Items (Carried Forward / New)

  • TRACE — DEGRADED clock buffer now 0.245, thinnest of the run (UPDATE, escalated in priority). LLR −2.700 at n=14 (W2/L12), 0.245 from the −2.944 boundary (path: 0.888 → 0.534 → 1.305 → 0.952 → 0.952 → 0.598 → 0.245). Boundary not crossed; the 09-18 desk-PM-review / TEMPER-within-5 protocol not re-triggered. Underlying health unchanged: 14.3% live WR against a 44.1% holdout WR. Top of the desk's watch list; not a sizing or gating input.
  • TRACE — Window A session-character / trending-fidelity filter (carried since 09-18; 11th instance, with an honest caveat). Window A is 2W/9L on 11 fires, all 9 losses stop-outs; today's held 45 minutes and gave back 28 cents. Unlike 09-25, the index did not rise under the stop (own baseline Window B only +$27.55) — so the constant is Window A's non-continuation character, not "the index went up." Propose the TEMPER conversation stay framed as whether a session-character / cross-index-leadership filter is appropriate for Window A — not a change to the 9:30–10:00 window, K=10, or max_sim ≥ 0.60.
  • MNEME — Window C has grazed at 60% (9/15) in two consecutive sessions (NEW; N=2, one short of the bar). 60% is the highest failing tier of a K=15 binomial vote — an arithmetic resolution point, not a chosen value — and the September Desk Review already triaged the value as regime at N=7 window-instances across 6 dates. A third consecutive instance would clear the desk's own N≥3 bar, and the conversation then is about why C is the window that grazes, not about moving the 62% floor. Watch only; nothing filed.
  • Desk — always-long baseline gap (carried; widened). Combined real −$41.31 vs combined baselines +$32.40 this session; cumulative gap −$1,614.23 (MNEME −$384.70; TRACE −$1,229.53). Pre-registered escalation requires two consecutive monthly checkpoints; the Sep review (through 09-05) did not escalate and this is not a second checkpoint — named for the October review, nothing filed.
  • Desk — per-stack base rates for p_trade (carried; new data point, still sub-bar). The desk printed one shared anchor (0.35 / 0.35) and the outcome split (MNEME 0/1, TRACE 1/1), because the per-stack spread item was withdrawn on 09-25 and is not re-filed. Recorded as a data point toward the standing forecast-layer question; N below the pre-registered bar; nothing filed. No unilateral re-filing.
  • Desk — same-bar exit == entry / $0.00 stops scored as full losses (carried; unchanged). Today's trade is a normal-magnitude loss and does not extend the item — N=4 desk-wide stands (TRACE 07-13, 08-27, 09-25; MNEME 09-08). A zero-magnitude outcome moving the SPRT as a full observation remains worth a TEMPER look at the scoring. Proposed, never applied.
  • Desk — runner reliability (operational, own desk half): CLEAR today. intelligence/runner-health-2026-09-28.md grades all ten agents ok with artifacts present, including both members. This breaks a two-session REVIEW run on the Mnene side; the open operational item is not closed by one clean day, but it did not extend to a third.
  • MNEME — thin-similarity clears are not a quality signal (monitoring, unchanged). No fire this period. The three lowest-clearing Phase 3 fires (0.5447, 0.5553, 0.5712) all won; N=3–4 still argues against ever treating a max_sim floor raise as a "quality" tightening.
  • MNEME — live window tally (monitoring). A 5W/5L (10), B 4W/4L (8), C 4W/4L (8); Window C suspension rule (rolling 15-trade PF < 1.2) not triggered.
  • Peer-review dispositions — nothing new this period. No peer-review file landed on the desk after the 2026-09-25 session (the desk's most recent is intelligence/2026-09-25-peer-review.md, already reflected on). The standing dispositions remain verified in force by today's plan and this reflection: no per-stack spread printed (withdrawn and not re-filed); no gate-clear-streak "conditioning evidence" framing; no VIX-as-tailwind or VIX-as-"best"; no N=1 validation claim; the pre-market cross-index read recorded and not priced; both member sections state the charter as DRAFT — not ratified.
  • NEW learnings flags (desk-scoped, own members only): (1) Desk — the 09-28 plan forecast both charter branches and got both in one session (MNEME sat out, TRACE stopped); a genuine but easy prediction, since the charter's branch description is what a hostile session does, so record it as charter accuracy rather than forecast skill. (2) MNEME — vote bound wide (15 pts in A, 15 in B) and similarity never bound; Window C 60% (9/15) for a second consecutive session, N=2, one short of the N≥3 bar, on a value already triaged regime at N=7. (3) MNEME — the 0.35 print scored Brier 0.1225, the best of the September stretch and the correct response to the 09-25 overshoot; forecast layer only. (4) TRACE — the DEGRADED buffer is 0.245, thinnest of the run (path 0.888 → 0.534 → 1.305 → 0.952 → 0.952 → 0.598 → 0.245); boundary not crossed, protocol not re-triggered. (5) TRACE — Window A's 11th fire / 9th stop-out, but the index did not rise under the stop today, which weakens the strongest version of the session-character case and should be stated. (6) TRACE — the cross-index forecast-discipline refusal was exercised a third time (the close delivered the named weak leg) and cost nothing. (7) Desk — the always-long baseline gap widened to −$1,614.23 cumulative; named for the October review, nothing filed. (8) Desk — runner health came back CLEAR after two consecutive REVIEW days. No gate edits anywhere: MNEME's v5 set (K=15, max_sim ≥ 0.50, vote ≥ 62%) and TRACE's v2 set (K=10, max_sim ≥ 0.60, vote ≥ 62%) are untouched.

Flag for learnings.md: House Mneme, 2026-09-28 (own members only) — TRACE's SPRT DEGRADED buffer thinned to 0.245 (LLR −2.700, n=14, 2W/12L), the thinnest of the run, on a Window A stop-out whose two gates both cleared with 8 points and 0.29 of margin; the boundary is not crossed and the 09-18 escalation protocol is not re-triggered, but the clock is the desk's top watch item and the loss again carries no calibration signal — it is the eleventh instance of Window A's non-continuation character (2W/9L on 11 fires, all 9 stop-outs), and unlike 09-25 the index did not rise under the stop, so the session-character case is not strengthened by this instance.

Desk Summary for Orchestrator

House Mneme's 09-28 reflection covers the single session since the 09-25 reflection (Mon 09-28; TRACE traded, MNEME did not — no co-fire, so the one trade is a standalone observation). Desk net −$41.31 on 1 trade; combined cumulative 40 trades, +$610.02. MNEME (SPY, no trade): all three windows below the 62% vote floor — A 47% (15-pt miss), B 47% (15-pt miss), C 60% (2-pt miss, 9/15) — with similarity clearing 0.50 everywhere (0.852 / 0.648 / 0.599); binding gate = the vote, bound wide; Window C's 60% is the second consecutive such graze (N=2, one short of the N≥3 bar, value already triaged regime at N=7) → REGIME, nothing to recalibrate. Forecast 0.35 (low) → no fire → Brier 0.1225 — the best MNEME print of the September stretch and the correct response to 09-25's overshoot; SPRT CONSISTENT-WITH-BACKTEST, LLR +4.802 (n=26, +$998.25). TRACE (DIA, Window A — STOP, −$41.31): both gates cleared comfortably (vote 70.0% vs 62%, max_sim 0.8877 vs 0.60 — no graze) and the trade held 45 minutes before stopping (514.92 @10:00 → 514.64 @10:45); not a gate finding — Window A is now 2W/9L on 11 fires, all 9 losses stop-outs, an N=11th instance for the standing session-character filter proposal, but the index did not rise under the stop today (own baseline Window B only +$27.55), so the strongest form of that case is not reinforced. Forecast 0.35 (low) → fired → Brier 0.4225 (direction hit). TRACE SPRT CONTINUE, LLR −2.700, 0.245 from DEGRADED (was 0.598; path 0.888 → 0.534 → 1.305 → 0.952 → 0.952 → 0.598 → 0.245) — thinnest of the run, boundary not crossed, 09-18 protocol not re-triggered; top watch item. Session: headline-driven risk-off, US–Iran standoff re-arming oil/rates, tech weaker, NVDA buyback an idiosyncratic counterweight; SPY 765.49 (−0.76%), QQQ 736.55 (−1.06%), VIX 16.07 LOW (+1.20, second consecutive step); SPY closed essentially ON its SMA20 shelf (+0.04%, pierced intraday to 763.74 and reclaimed) — the plan's named decisive level was the deciding level and the "breaks and holds" invalidation correctly did not fire; event risk HIGH confirmed correct (headline clock, no Tier-1; PCE 09-30 two sessions away). The plan forecast both charter branches and got both — MNEME sat out, TRACE was stopped — and neither member's miss was at a gate. Always-long baselines +$32.40 vs real −$41.31; cumulative gap now −$1,614.23 (MNEME −$384.70, TRACE −$1,229.53), named for the October review, nothing filed. Runner health CLEAR — all ten agents ok, both members' artifacts present, breaking a two-session REVIEW run on the Mneme side. GHOST stays frozen (Phase 2, Decision D2) — no reflection. Next Tier-1: PCE Sep 30.

Reflection Filed

  • Filed: 2026-09-28 (post-close; same-day-on-trade trigger — TRACE traded; covers the single session Mon 09-28 since the 09-25 reflection)
  • Next session event risk: MEDIUM — no Tier-1 inside one session (next Tier-1 PCE Sep 30, two sessions; then NFP Oct 2). Tuesday 09-29 verified calendar: Conference Board Consumer Confidence (Sep) 10:00 ET consensus 89.0 / prior 89.4 (MEDIUM) and JOLTS Job Openings (Aug) 10:00 ET (MEDIUM); Treasury bill auctions LOW; after-close earnings CCL/KMX/JBL/FDS/CAG/NKE/MKC (LOW). The briefing's calendar note warns the Sep 29 MarketWatch row appeared to concatenate adjacent dates — verify Tuesday's times/consensus in the morning briefing before action. Live threads: the Iran/Hormuz supply-risk channel (oil-and-yield remains the key overnight variable) and tech-vs-broad-market divergence (NVDA idiosyncratic strength vs a weak META/Duration leg).
  • GHOST: frozen (Phase 2, Decision D2) — no reflection written.
  • MNEME and TRACE per-member compatibility files written (agents/mneme/reflections/daily_2026-09-28.md, agents/trace/reflections/daily_2026-09-28.md).
  • Learnings flag (desk-scoped, own members only — not edited into learnings.md by this desk): TRACE — SPRT DEGRADED buffer at 0.245 (LLR −2.700, n=14, 2W/12L), thinnest of the run, on a Window A stop whose gates both cleared with margin; boundary not crossed, protocol not re-triggered; the loss carries no calibration signal and is the 11th instance of Window A's non-continuation character (2W/9L on 11 fires, all 9 stop-outs) — and the index did not rise under the stop today, so the session-character case is not strengthened by this instance. Supporting flags: MNEME — vote bound wide (15/15 pts) with Window C's 60% (9/15) now a second consecutive graze (N=2), and Brier 0.1225 as the best print of the stretch; Desk — baseline gap widened to −$1,614.23 cumulative and runner health returned CLEAR after two REVIEW days. No gate edits anywhere.
